  2. If this riddle/puzzle room feature was implemented, there will surely be those who are hyped to go for it, those who completely don't care, and also those who want to get in the room, but can't, maybe due to them not being *that* fast / intellectually good enough to solve those riddles.

Now, I'm not insulting people who can't solve the riddles.

All I'm saying is that these people who want to get into the rooms to get the rewards, can't, because they just can't crack the code, and as a result, lose out to others who *are* able to solve the aforementioned puzzles.

I get that this feature (if ever implemented) should be completely optional, put in the void/derelict, and away from the main mission's focus. But Warframe is a shooter game, not a puzzle game, and there are just bound to be people who will lose out simply because they can't solve a puzzle. Players in a shooter game shouldn't lose out due to them being intellectually 'slower' than other players (excuse the lack of better vocabulary).

You could easily say the same thing about the alarm hacks. It's a puzzle. I know that someone out there has trouble solving those, or just can't do it fast enough, and are therefor stuck in a room. Or miss out on something. As such, players tend to start finding other players to play with, or just start playing publicly. I've been invited to quite a few void missions simply to do the parkour challenges, because other people had issues. Speaking of the parkour challenges, Warframe is a "shooter" game, yet DE has implemented these parkour challenges in to it. "Shooter" doesn't necessarily point towards having parkour. Battlefield, for instance, is a shooter, and has no parkour. Warframe does. But these parkour challenges in no way hinder someone's experience with the game. They are completely optional, and if you are having issues, you can ask someone else to come with you and help out. The same thing could be applied with these riddles/puzzles. The puzzles would add in more content, and in the case of players who can't solve them and need help, promote more multiplayer instead of running solo.

  3. I reckon the light that appears out the top of their weapon could also be adapted to be a hook, make the weapon double up as the moa's utility equipment.

    LOL

Those "lights" only appear when Loki uses Radial Disarm. It's the old Prova skin, which is applied to any and all enemy NPC's in the area of Loki's ultimate. Since they have to resort to melee, and not all NPC's have obvious melee weapons, that skin is applied, and when applied to MOA's, it makes the UniMOA! But yes, that would be interesting if it were applied to the MOA's as a sort of grappling hook for ziplines.

  4. just a heads up...

Lanka and Paris Prime now have innate puncture (there's a patchnote for it saying that snipers now have innate puncture, Vectis however still doesn't have it)

    I haven't tested my Vulkar..

    And you know what? Those people laughing at your snipetron is just jealous...iirc.........You can't get Snipetron anymore right? o;

seeing so many newbies having troubles at Earth makes me think I should go back and run those things.

Just to correct you a little bit, the Lanka has always had innate punch through... of 5 meters. Which can be 8.3 with Metal Auger and Shred. The patch notes say that ALL bows now have innate punch through when fired at full draw. Lanka will be the only sniper to have innate punch through.

Unless I missed something... Makes me want to check.

    *Goes to check*

Yep, checked, and I was correct. Nothing noted about snipers getting innate punch through, and technically, the Lanka is a rail gun, not a sniper's rifle. Soooo yea... That's the only exception. Anyways, I'm done spouting my nonsense, have a good day. ^^

  5. Well, I know how that feels. I generally try to say something to the people who do it while I'm in game though. Spawns that are directly attached to the terminal room probably would fix this, and I can think of plenty of rooms where they could spawn, but I'm sure that there is something preventing them from doing this though, otherwise, I think they already would have. As far as the friends and clan goes, House of the Fallen is looking for new members, but we're yet to post anything on the forums, we want our clan emblem commissioned first. But you are always welcome to whisper Meinulfr or me (Shakara) about joining. We generally have members on at all hours of the day, and are fairly active. Just send a tell if you're interested. Always looking to help fellow Tenno.

  6. One bug after the other it seems. So, I was in PGO (Pink Giant Octopus) at one point, had a good time, but left. I then join House of the Fallen, which doesn't have a clan emblem yet, so it's the default Lotus Symbol. Messing around in my arsenal, this happened...

I'm being stalked... And not by the Stalker... xD jk jk

Seriously though, just took this screenshot a few minutes ago, and I've been out of PGO for a while. Can ya'll look into this, please, DE? xD

EDIT: Forgot to mention that that is PGO's emblem (if that isn't obvious, xD).

  7. So, after going into the new tile set and encountering a Frontier Regulator and scanning it, I decided to go into Phobos to get the Regulator there. When I got the scan, I went back to look at the Codex and saw this...

Any reason why the 'Arid' Regulator and Frontier Regulator have the same name?

  8. Brief peek behind the curtain:

Welcome welcome PS4 players! Update 11 (+hotfixes) has been in cert for a week - we're pushing to get this live as soon as possible.

11.5 is looking to be quite substantial. Is that a new Warframe!? A limited chunk of the Jungle set will be rolling out with a cool new event wrapped around it! There are some cool change ups in the event like time-of-day and the use of Scanning to augment your missions.

As for me, I’ve been working on Network Optimization. Network bandwidth has been reduced 1/3rd outgoing host and less than half outgoing for a client. General improvement in smoothness as well. Very excited for this. Soon to wrap this, then I'm full speed on solving the Forma'd slot order problem that elemental combinations have created.

Ready for a mega-list of everything else that’s going on? There’s lots, get ready...

    • Weapons and weapon skins - some new firing modes for added diversity!
    • Multiple resource drone deployments, coming.
    • Optional clan-specified trading tax to bulk up your Vault!
    • Gas expands and so does the Gas City tileset - art improvements, more diversity.
    • I see progress on systemic invasions & battle pay - moving this from one-off to part of the game.
    • VOIP code has been smashed into better shape with less network utilization better quality and improved threading performance.
    • Lotus voice rolling out with rerecorded, matched levels using the new dynamic DSP (instead the baffling mix of old distorted & new clean style).
    • Vay Hek is being worked on - he is a propaganda machine - I think he'll be turning out hilarious and awesome. Complete and ambitious redo of him from visuals to gameplay.
    • I shaved my beard off by accident (trimming mishap).
    • Our new UI artist started, had a meeting and we all laughed/cried at our coder-art. We reviewed player feedback about UI problems. His first project is redo the HUD... no pressure.
    • Design is still cracking away at the new damage model. We've rewritten our statistics gathering for weapons and will be chipping away at gross imbalances. Expect more changes to the resistances and immunities as we add diversity to the enemy types and take better advantage of the new damage model.
    • The Nexus app has been rewritten and includes a mobile version of the Codex. The performance issues have been resolved and now we're anxious to hook this up to your account/live data.
    • A training section is being added to the Codex to help with new players learning all the wackiness that is Warframe. This will feature simple but cool visuals as well as rewards for going through them to encourage use.
    • Ability & Sentinel Mods have been removed from the store Mod packs and Transmutation. This helps with dilution considerably. For the time being enemies will still be dropping these.
    • I see the improved Melee system being worked on as well with a lot more animation diversity and control of your moves.
    • The audio team has recorded a ton more raw sounds for future weapons - George will post about this later I think. I think I saw pressure waves from the video of the session. Wow.
    • Crazy new movement mode for U12? Can't talk about this because it may be a bust.

Thanks for reading and sorry for the terse report! Now diving back in!

More specifically at the movement mode, will there be SWIMMING?! xD

  9.    So i'm at that part in the game where you have 5 maxed reactor'd frames, a couple guns/setups tailored for taking down the 3 factions and primarily all the cards you need in your builds to feel complete. But what is it all for? I find myself grinding the ole faceroll defense/survivals to get into faceroll places. Just everything is faceroll. Was this game designed for solo play? I can see this being a little difficult if you were alone on a no shield nightmare... maybe? Depends what faceroll character you play. lol. Am I missing something or do you feel like once you get power and streamline rolling on your frame with maybe a half upgraded shield that this game just gets entirely too faceroll? I was excited for the difficulty once I hit the end of this game but I have been pretty disappointed. Can someone help me out here? Is there a planet/moon/dwarf planet I'm not aware of?

Only five maxed reactor'd frames? Awww... Go get some more. Almost 8 maxed reactor'd frames. Just gotta wait for Saryn to build...

Also, what weapons are you using? I swear if I see Galatine...

  10. I finally got my Angel of Death achievement playing as a Trin. Got over 100+ kills in a Survival with just weapons, so I'm thinking the kills have to be with a weapon, and not a power.

  11. Hey all, I made this topic just to see what everyone's fastest Obstacle Course time is, for some friendly competition.

So far, my fastest time is 1:14. :P

Don't be afraid to post anything, as I'm sure there are tips and tricks that everyone has for the obstacle course that we all can share.
