  1. I'm having bit of trouble on this one. The update is failing after it downloads the basic data for the update (download size notably). This is the first downloading issue I have had.

As for solutions, I've tried toggling aggressive/bulk downloading, using both the verify and optimise launcher tools, and resorted to redownloading the entire game through steam to no avail. Also disabled entire anti-virus and firewalls.

Am I the only one with my problem, or are the download servers having some trouble at the moment? Oceania server btw.

  2. Can you fix the Helios DE? It scans everything regardless of codex completion as of late. It doesn't matter whether I'm host or not; it just keeps on scanning everything, and I think that 241 scans of a charger just barely meets the 30 scan requirement.

Lately I've been buying the codex scanners in >5000 scanner lots, and it is quite common for the 100 scanner limit to be filled in a single mission.

  3. I actually use magnum force to increase the spread - you can see that the accuracy is perfect otherwise by the fact that the projectiles land on each other. The spread, for me at least, is handy to increase the aoe, while still allowing for a concentrated hit in the middle of the castings spread (often enough).

  4. Soma is spin-up, and so not an "assault rifle" by op's description. He's talking about traditional rifle types, similar to what are being used in modern warfare. I would like a heavier assault rifle similar to the g3 myself. Agree strongly with op - de's gone waaay out there with guns like phage, please dial it back for the next few guns for a more classic feel.

  5. What if the glaive was flattened (thick sheet metal basically) and part of the charging animation was twisting them to disengage a locking mechanism, then separating them, before throwing one (or both). Once caught, they would be reattached to each other. This could balance out the power of 2 with a longer charge time, and would make carrying around dual glaives less ridiculous.

  6. No parts should be tradeable, or bps, or even keys imo. All trading is a moneygrab by DE focused on making players sink more money into the game. I'm fine with that generally, but the ability of buying prime items for plat has taken it too far. This is DE saying **** you to players who have previously farmed these items for hours on end, only to see a lvl 0 who payed a couple of dollars to DE running around with the exact same weapon. To do that to detron and stalker drops wouldn't surprise me at all - it looks like DE is trying to get all the money they can out of the game, and not caring if it ruins it.

  7. The last thing we need is another buff to separate ourselves even further from the enemy. Surely you can see that?

Removing the requirement for serration to take up a slot in a build and so subsequently allowing for another 90% elemental per se would drastically increase this difference, making killing any enemy much easier than it already is. The enemies already badly need a buff, so why increase this distance further. Well that is my humble opinion anyway.

  8. I was trying to make a loadout that would not give off a muzzle flare or that would not give away my position from a darker area, so I experimented with the smoke colours.

I was surprised to see that the black, the obvious choice, instead only removed the visual trail, leaving a bright white light where my kunai/despair were in the air. I was wondering whether this cold be reworked to be a black trail like the rest of the colours, instead of removing them and making another visual cue?

  9. Over great periods of time with their superior minds, is it not possible that they have re-established their numbers even if only a few of them survived? The lore calls Tenno the betrayers, perhaps the AIs controlling them began to view the Orokin as the aggressors to be terminated, and once the Orokin realised this they fled, activating a kill switch on tenno and the controlling AI alike, forcing them into a dormant state.

  10. After some thought as to why Tenno were put in cryopods, I thought that it might be because the orokin in all of their wisdom decided to leave the system to either observe its function without them or to construct a stronghold out of the reach of any other factions. Anyways, this is my idea:

The orokin return to find that the Lotus, one of their former tenno control AIs has been activated accidentally by corpus scientists (a possibility) while trying to replicate the computing programming and design of the more complex orokin technologies. Since activation, this "Lotus" has declared guerrilla warfare on all factions using the Tenino operatives previously under her control.

This is simply unacceptable to the orokin, and so they return to end the madness of the lotus, activating a small number of AIs to extinguish the lotus and subsequently all of the tenno under her control. Unfortunately for the orokin, these tenno operatives are some of the finest, and are also well modded due to the length of their activation.

This would allow a new, much more dynamic faction to be added, while also bringing in the introduction of new equipment, after many years of orokin development that will be introduced to the system at once.

    Thoughts?

  11. People shouldn't worry about little kids running around with soma - de made the gun so incredibly easy and boring to use that most should be over it in a day or 2. I know I was.

If they touch my grinlok though, sparks will fly so I do know how soma fanboys feel.

  12. Well then, how about a grenadier frame?

1 could be a HE grenade

    2 could be a flashbang

3 could be a frag grenade (dat shrapnel)

4 could be a mother of all grenades (or grenade spam of like 15 all around you)

Not very well developed, I know, although it is a way to add grenades to the game for those who really want them.

  13. Hi there, I will admit I caved in and bought the gun with plat, although through my runs with it (3 forma in it now) I have noticed that it does not use a conventional magazine, but rather a hopper much like a paintball gun. Perhaps the pellets are spherical, which explains the low puncture damage, and also the clan tech research, in that a fairly unique propulsion system is required.

    Anyways, something to think about.

  14. I haven't noticed any drastic lapses in accuracy, however one thing that bugs me is that I can't shoot from running; instead the game just stops me running and doesn't fire the shot. Due to the zero recoil of the grinlock, do you think that this might be what happened?
