So you just want Puncture to be worse corrosive? Naw. It’s proc should be creating a weak point and additional price increase size of said weak point and the damage increase it provides gets stronger.

Why add damage reduction to impact procs? If the enemy is staggered then Their damage output is already 0.

I just want all 3 damage types to be viable in the current meta, but I guess that's not possible. Honestly your suggestions sound good, but the puncture proc seems more like a gimick than an all-round solution. I'm open to suggestions though.

each Damage Type should just provide different tools. it's not really actually important for them to 'all be equal'. just as long as they aren't wildly out of balance with each other.
useful features that aren't going to just replace your potential desires for having any other Damage Types.

This guy gets it. You can't use the "oh well there's just gonna be a new meta" to justify not changing anything at all; at least we can improve the situation and see a variety of builds (imagine how fun a rapier might be if it ignored a portion of enemy armor). As of current, the only IPS you would ever, EVER want to use is slash; none of the others even come close. This definitely comes down to the slash proc being so powerful compared to the others that our entire meta is centered around slash and making it do more damage.

  3. Keep in mind: the main point of changing these procs is to open up new methods of gameplay and to diversify weapon choices, since the current meta basically makes a lot of weapons plain mastery fodder just because they aren't slash based (especially melee).

  4. I do think that AoE combined with my suggested puncture proc would be fine though, that's just another way to play the game. The way I suggested doing it would be a lot like a heat proc, which does 50% armor reduction for its duration.

Lets make it more universal. Impact procs marks an area on enemy body. A max of 4 areas can be marked and repeated marks works on an additive way. Marked area lasts for 4 seconds, hitting said area gives headshot damage bonus. Its way more universal than armor ignoring AND makes presicion valuable to making it less likely to be exploited by people using AOE sources of damage with a puncture proc source.

I think you meant puncture, but I get what you mean!

  6. As all players should know by now, slash is the best damage type by far out of impact, puncture, and slash. This doesn't seem fair since weapons who's primary damage type isn't slash are actively being discouraged in the meta, effectively nullifying content from the game.

My solution is to change impact and puncture to be more useful. First, I'll discuss some changes to puncture.

Puncture damage itself is fine; ignoring some enemy armor is good. However, the proc can't stand in the current meta. I propose that the puncture proc should make subsequent hits to the enemy ignore a portion of enemy armor, acting sort of like the damage type itself. The percentage of armor ignored can be adjusted, and so can the length of the proc.

Now let's talk about impact damage, the least useful damage type. The impact proc really should be both a stun and the current puncture proc (reduced enemy damage). This would make it a more useful CC proc, as impact should be used for. As for the actual damage, I think the main issue here is that the corpus just aren't the main threat currently; we will see if they buff the corpus or introduce more relevant content in the future.

TLDR: Puncture proc makes hits ignore a portion of enemy armor, impact proc should cause both a stun and enemy damage reduction (like the current puncture proc).

  7. 1. Get corrupted warframe mods, they are a must if you want to be more powerful and cater to a warframe's strengths.

    2. Search up builds online.

2.5. Seriously, just find some good warframe youtubers and watch their build guides, it made me way better at the game (better than my friend who got me started playing).

  8. So, I really want to like the latron series. I love single shot rifles in any game, even when playing CoD at my friend's house I use the single-shot "assault rifle". But the thing is, the latron series is a bit underpowered, with really high recoil not really attributed with single shot rifles (more around the stability of a revolver) and a really long reload for what it is. So, my suggestion is to lower the recoil so I don't have to use stabilizer all the time, and decrease the reload time from 2.4 seconds to 1.8 seconds or less (I usually expend the small magazine of 15 in around 4 seconds).

  9. DSpite, I agree with you on the screen shake being a bit overwhelming. I stopped using the lex almost right after I got it, it didn't feel right that the gun wasn't moving up but my whole entire freaking body was. Some weapons don't have the excuse of being light and having a large amount of recoil though, like the latron series should feel more like a long rifle with more backwards and horizontal recoil like the soma rather than a pistol firing a 20mm round. Ok, that would hurt, but you know what I mean. I once commented on a YT video that I thought these weapons didn't feel right, and this is the reason. I really want to like the latron prime, but even with stabilizer I also need to up the fire rate for it to feel like a true medium-power semi-auto. But I want to up the fire rate anyways, and the recoil is so bad it makes me MISS every other shot. This doesn't happen with the Warden in Planetside 2, mind you.

  10. Kainosh: well, it's nauseating to watch the whole screen bump up, so I guess I'll have to use recoil reducing mods. And yes, a lot of weapons in the games I play have a very pleasurable recoil.

Rogal_Sina: I do play recoil-heavy games, and I'm used to adjusting for recoil (planetside 2, line of sight). These games don't have semi-auto weapons with a ridiculous amount of recoil, and some of it is in the form of the gun tipping up instead of your whole body moving up. Warframe gives you the feeling that your suit is so strong it's able to not budge the arms when you fire the gun, but your body moves instead and so does your "eyes". I guess latron can be that one Czech gun I forgot the name of that kicks harder than Chuck Norris.

  11. So, as you know, some weapons kick a LOT. For instance, the lex (prime), latrons, pandero, etc. But this isn't natural, at least the WAY they kick isn't. For the pistols that kick, DON'T HAVE THE WHOLE SCREEN MOVE so much. I get it, it's for the illusion that your vision is slightly disturbed by the weapon's kick. But looking at some games like Heroes and Generals, they accomplish this by having the GUN move up mostly, not the entire screen. Also, some weapons such as the latron shouldn't have that much vertical recoil, it should kick back instead and get a little horizontal recoil. It should be comparable, if not even more controllable, to, say, the soma or the stradavar. Just my thoughts, post down below. I think these weapons need a bit of a recoil rework, they aren't too enjoyable and they're nauseating.

Also, Oberon isn't as bad as you guys make him seem. Don't specialize his build, use rage vitality and steel fiber, and spam his 4th and 3rd (and 2nd if procs are a thing).

it's called Coba, by the way (like the bad ape from that Rise of The Planet of The Apes movie).

as mentioned, the Dark sectors are and have been for some time under an armistice while the Devs figure out what to do with them. hopefully 2017 will be the year that DE rework the Dark sectors so that the fight for control can begin again!

    Thanks!

  13. So, Tikal and the other mission next to it that's defense are conquered by clans. I have a question, why and how to they give so many credits? And also, can these clans lock other clans out of this magnificent farming place? I can just solo complete 1 extractor, get out of the mission and get 13,500 credits. That's almost enough to purchase a standard blueprint, barely any of what you call farming. Why?
