  1. Tenno weapons are mostly from tenno descend. It is unlikely that tenno weapons are based on orokin weaponry. As orokin weapons are basically all corrupted versions of weapons brought to the void by other factions.

    What? That's completely backwards.

The warframes are base on the prime versions. Same with the weapons.

    It is known.

  2. If you read the post I mention the Digital Extremes bit...

And no the idea is that is not likely to be possible. I will eat my own tongue if they release a Dex Nova.

Don't worry, I read the post. Only reaffirming the opinion that it's probably just a nod towards the company's name.

  3. The Dex is probably short for Digital EXtremes, the developer of the game. The first comment said it perfectly, I think you're just putting way too much stock into the name. It's probably just an anniversary theme.

Though just a thought, it can open a lot of new avenues like "Dex-ing" a warframe that wouldn't fit being "Primed" lore-wise.

P.S. How is this really a PSA (public service announcement)? This just seems like an assumption/opinion driven discussion. AKA any other thread. The title is a little misleading for the people that seek out PSA's so as to not miss out on things.

  4. I am pretty damn sure that if I am rank 13, I am gonna have the best mods and gear by now.

And I'm pretty sure it's possible to get the best weapons and damage output by NOT farming every weapon in the game.

Not all of us are fans of doing that, so we're going to have to make a compromise. Conclave is a good one at this point.

  5. Or you know, step up your game when it comes to posting something that wasn't already done 100x's already.

Because calling people "kid" is new to the gaming community by any means.

Come on now, even you should be able to see the irony.

Side note, yea, memes kinda suck.

  6. It's still impulse, people could have waited to see what would have happened.

As for myself I didn't mind taking a risk and buying the "glitched" one because it had better stats, now low and behold look it's the dragon nikana after a couple hours after the patch was released. If only people had waited it out for a bit than they wouldn't be in the situation they are in right now.

You keep using that word "impulse" I don't think it means, what you think it means.

  7. This. You clicked away moments before the "hack". Talk about bad luck :/

I actually did watch the transmission, I just interpreted it wrong.. I thought it was a hint towards his boss fight coming soon. Watching it again with the knowledge of a higher tier reward makes it make sense.

     Was user error.

Thanks for the very quick replies, at least I'll be getting the meat of the rewards.

  8. Forgive me for not noticing but has this level of reward always been here? When did they add that??

I did the event on the first day and I had time, watched the livestream where Rebecca asked if there were going to be any changes to the event in any way, to which Scott said "No". So I didn't feel the need to keep tabs on the event.

Now that I check, I missed out on something.

Not exactly a complaint topic, only trying to understand how this happened. May someone clarify to me how this worked out?

  9. Well usually duals have a higher fire rate and double the clip size, which results in higher overall sustained DPS.  To make the dual and single versions the same would result in them being reskins of each other.

DE usually balances them by adding recoil, reloading time, loss of accuracy, etc.

    How would you balance them?

While it's true that's what they do, lets not kid around here. The drawbacks to dual wielding are negligible.

I would keep the fire rate, double clip, for a more sustained DPS while doing something like destroying the crit and status chance thus giving the singles a feel of precisely hitting vital spots because you are properly controlling the gun with both hands. So while the single might not have the DPS of the duals, which makes sense, it could possibly have more burst potential through crits. symbolizing hitting of a vital spot.

  10. market weapons are one thing, prime weapons another thing and event weapons are yet another thing.

Events are done once in a while and the users that participate in those events to a certain degree get a good reward.

It has to be a good weapon, because an event doesn't appear everyday

No they ABSOLUTELY DO NOT!!!! They need to be UNIQUE because they don't show up often. They do not need to be power creep weapons that make another weapon choice obsolete by being better than it.

    1. Brakk is OP.

    2. Event exlusivity bla bla ... see nr.1.

    3. Need to be balanced with Detron around Bronco P.

    This guy gets it.

  11.

Power progression (I am not going to use the term 'power creep' because this forum literally does not understand why increasing player power over time can be a good thing) is 90% of the reason you play an action-RPG game like this, Borderlands, or Diablo. The "destination" you seek to reach is a game where 90% of the content is pointless, because the moment you find the gun you like, you're going to stick with it forever. Why increase mastery ranks? Why buy more than 4 potatoes?

See, I get what you're saying and I hope you get that what I spoke of about sidegrades is only one small subject that could

branch of into a much more broad area. What I mean by that is in this "destination" we're talking about you say, more or less,

"what is the point of having sidegrades if when you reach end game there is no feeling of progression, no point to the mastery

system, and no point in adding more formas to a weapon." What I'm trying to say is that gear equipped should be the be-all

end-all of end game. What I Personally and I can't stress that part enough, is that their end-game should revolve around

actual content and bosses that are of equal 'end game strength' but utilize different mechanics. One boss could be a robot with

lasers, while another could be an underwater shark with a monkey wrench(just random examples). However they're completely

different bosses, fight completely different, and require completely different approaches to deal with. All the while you are free

to use whatever weapon you feel that you want to, not what weapon you have been funneled into using because it is the

optimal thing and is expected to be used. I think before they start making newer and better weapons to make you feel like

you're getting stronger, they should be making Mods that can make every weapon more powerful; Still gives the sense of

progression without limiting player's agency in weapon choice.

  12. I agree that viability should be equal in all weapons, but, because De need's to give people a reason to keep getting new stuff other than mastery, they need to make better and better weapons. That said, here's my take.

I think that weapons should be further customizable, in a way that let's you make any weapon 100% endgame viable, the difference being that high level/exclusive/hard to get weapons take less work to get there. I'm not sure how clear I'm being. Despair is often considered good without forma, a four times forma'd viper is about as viable as a no formaed despair.....kind of, not really. What I'm trying to say is people should be able to sink hundreds of hours and millions of credits into the weapons they want to make them viable which would require a way to extend the mod system...anyway, that's another topic but that's how I think it should go.

I think "more unique" should replace the word "better" in the first part. But that's just me personally.. I think it still gives the feeling of upgrading without making any of developer's previously hard work created content obsolete.

though I agree, on the second half same result as my own, only a different means of getting there. I'm not picky on the road to the destination I think that's a more than acceptable approach.
