  1. Does this mean Rage/Hunter's Adrenaline will no longer work while channeling an ability? If so, I'm just going to have to stop playing Oberon altogether. I love his aesthetic and I've been playing him a lot (still my most played frame) until recently, but if this change doesn't allow him to generate any energy with those mods his energy economy is just too bad to continue using. He's been in rough shape for a while but this would be the last nail in the coffin.

Completely understand, in hindsight that probably wasn’t a good request anyway. I am curious though, how much does it weigh? When they showed it during tenncon it was massive. Unless of course I’m confusing it with another book.

    Around 14 pounds

Scammed her out of her lore, and dissed her from the pages smh

Double checked and actually found a sketch of her on the same page as Hydroid (giving myself a nasty paper cut in the process handle this thing carefully jeez)

Hello! Please can you take a photo of the Hydroid 🌊 page, I want to see what the artists drew there.

While you’re at it, could you also snap a photo of the Garuda page? Would love to see the concepts

There are not really specific pages per Warframe. The book is divided into Dark Sector, Warframe as a whole, different factions, the open worlds, the newer quest lines, and a general gallery of stuff like K-Drive Scrawls and other similar artwork. I did not see anything for Garuda, it's a pretty large book and I'm a bit busy, so it's possible I just overlooked it. I saw a single sketch of Hydroid's default skin.

I do not really feel comfortable fulfilling these requests, even if I could find what you wanted. That feels like reproducing the artbook for you guys, and I don't think that would be allowed, and it was not my intention with this topic. I had opened it to a random early page to capture the experience of the lectern, not to show off those specific pages. I apologize.

  4. I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, seeing as it's not exactly fan art that I made or anything of that nature, but I wanted to share this story and a few photos of my crazy little purchase here.

Backstory: I am a huge sucker for art books. If a special edition of a game has one, I want that special edition. If one is printed separately for a game or anime, I want to purchase it, including imports from Japan and the like. So when Tennocon rolled around and I popped my head into the store and saw an art book, I put it in my shopping cart and purchased it without any hesitation.

It wasn't until I was watching the stream and watched the folks on stage heft it around that I realized I had a problem. I don't live in a small apartment by any means, but it's still an apartment; space is at a bit of a premium and I realized none of my bookshelves could handle this beast, and it's life would be short lived if it had to live on my relatively small coffee table. When it arrived in the mail, my concerns solidified. I tested it on one bookshelf that looked like it might work, but I immediately changed my mind when I saw the whole thing lean in response.

It then occurred to me: a lectern! Of course. If I could find a spot that was somewhat elevated I could safely display the book, and people could enjoy looking at it without hefting it. People have lecterns for cookbooks, bibles, and dictionaries, why shouldn't I get one for an art book?

Well, that's where reality set in. Artbooks are unusually wide in terms of dimensions. Almost every lectern I looked at was either half the size I need, or some ungodly expensive piece of furniture which was still the wrong size. My search results returned one that would be the right size, although honestly I have no idea how it turned up in a search for lecterns, as it was, in fact, a portable computer cabinet, probably designed for a school setting.

Enter the Etsy shop PastorDearWoodcraft. I saw they had a very cute design for a lectern that wasn't quite the right size, but they did have a note in their description of the item to reach out and talk to them about custom orders. I described my dilemma in detail, including the enormous 17.5x12x2 inch dimensions and the 14 pounds of mass it would need to support, and they very quickly said that it was no problem, and that they could make it for me.

It was a great process and it has finally arrived today. I have set it up atop my dresser in my bedroom, as that is currently the best place for it, but when I achieve my goal of personal home ownership, this will be upgraded to a place of honor in whatever gaming den I put together. I want to thank the folks who made such an amazing art book, and once again shout out PastorDearWoodcraft for making this whole thing possible. I hope you folks get a kick out of this!

Changed the description of Galvanized Aptitude to better reflect its current function (which clarifies that area of effect damage is not included)

    • ... BUT WAIT! We want to explain why because it’s very important to us that everyone understands where we are coming from with our current design mindset. AoE Weapons are the dominant ones by every usage metric. We see this day after day. Having this bonus apply to the AoE instance felt dangerously close to a myopic choice concerning powering up player Arsenals that simply do not need it. This mod never worked on AoE, and the description now explains that to avoid confusion. We understand those seeking a different outcome will disagree with this choice, but ultimately we are not willing to further bolster AoE at this time. This is due to the increasing difficulty in creating content that serves to challenge the Tenno.

    No no no no no.

You've had *four months* to clarify this position. You let the community believe it was a bug and that it was unintentional for this long, explaining it now as intentional does not absolve you from anger and frustration regarding this fact. Players could have invested several forma expecting this to work. At this point the explanation rings hollow.

  6. Kinda sad to be reminded this thread that I opened 4 and almost a half years ago has not been addressed.

DE, Crossplay is going to vastly increase the number of multiplayer games by ensuring matches. I would not be surprised if we don't see Index Bots basically ever again. But more games also mean more Host Migrations. Even worse, it means Host Migrations between machines with wildly different standards and specs, between High End PCs and Switches and Phones that will burn out their battery on Warframe in an instant.

Host Migration, as a whole, will need serious work. Please address it before it gets to be a true nightmare.

  7. Adding to this one instead of making my own topic. I had purchased the Citadella Prime Syandana specifically because I thought it'd be neat to have an effect like having cryogenic gases blasting out from my Frost, but I've discovered, in addition to the above, in which the Citadella Prime Syandana does not respond to having a Melee Combo multiplier in any way (The pentagon in the back does not spin faster, the particle effect does not intensify), the Energy Color on the Syandana is bugged as well. If you sit down at navigation or have the Syandana on an articula (pictured below), it will pump out the steam/smoke what have you in the energy color you have selected. However, also pictured below, anywhere else it comes through as a super transparent wisp of particles that can barely be seen. The Melee combo effect was tested with Edo Leg Plates for comparison both in Star Chart missions and in open worlds. The Energy Color has not worked anywhere other than on Articulas or in Navigation, strangely.

Deeply disappointing, hope a fix comes soon. Was considering getting Tagris the next time it rolls around to continue accentuating the effect, hopefully both will be fixed by then.

  8. I will confess I had forgotten about turning off enemy auras, but I feel like that emphasizes my experience even more. It did not really seem to matter that my enemy's auras were off if I was still knee deep in chargers that still decided Nyx was more tasty than their former companions. The problem is that the CC effect is so light I often cannot notice it.

To clarify, my feeling is not that Chaos needs replaced or completely reworked, but without some kind of notable change that interacts with Chaos, Nyx may not notably improve.

  9. Hey guys, long time player, but this is my first non-bug report thread on the boards that I can remember. I have played for about a year now, and as of the past week I have completed gaining mastery for all existing Warframes, primed or not, available to non-founders.

Let me start by saying I really appreciate the acknowledgement that Nyx needs retooled, especially since Vlad's very cool thrall system completely eclipses her capabilities outside of her 4.

However, I am deeply concerned that the problem has been misdiagnosed.

Nyx is a caster Warframe, focused on psychic power and the mind. It makes sense that her abilities should primarily beguile her opponents more than dealing damage to them. The problem is that none of her abilities actually do that.

Its a harsh assessment to be sure but I feel its not inaccurate. I have played every Warframe in the game and in my personal experience, I wanted to be done playing Nyx as soon as possible to get back to more fun frames. I was running entire missions casting pretty much nothing because her abilities did not feel impactful. To elaborate:

Nyx's passive applies a chance to disarm enemies when affected by her skills. This passive is a tad underwhelming but compared to some other Warframes it actually isn't on the worse end. It adjusts the behavior of enemies slightly. It can stay or go, I don't think this is a problematic part of her set.

Nyx's 1, Mind Control, is probably the closest to fantasy fulfilling as far as her abilities go. You target an enemy, you gain them as an ally for the duration, they absorb damage they've taken and take it all at the end. The problem? An enemy. This is a horde shooter. Yes, more often than not enemies will redirect their fire to their former comrade but single target abilities have a hard time shining in this game. I worry it will be difficult to make this ability stand out no matter how you buff the controlled minion. I have had the most success with this ability mind controlling a Bursa, striking at its back, having it weaken my foes, and when I've estimated that I've dealt enough damage, end the ability and then hack the bursa.

Oh, yeah, how many of you readers know you can end Mind Control early? I can tell you I found out by accident, and I've had waves of defense go long because a Nyx did not drop it, probably because they didn't know they could. So, regardless of any other changes, Mind Control really needs some QoL upgrades. Something as simple as a tooltip that tells players that recasting their 1 drops it, like the tip that tells Frost that 1 pops the bubble, could help people enjoy Nyx a lot. In addition, it'd be really nice to see the % health your minion has for after you remove Mind Control (For my Bursa example, lets say it's taken some damage. I cast Mind Control, and a little UI buff pops up that says 77%. The Bursa's Health does not deplete as I maul it, but the % ticks down to 0%. Now I know I can release Mind Control at any time to kill my minion.)

Psychic Bolts is not a strong ability, as I'm sure we are all aware. Its removal will probably be a non-controversial change. That being said, Psychic Bolts with the Pacifying Bolts augment has been significantly more useful to me than Chaos. This isn't saying Psychic Bolts is good. This is saying, in my experience, Chaos doesn't do anything.

Literally, 100% of the effect of Chaos is it turns off the AI's friendly fire protections and its ability to distinguish friend or foe. It does not protect Nyx and her team. It does not ensure faster deaths to enemies. I cannot emphasize how poor my experience with Chaos has been sufficiently. It is a Warframe ability that doesn't guarantee any effect at all. Pacifying Bolts may not be great but the targets are stunned. Radiation Procs apply an accuracy malice. Chaos makes Nyx do an animation to watch those enemies maybe switch to infighting, or they continue pumping bullets into Nyx's not at all hardy flesh. I understand that Chaos is an iconic ability for Nyx, but without help, Vlad's Thrall collection is vastly superior. This ability needs to do something every time its cast, and in my experience, it does not.

Absorb has a very different problem. Unlike the other 3 (2 if you want to be generous to Mind Control), Absorb is an ability that can do some work. It borderline requires Assimilate to do anything well, and its boring without it because you can't move, but its understandable that you don't want an invincible bullet sponge of massive proportions moving around. No, the problem with Absorb is that its completely out of left field and has no connection to the rest of the kit or flavor of the Warframe. You meditate off the damage and send it back, okay, but why is it the psychic mind control frame doing this? Unfortunately, I think that this problem is here to stay. Nyx has had Absorb forever, and players have grown used to it being part of Nyx's identity. A newer player friend of mine has pointed out that much like Banshee, the channeling an ability in one place while immobile until you invest a lot of resources in gaining standing in a Syndicate is not very engaging from a gameplay standpoint, however, so that would probably be the point to address.

I would also like to point out none of the existing abilities have any synergy.
This is not strictly a requirement for Warframe abilities, however it can add depth and power to a frame that can be satisfying to delve into. This is mostly a thought that should be considered when designing her new 3.

The short version is this: In my experience, Chaos is the problem child ability for Nyx. Without fixing Chaos, she will not feel satisfying. It needs to be at least better than Pacifying Bolts. Mind Control and Absorb both need quality of life fixes at minimum.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope that this feedback is both clear and insightful. I hope that if I play Nyx again in the future, I will enjoy the experience.

    Edit:
To clarify, my feeling is not that Chaos needs replaced or completely reworked, but without some kind of notable change that interacts with Chaos, Nyx may not notably improve.

  10. Host migration in the Index between rounds causes players to be stuck looking at the score board before the match, as the enemies move freely and kill players. Attempted to kill and restart warframe in order to reconnect to see if the issue was resolved, unfortunately this just seems to have made the match disappear, along with my index investment. Outdoor map, if relevant.

  11. UPDATE: Further play has shown to me that while it is still true that Helios will make no attempt to scan Angst, I actually can scan her with my Synthesis Scanner. However, due to her not glowing as a scannable object, it was difficult to tell if I was scanning her or another object. The scan feedback was just so miniscule I could not tell. So, if this thread needs closed/moved to feedback or something, it is actually possible to manually scan Angst if you try really hard.

ORIGINAL POST: Unless I am mistaken, I'm supposed to be able to scan Acolytes, as per the linked hotfix, but attempts made manually and via my Helios on Angst have not registered. This is not a general scanning bug, as my Helios and I have been more than capable of scanning the new ghoul enemies.

Hey guys, first feedback post, been playing a couple months. Was really excited for Day of the Dead, as I had been looking to get the Silva and Aegis skin because I really wanted to turn Silva and Aegis Prime back into a plasma sword and shield, rather than the mace (Which has its own animation issues that I have trouble with but thats not the point of this.) However, its my presumption that because Silva and Aegis Prime has a longer handle than Silva and Aegis, the Sugatras end up floating in space. I switched them out to see if it would be corrected to no avail, seeing some sugatras get closer but none of them not floating. Its really a shame, since Pyra has the same kinda look as Silva and Aegis and would look great on it. Obviously not high priority, what with Plains just coming out and all, but I figured I'd point it out since I just bought Skin Pack 4 and this was very disappointing.
