I often think the "community" gets things wrong, blinded by greed, egoism and general navel-gazing. But concerning Gunnery 10 the community has got it exactly right, and what is surprising is that DE is reluctant to "get" this.

The community only wants everything easier and by default every company complies to make it always sellable. Can't label the community in quotes as if everyone in the community is greedy or egoistical unless inside the quotes, even if the origins of that problem is with the company only hearing them, only complying with them. In the end, the game still is being developed by a team and other algorithms running behind the paychecks. It makes sense that not everything is as we like.

What I don't get is when something is working just FINE or at least not causing any problem, and then it is removed. When we complain, ignore. That's confusing and disappointing.

Yet you still don't provide any tools for players (or even your own creative team who you've specifically said don't like them) to hide these distracting, outlandish, immersion-breaking cosmetics.

I thought I was the only one bothered by immersion braker things. I'm glad I'm not. I totally approve that. But I guess at this point immersion is the last thing to be worked on in Warframe. We're barely heard about the most complex problems, other things may be considered petty and very unrealistic to ever happen. Sometimes we get lucky and they hear us, but in the end the masses always wins.

    Thank you for the hotfix.

Please allow players to toggle host preferences in Railjack with "Host a squad" and "Join a hosted squad"

Thank you since you represent a lot of what I think about the matter and thanks for being the first to speak so quickly, it is a good and solid feedback I think the devs may consider and think about.

Please remove downsides from Intrinsics (looking at you Gunnery 10). The reasoning on the last Devstream is quite simply poor and disconnected from how these systems affect players.

I had to edit this because I pasted the wrong quote. I'm more worried about leveling the Plexus up. I agree with removing the downsides but there are other things bothering me. We still can't link the mod configuration of it on the chat and I wonder why exactly, it is one of these things.

I personally don't like the Plexus being a thing you can carry around other ships. That would be asking too much and it isn't all that bad. I just don't like the Plexus over avionics. I miss my ship complexity but being quicker and easier is more important apparently.

  4. Each 5 Railjack missions I do, 3 are bugged or glitched. Ranging from missing objectives to doors not opening. I understand how difficulty this is, but it seems like it was rushed. Not really necessary. I also understand the pandemic situation must be interfering, but I liked Railjack the way it was. I like the idea to connect the game to its many modes, but is this the real way to do it?

Add back the ship docking supply

1- I don't like that I can't reload my Railjack from the dock anymore. The option should be added back to there. The forge should also be more clear about the maximum limit and stop letting people waste resources for something that has been already fulfilled.

Let us host the mission when launching from inside

2- I keep saying that if you start a mission from inside your ship, you should remain inside your ship. Let us host the mission if by logic we're already inside our own ship. You should only drop inside someone else's ship if you click random missions outside your ship, or if naturally you don't have one.

The Plexus is easier, but ship's uniqueness is gone

3- The avionics matrix made the ship look like a real ship. I don't like the Plexus and how I can carry it around, but I think I can live with that because I admit it is faster to build up this way. I still don't like it, the cost of my favorite immersion is too high but it makes it more rewarding for newcomers and all. Just bear in mind that such thing came at the cost of my ship's identity, uniqueness. Kinda sad that it doesn't matter anymore.

Missions looks like Warframe, but not like its farming

4- I have never seen anyone trying to stay in a defense mission inside Railjack for more than 5 hordes. No one is trying to kill waves and waves of Orphyx either. Once the mission is done, everybody extracts. There are rules like jamming teleportation devices, so we're forced to go on foot to the exit. Well, this is a farming game with massive grinding. If you want people to stay there, the game and the space mode must become one thing - for real.

Warframe is sci-fi but still lacks more details about it

5- In regard to the space and things around the theme, DE made the planets texture and models looking much better. But I never saw the orbiter from the outside for example, and lore contradictions such as Earth with shining mega cities from the high orbiter. We thought it was half abandoned and filled with toxic giant woods. I honestly don't get where the lore is standing right now, if that even matters.

The integration between Railjack and the rest of the game will only look good when you guys finally get the Orbiter more attention and some proper place in all this. If they both could become only one thing that would help too. Example; Cy should interact with Lotus, because when he says ''Lotus on the line'' she replies with 5 years old dialogues that doesn't look like she even cares. I mean, the idea is great, but as for now, it feels like a game mode trying to look integrated. The integration is almost artificial, only trying to feel like it.

If the amazing devs really wants to make Warframe one big thing, the first step looks great but it has to be actual merging and that will take a lot of time. Can't pretend with just swapping mechanics and ditching Railjack's original concept (which was great and I used to love)

  5. I came to understand that when I click to go some mission inside my Railjack, I can end up on someone else's ship anyway, not because it was a bug but by design.

Now I wish the plex never happened. Or at least it could have the option for you to host your ship when you want to, actually it makes no sense to be inside my ship and end up on someone else's anyway. I can name my ship, I can pain it, I can skin it up in and out, but I can't choose to go with her unless I pre assemble a party.

I understand the plex is for better integration, but that little host thing should have been an option and this is bogging my fun down. Before this update Railjack had the feeling it was my own ship, a unique thing that needed special care. Now it feels like some archwing stored next door that doesn't really matter this much.

  6. The only problem here is a very, indecent super offensive slow download. 7gb that used to take minutes are now taking hours.
No work-around actually worked for me and I'm not in the mood to do space-magic to make it work, like summoning ancient demons or using Internet explorer.
I leave that to the hot-looking geniuses at DE.

  7. In the name of my entire clan I want to thank you all, it was about time the infested to have some further love from the artists, it only toke many years for them to be on the dojo. I'm really excited for decorations and drones, even with their cockroach-intelligence they're kinda cute. Now I can infest my entire dojo with it. If we're having more infested pustrels or something to place on the orbiter, that would be perfect eventually.

Congratulations for keeping it up even during global pandemic. Stay safe out there my people.

  8. I went back to WF to give the new update a try and see if other things got fixed.

My first experience was as bad as the other few that followed Scarlet's expansion, because I love my Railjack and it toke me a lot of time and investment to make it strong. Not being able to unleash it is just frustrating.

30 minutes on the space and we only received 4 kill-codes. We had to abort. My second and third time trying that mission was just as frustrating, including ground people abandoning the mission after 20 minutes or so, rendering the previous mission time useless.

Guys, this isn't working. The Earth mission is fun as hell, but we're only playing that. All the potential on the space is wasted away. Not fair. I suggest better balance or new rules. One thing that may help a lot is to store useless kill-codes from the Earth players with some sort of timing, or the squad being able to store it themselves. Maybe just 5 codes for space instead of 10.

Problem: severe lag seems to take too long to communicate between squads. Lots of com in the chat announcing courtesies but when in reality you're not receiving any. I also did receive 2 kill-codes some 5 minutes after aborting the mission.

I experienced a situation where the ground squads left the assault before the space squad (which I was part of) was able to complete the objective. This resulted in our squad just being stuck in space waiting for kill codes.

An option to extract, without abandoning the mission, after some time-period when no squads are transmitting kill codes. Instead of just having wasted that time.

My god 😮 that's even worse of what I have been experiencing. I wrote a large text explaining to DE over Reddit, I just hope they're aware it lacks balance. I don't want Dark Sector 2.

  10. First time trying Scarlet spear, only 5 kill codes came in a spam of 10 minutes. After half an hour we decided to abort.

Then we came back to the flotilla just to see this.

    20200330230250-1.jpg

A lot of people were on Earth and just a couple on the space. What sort of sorcery is messing with math?
And how I can see myself in the space ''receiving'' courtesies from people if I was already at the flotilla?

I think all this suffering comes from severe lag or something. But to be realistic, that update is dreaming way too high. You can't really be depending of others like this. Unless the rules could adapt somehow.

  11. Does Kuva siphon has a chance for not showing up at Ceres? Kuva flooding in there never spawns. If not, it is one of the oldest bug that has never been fixed. These kind of problems are getting tiresome. Not sure if its map related or just a matchmaking bug. You click to go to the alert but the game send you to normal mission on Ceres too.

  12. I'm very, very sad to see that classic self-damage that has been on action games since you were even born, has now totally been removed from Warframe. After 2 years and five thousand hours of devotion and love and care, I'm now considering to leave. That was the last enemy/mission/threat easing nerf I could take. I know I'm old news, I don't think DE need me. Already spent a lot in there.

It toke me a lot of time to learn how to use my Lenz and Javlok and other overpowered explosive guns like Bramma etc, and I could still die if any mistake were made. The threat tasted good. That mechanic was fun.

But now it just feels empty. Tasteless, insipid.

As I can predict people in favor of that coming to subtle attack me, cheer up, you guys won already. Enjoy your unstoppable indestructible onslaught.

you could have just said you don't know why they are removing it and are afraid of change. would have saved you a bunch of words

Agreeing with everything DE does with asinine comments isn't really supporting them nor the community, just so you know. It was more complex than that, so I'm sure not adapting my ways to please you.

I use him from time to time alongside Spira Prime. I find the chaos of trying to keep an eye on my buffs, enemy range and health while using a weapon that is slowly killing me most of the time, fun.

What sucks most is that they could've just created a mod (along with others) that removed self damage which you would install in the weapon's extra slot (I forget the name, I just don't use the slot).

What I have heard is that Cautious Shot will help you get less knock-downs... knocking is irritating but it isn't the same as the threat of self damage. It is really sad. Not even impact status will count if I'm correct. I suggested what you just said, maybe something new for the entirety of the exilus mods not just a single mod.

There is another thing, not related to Chroma but made me even more sad... hit-kill will also be removed. Reworked maybe. Even if the enemy has enough power to do it, he will have to take shields down first... regardless of his stats and yours. It is the end of classic bigger threats on Warframe coming soon.

Let's hope that DE is going to realise their mistake, before the update is done. Otherwise there will be enough salt for the rest of the year.

Which is a win win situation for me. I like salted chips.

Inaros would like to talk with you about this idea. He isn't happy that Loki get just a tenth of the damage he receives.

Me too exactly my thoughts. They usually listen to the community with care, but I'm afraid anything that makes it harder has the risk of getting ditched.

Lol they're removing self damage. Welp for me that means

I'll have one less issue with frost players

    But

It'll make Chroma less usefull for me and I'll the lose the risk/reward explosive weapons have of which I tend to avoid games without it.

I'm fully bored of Eidolon hunt but hey, I still use the dragon against the Orb. Luckily I don't need Kulstar in there.

Except that doesnt seem to be his case. His point is that every 9 out of 10 changes DE makes is to dumb down, trivialize and make an already easy game even easier.

I would never ''save words'' to please specific readers but ''dumbing down'' is a word I could have used on my original text lol
It is exactly what is happening on Warframe. When was the last time we got something buffed to hell instead of dumbed down the orbit in there?

  16. I could talk the problem at Eris where Kuva clouds are indistinguishable from red background or even the siphon's position, but that's gameplay you can work around and win. But when there is ''Ceres'' on alert, me and my clan mates immediately ignore it. Maybe it is a bug, maybe it is just us.

Ceres usually simply won't spawn the siphon sometimes no matter if you explore 100% of the map and entering on every room. I wonder if the siphon goes on places we can see on the map - not secret rooms - but with door that are locked by design.

As far I'm concerned, Kuva alerts aren't a matter of chance but actual spawning places. I wish we could have a fix on Ceres (not to be easier) but so it could at least spawn a siphon where we can actually walk on the navigable mesh.

  17. Edited: I'm glad people replied to me with good points, but I'm not here trying to please specific individuals or to annoy. This is something that can ultimately impact the gameplay, it is important. It is complex, the origins of it are too, so it requires words to express.

I'm 100% against self-damage being removed from the game but I won't ask the same as hundred others did already. At first it sounds logical. There is no friendly fire on a game like this except for when radiation kicks in, but you guys are not considering how ugly it will look. Talking about difficulty. I'm not a hard game lover trying to humiliate people, but I do love when the game tries to stop me.

But It just seems like I already have all the advantages over the enemies with overpowered guns and frames and incredible dumb enemy AI that has zero self-preservation instincts. As if it wasn't enough, Abitration got easier, Kuva Fortress challenge got easier, Liches got easier, everything is now easier and now the dangers of explosive weapons as well? Oh my...

I see the enemies trying to take cover behind shields and walls when I can just press 4 and kill the entire room. That's best example of how ugly it looks regardless of the effect it is causing. I'm not just asking a mono-dimensional wish like ''please don't remove the self-damage" I'm asking DE to improve self-damage instead. Do something else with "Cautious Shot" instead of knock downs , do broader effects or more mods for weapon's Exilus slot to contain self damage, something smart for that matter instead of just plucking it off. Anything like that would please everyone.

I think I would rather have something like other games that only a couple characters or guns can have it instead of a full removal of it.

It will ruin chroma's gameplay on eidolon hunt.

It is great for casual gameplay.

    Do you like it?

    discuss...

That made it look like the problem is so mono-dimensional, when It will ruin difficulty too, it will ruin the challenge (the little we have left) it will ruin the logic of overpowered explosive weapons. That's multidimensional problem.

  19. My Kuva Zevokk shows off the emblem incorrectly. Other animation positions and other frames still has the same bug.
This has been like that since Kuva came out, (I had a full reinstall of the game during that time period) but when I put it on, the problem still is the same.
(outta topic, the railjack's name problem I posted previously has been fixed)
