  1. I've been having this exact issue as well.  Seemingly only after the Beasts of the Sanctuary update.  It doesn't seem to be consistent either; I can go anywhere between 3 and 15 minutes before it freezes, and it doesn't happen every time.

  2. Loot pickup and vacuum have been a pretty heated topic at times within our community.  As a player who once didn't understand why everyone needed to be running carrier with vacuum, I now find myself unable to function properly without my sentinel scooping up ammo, resources, and energy for me.  I have a hard time slowing myself down to pick up the things I need, especially in sometimes laggy environments when things don't even pick up properly in the first place.  The massive new environment coming with Plains of Eidolon and the changes to snipers necessitates a change to loot pickups.

    Vacuum is not the answer

The pickup radius of vacuum is pretty small, which is generally okay-ish in the tight quarters and hallways of the tilesets we currently have.  PoE is going to completely change this.  The long lines of sight and open-world environment of the Plains are probably going to result in players playing further away from their enemies.  The lack of hallways and a designated route to funnel all the players through the same space is likely going to result in tons of missed pickups from enemies.  Also kubrows and kavats are still left out with vacuum, and what better place to let our favorite pets run free than on the Plains.

500 meters is a long way

With the changes to damage falloff coming with PoE, DE seems to want snipers to operate in a range of 300-600 meters which is fine, snipers need an operational space in the game.  However, with the current system, this would require our friendly neighborhood sniper user to travel around half a kilometer to claim the spoils of their kills.  Even with our immediate (albeit clunky) access to our archwings, 500 m is more than anyone wants to be forced to detour just to claim their rightful rewards and keep supplies up.  Making players go on miniature fetch missions after each firefight detracts from the openness and exploration of the open world.

Enemy drops should be instantly rewarded to players

Containers can remain how they are to encourage exploration and prevent nuking all the containers on the map and getting everything, but with the long range firefights coming with PoE, we should be rewarded for our kills rather than punished.  When you and your squad hit a nice flurry of sniper kills from 500 m away and a solid burst of rifle kills from 200 m away, you should be given your mods, credits, ammo, and other rewards without having to go physically loot the corpses.  This would allow for more fluid skirmishes and prevent having to chase down potential drops from stray enemies in the distance that you pick off while exploring the Plains.  This would also remove the disincentives of potentially missing out on pickups when using long range weapons.  Additionally, it would allow for players to run around the Plains with their pets (which I know my pets would love after so long in cryostasis).

  3. So I might be the only person who thinks this is an issue because most people probably don't run around mind controlling shield drones (and ospreys), but I feel they need an extremely simple tweak to their AI when under mind control's effects.  When you MC a shield drone, they stop adding shields to your enemies and instead shield you and your allies (defense targets, etc.); however, they do not care that that has become their job.  They just continue to fly around enemy groups intending to shield them even though they can't (and this usually results in their swift destruction).  Their AI should be adjusted so that when MC'd they fly around the Nyx that is in control (or at least one of their new allies) to give her the shield boost.  Granted the boost isn't too crazy, but 200 shields can really come in handy sometimes.  I'm fairly certain the code even already exists in game because when you side with the corpus on invasions the ospreys will fly around you and shield you.  Does anyone else feel like this should be a thing?

Okay here is what it is showing me.  I suppose I could try to install it on my internal HD, but that would put me at very low storage space.

I also just happened to catch the installer right before it kicked this message and it was at 76% downloaded when it failed.  There are about 8.3 GB worth of warframe files on my external HD.

  5. Hey all, if it weren't Sunday I'd be hitting up support, but since it's the weekend hopefully someone on the forums can help me out.

I played Warframe in the past, but because of school I had to uninstall it to make room for other programs.  I am trying to reinstall it again on my external hard drive (which has tons of free space), but after spending 30 minutes downloading it gives me an error message saying there isn't enough space on the disk.  My internal hard drive also has the required 10 GB free listed in the system requirements (but I would like to not fill it up to leave room for future school stuff) so I have no idea why it is giving me this message.  I've found a few other topics like this on the forum, but the only suggestion I saw that should do anything is running as an administrator, which I have tried but that didn't work either.  Also, I have gone through and deleted all the Warframe program files I was able to find to hopefully start from scratch but that did nothing as well.  I'll try to get an image of the specific message when it comes up again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  6. I don't think it's just me with this issue, but the launcher always updates the game painfully slowly.  I can rarely get a game download speed of like 10% of my internet's download speed, max.  It makes me sad sometimes, especially when it makes me miss alert missions I would have liked to have gone on like that Frost Squall Helmet BP alert.

  7. You just had to crouch  >_>  bet DE never tried that.

That didn't guarantee success though.  It definitely improved your chances, but a lot of the time it missed anyway.  The only reliable way was the jump attacks which, frankly, are severely weak.

I just remembered that a lot of the time, because of range extended mods, I can hit the enemies with a charge attack, but when that kills them, I often finish the ground where their body was before I either sliced it in half and/or launched it to the next closest planet.

  8. No, i'm aware that we won't get grenades any time soon. And maybe we won't ever have the need for grenades, who knows. I'm stating reasons why grenades would be hard as hell to execute. What i'm asking here is not to hear scott say anymore that grenades would be a superior mechanic to that of Tenno powers and have the urge to have him stare at the corner for 15min.

    Gotchaa

Yes, that... And i DO hope they do get around to make grenades for this sole reason. I have faith that eventually we will surpass that obstacle and they will notice the advantage of having freezing grenade combining with Vortex or something like that. Hell, you know what? I know they eventually will get there, they're smart and awesome, made it this far, there is no reason to believe they will not get to the point where we can have grenade mixed into our builds.

I just expect this to be like Update 15 or 16 or something.

    THIS ^

I can't deny that that would be cool (no pun intended), which is kinda coincidentally ironic because I was using my rather devious cryo round thunderbolt combo to achieve such wonderful evilness yesterday.

  9. It is nice that they added them because previously it was near impossible to hit a downed enemy with melee, but I also feel that they are hurtful more often than they are harmful.  Sometimes they activate not near the enemy and I miss, and sometimes the enemy slides out of the way mid-finish and I get upset and shoot his face off.  I don't think they should be removed, but as they have from day 1, they still need some work.  Trust me, they've gotten much better than when they first came out.

  10. I am.  I love the Corpus technology and I hate the Grineer more than they hate the Tenno.  The Grineer will undoubtedly turn their backs on us as soon as all the other Tenno help them slay the Corpus.  I'm hoping that DE will listen to the community and change the reward scheme to give people what they fought for, not just who won.  (And I'm still mad at Ruk for hogging all the Ember parts.)

  11. I guess this is the best place for this...

Anyhow, in my 8 or so months of playing Warframe, the game itself has crashed on me about 5-10 times.  Whenever the game crashes, a crash report system automatically pops up.  It prompts for a comment then after hitting next it says it's sending.  During sending, the crash report thing has always ceased functioning and then tells me that it could not connect to the server to send the report and nothing was sent.  I say either fix it or just get rid of it.  Anyone else experiencing this?
