  1. I went ahead and crafted a distiller extractor and deployed it to Venus (haven't finished all nodes on Uranus yet). I found out this morning that you can collect and deploy extractors with the app, so that partially solves the time issue.

  2. I see where you're going with this, but DE has yet to make game changing decisions without accounting for the things affected by the change. I have 100% confidence in DE and believe that they have already found solutions for all the problems people are asking about.

  3. So many people seem to think they know what they're talking about. One question for every one of you: how long have you been developing games? DE has been doing it for quite some time now. You know who does know what they're talking about? DE. If they say it can be done, I believe them. Simple as that.

And I just want to say that Play Station is garbage. That is all. The only thing Sony is good at right now is denying that the future of gaming involves cross-play. It's happening with more and more titles. They can either accept that, or slowly die off. Furthermore, there is nothing "better" about PS4 vs XBox One. The graphical differences are negligible and the exclusives are not that great. People are just trying to convince themselves that they didn't waste money.

  4. Firstly, they are swords. They have a sharpened edge. They are absolutely meant for cutting. What you see in the video is a ceremonial display. If you do some research, you can find plenty of different styles that incorporate slashing.

Secondly, they are VERY fast. Again, the video is ceremonial and thus the movement is deliberately slowed and exaggerated. The actual combat application incorporates much more speed and agility.

With whips, the main objective is to strike with the end. With Urumi, however, you're trying to drag the edge over your target. Similar, but not the same.

They are also by no means large. Long, maybe, but you're not likely to find a Urumi in excess of 20 lbs.

but I would be happy too with a tavern/bar for players to socialize and have fun at.

It's the pub hub! I wanna get Valkyr drunk.....cuz that couldn't end horribly or anything.

Have the jump button perform an attack that throws an enemy in to the air then jump in the air and while holding block, allow it to allow you to perform air attacks, locking you and the enemy being hit in the air until you stop attacking.

So, this is a hard no and here's why: everything in Warframe revolves around an incredibly high level of mobility. Anything that causes you to be locked in place is basically an insta-shun.

Something i noticed about using my melee weapon on warframe is that i switch melee combos based on the number of enemies and the distance they are from me.

No you don't. You switch combos based on stance mods and your E tempo.

Perhaps there should be combos for every weapon

Dude.....are you even playing the same game as the rest of us?

  7. This is a remake of a post which I apparently put in the wrong place...

That said, I'm proposing an entirely new style of melee weapon: Urumi Swords.

If you don't know what Urumi Swords are, or if you just like to watch them, please view the following video:

This would incorporate new stances and inflict pure slash damage. High speed and agile movements.

The "sword and shield" style displayed in the video wouldn't be necessary, unless the community prefers it that way.

That said, please feel free to comment to your heart's content. However, please refrane from non-constructive remarks. Progress is not made by wasting time.

feels like it should be a knockdown instead of ragdoll, and as for glaive+secondary i dont think it should have either

You are absolutely right, but until it's fixed I shall exploit it shamelessly 🤣

This is actually meant to happen though. I don't think it is with thrown+secondary dual wielding

Sure, I mean it makes sense to rag doll from a kick like that, but to be sent into orbit from it? Don't get me wrong, it entertains me greatly, I just don't feel like that was intended. Nor do I feel like the rag doll the OP is talking was, but is also entertaining.

IDK, I just like to watch dudes flop around helplessly...

  10. Which would be where?

I haven't seen a "suggestion" section anywhere and there are plenty of other suggestions in this very category.

that said, I'm gonna continue this thread since the apparent suggestion section isn't promptly displayed.

So, what I'd like to see out of this type of weapon is a lot of speed and slash damage.

Now a MR1 player has access to a fully ranked Serration on early planets. This is not nearly as easy as people seem to think it is.

I feel like a lot to do with mods isn't as easy as people seem to think it is. "Oh, just use Primed XYZ."....yea cuz primed mods are super simple to get. Or referencing rare mods as if everyone should just have one.

    perhaps scaling with mastery rank?

This is an idea I like. It would add another (and more meaningful) benefit to leveling MR. Granted, this would probably have to be addressed a bit differently for PvP as it would give higher MR players too much advantage.

  13. Agreed. It's not that the OP is a bad idea, just that it would probably be more efficient to simply expand the current system to include such buffs.

Honestly, I haven't messed with the new operator stuff yet (the plains lag hard when I try to load them, but that's a me problem and not a DE problem). I would like to beef my operator up, but I feel like the power ceiling is still pretty low.

  14. I have a fondness, or dare I say obsession, for melee weapons. The more variety, the better.

On that note, I present the idea for an entirely new type of melee weapon: Urumi Swords.

If you are uncertain of what an urumi sword is, or if you just like seeing them, please feast your eyes on this video:

This would, naturally, come with its own stances.

I'm speaking of the fact that many stances have movements that are not just 'not realistic' but downright UGLY due to how joints are meant to bend. There's 'unrealistic' like DW (which has exaggerated moves that still look good) and unrealistic like Warframe  (where many movements are just downright freaking me out).

Ah, I gotcha now. Yea, probably anims from the good ol' days that have yet to be fixed.
