I am tired of failing the base capture missions simply because there aren't enough enemies to find and kill them fast enough.  Did a T5 solo bounty tonight, and saw the percentage dropping fast but couldn't find enemies fast enough.  I was bullet jumping all around looking for them.  I know to go towards the drop ships.  I know to watch the mini map for the red triangles.  I even know each enemy gives ten percent.  I can kill them fast when I find them, and I am not dying.

    Hard because there are many enemies shooting at you is one thing.  But enemies playing hide and seek is not fun.

    If you don't want me to play solo, and that is the issue, then tell me or remove the option.

    I wish I could select the actual missions, rather than get a random set of five.  That way I could avoid these.  And I could play different warframes and weapons, rather than ones that can handle everything.

  2. Did a solo Excavation Fissure 17-19 on Augustas Mars against Grineer.  Did the first two and opened the first relic.  The wait was long for power cell carriers.  Decided to stay for a 2nd relic.  Started the excavator then waited twenty minutes for a power cell carrier to show up.  

    The spawn rate for solo excavator has always been ridiculous, but this is obviously a bug.   Others have similar issues

    I know that if there are two many batteries on the ground, that more may not spawn.  But in this case not a single battery had been left on the ground any where on the map.  I also know that cell carriers may take time to get to the new location, but there weren't any at the old location either.  And several fissures had opened and dropped off enemies close by many times.  I also know batteries will show up on the mini map, so I am sure I wasn't missing them.

     

    Solo excavators have needed a looking at for a long time.  But this bug needs to be fixed ASAP.

     

  3. I realize that if there is a cave that they can spawn inside.  Just trying to search above ground and below ground solo for three caches can be a bit much.  Especially if it is a big cave that the circle fully encloses.

  4. Still have issues with base capture missions.  Twice now I have had to abort because there was no timer, but the percentage held was going down.

    And several times I have done low, middle, and high missions were there weren't enough enemies around to kill during the hold the base phase.  Each enemy gives 10% when killed, but I couldn't find any enemies.  Maybe they were someplace, but I was bullet jumping all over the place looking.  And I have done several of these where half the enemies are above ground, but half are below ground in a cave.  Even in a group you don't expect enemies in the cave after you already killed the ones in there at the start.

     

    I would suggest the spawn circle to be smaller and based on squad size.  This way the enemies should at least be close to me.  Or maybe highlight the enemies like when the mission is over and you have to kill the remaining.  And don't spawn enemies in the cave, especially if player is solo.

     

    Overall I like the idea of the mission, but I dread it everytime.  Failing because you can't find the enemies is not fun.

     

    (The find the caches one is easier now that you can hear them.  So that is better.  Those sometimes spawn in caves too, which is a bit much solo.)

  5. I also have this happen.  It started about a week ago, maybe two.  I have - Win 10, Nvidia 780M with very latest drivers and G.E., in fact I tried Freestyle and it happens with or without it.  Mostly I only see it on some tile sets.  Like the ones that have heat generators.

In the cases I had last night, the speakers/towers where hacked, and the turrets where destroyed.  I am not an expert, but I try to keep myself up on the game.  I spend an hour a day reading reddit posts, and studying the wiki.  Troops where being dropped in front of me, behind me, to the sides, faster than I could kill them.  Maybe it is just me, if so I will avoid bounties..  I can have an easier time on Hydron, or the Index on Hard, or level 85 arena, than doing a 10-15 bounty in PoE.  Or, it is just bugged.

I also do 20-40 and higher missions usually.  And so far I have just put up with the harder difficulty for solo players.  Maybe DE wants to push players to group up, especially on harder levels.  Maybe not, I don't know.  But I do know what I saw last night in a 10-15 bounty, that I ran over and over.  That was something that a newb can not consistently handle solo.

    You bring up some good points about the drop ships, and other ships.  I think those, and the ground turrets make any mission harder for a solo player.  I don't think that is the only issue, but it certainly is a factor.

The sentinel is when I am doing the higher level bounties, not the 10-15 one.  Any my sentinel doesn't always die on higher level missions.  My point is that if you are solo and you lose the sentinel with a loot mod, then the difficulty ramps up higher than what I think DE intends.  As for the sound, I don't always hear it.  So, if I lose my sentinel, and I am solo there is a decent chance I will fail this.  And I know from other posts that there are hearing impaired players in the game.

    And if the 10-15 bounties need special weapons, or abilities, or special mod loadouts, then how can a newb do it?  Have you solo-ed many bounties?  In a group of four it maybe fine.  And I am not asking how to do it, I just think that the 10-15 is not even close to anything in the starchart at 10-15 or even 20 levels higher.

    As for the Shadow Stalker, this is because the stalker gets resistance to the weapons you use.  You only see the Shadow Stalker after you have done the second dream.  Which means you should attack him until your damage drops, then reset him using what you learn in the second dream.  Otherwise use weapons with different damage types and switch between them, but that can take longer.  Best to just reset him after attacking a bit.

    Thanks for the suggestions though.  But I really think the capture and hold stage is bugged.  Maybe it treats solo as a squad of four, maybe a squad of eight, maybe it selects the wrong level.  I don't know, but after seeing the issue at higher levels I thought maybe it was me.  But after seeing it at 10-15, when trying to get Gara, I knew it wasn't right.  The task is bugged.

The difficulty of some plains bounty stages are WAY to hard if you are solo.  I am MR 14, have 24 different WarFrames, a ton of mods, cleared the star chart, etc.  Last night several times I failed a 10-15 bounty at the capture and hold the base stage.  Anything in the star chart below 45 seems much easier than this stage solo.  (Not exaggerating)  I can solo level 60, level 80 stuff in the star chart but I can't do PoE capture and hold a base at the lowest level of 10-15?  This is not right.  And I know you need to kill enemies as fast as possible.  So it is not because I am hiding or otherwise not doing the mission right.  And I have completed this stage at this difficulty, and higher, it is not consistent and just can often get very hard to solo.

    I think the difficulty of this mission needs to be checked for solo at all difficulty levels.  As I also feel the 20-40, which I have tried many times, is also set way to hard for the level indicated.

    Keep in mind I am not whining and saying the 40-60, the hardest level, is too hard and I want an easy game.  I just think that the 10-15 is set way to hard in solo, and I don't see how a newb with less mods, worse weapons, and fewer warframes, to be able to complete this.  

     

    While I am here, also look at the find three caches stage.  This is also much harder as a solo player.  If I have done other stages before and my carrier is dead, even with primed regen, then I don't have loot detector mods and will fail it.  My choice would be to die so my carrier is revived, or put loot mods on my warframe.  I would suggest yo make the search area bigger or smaller depending on the group size, or make it so solo players only have to find two caches.

    And maybe check the other stages to make sure the difficulty is set right for a solo player at the level the bounty is at.

    (I submitted this as a bug, because I feel the difficulty setting is so far off it can't be on purpose.  And maybe in solo it is a bug that is causing too many enemies, or the wrong enemy types, or high level ones.  This mission is just too far off at 10-15 to be right) 

  10. I just went through Vors Prize with two new players.  I would say the quest needs to be slowed down, because it is too much information too fast.  You go to pick up a piece for your ship, you use it once, then it is on to the next piece.  Each thing needs to be covered more than the quick overview.  Like get the navigator piece, put it in, then tell them to use it to launch a mission and have them do it a three times total, then do the foundry, and have them use it three times.  Maybe when the market is introduced, have them buy a low level blue print, and then make it in the foundry.  The idea is that each part is introduced multiple times, and maybe give more details, while covering the basics again each time.

     

    The arsenal needs to be covered over many different small bits, as there is a lot to learn.  Have then learn what mods might be better than others, try different builds, upgrade a couple mods, learn what endo is and how to get more.  This could be a whole quest itself as there is so much to it.

    So, try to reduce TMI by reinforcing the important information.  And lastly, give them specific guidance on what to do next.  Right now it is a long list of things to do, instead suggest they start by clearing the star chart and tell them how.  Also tell them where to go to find out the things they can do that they haven't done yet.
