I think this new feature is best way to nerf Tonkor and Simulor.
if AoE weapons trigger the weakpoints, it's a nerf to anything not AoE lol

I guess the most relevant part was that they'll hopefully be smart and never do such an absurdly high resource cost again.
ftfy
realistically they probably will, when all of the hurrah from this has died down.

Whats the downside?
you have to use a mod slot for it; aka the downside to any augment mod

Better services exist outside of the game.

Our mobility renders any sort of AI null and ineffective. A moving phalanx is simply a bigger target and a lot more kills with less bullets, especially if you have punch through or an explosive weapon.
Furthermore, I've seen shield lancers actually form up into rows with grineer grunts behind them, so we do have the AI. The problem is it didn't matter because I bullet jumped over the lancers and took out the backline.
This; the only thing it would add is visual fluff. Tenno are too OP for any sort of enemy formation to matter; and nerfing the player to make formations work is not worth it I think.

I'd prefer a better looking LMG and/or HMG tbh

Your supposed to block with flat of the blade not the edge. Majority of European swords of the same Era are stronger just not as sharp.
this, unfortunately I don't think that the mechanics of warframe would really support a "proper" kamae do to the mobility and speed of the game (mostly the aerial stuff), but a pseudo kamae focusing on overhead cuts and forward momentum and maybe even some pseudo fumikomi like stomp combo would be pretty cool.

Let's see. They changed the movement system, they added more weapons and Archwings, they added more game modes. It's certainly better than on release.
and how long did it take them?
His comment is fair given past history, blind optimism is just as bad as a negative attitude as it masks construtive criticism.

the invuln from hysteria is not needed hat is true; but even with knock back resistance you're really just gonna be a walking stunner/armor buffer primarily. Excal is better for wanting to do damage with a ability based weapon (hence why he is less tanky) and if anything Valk should get some sort of taunt cause she'd be much better as a buffer/cc frame.

everyone complaining about endo when the real dealbreaker is le hobbled dragon key scanning riven mods /sarcasm

Not worth the developer's time; there are better alternatives and it would be far too expensive (in terms of time, money and security) of a project to embark on.

It's a feature :^)

It's a good thing that end game is afk in relay then XD/s

muh dmg increase tho

It's neat to see the operator "growing up" tbh, and it expands the possible directions that the devs can take the game story wise as well.
-
The quest itself was a fresh enough experience to be enjoyable, my question is where do we go from here. With the operator now a standalone platform will we see the ability to upgrade our operator via focus (i.e. not just the main skill from TSD)? Operator focused missions? etc.
-
Going along with the transference the operator can probably use a swathe of warframes or transference sensitive things in general.
On an unrelated note: anyone else noticed that between TSD and TWW the operator is basically going through an angsty teen phase/growing up (Which I think is kind of neat if they continue with that theme, open's up some neat possibilities.)

Perhaps they have reasons for not wanting to make it innate on frames, they really don't have to explain every choice. It isn't about not listening, its about which feedback they can act on and still maintain the type of game they want.
If they want to explain why they can, feel free to ask but its just annoying that because they don't do precisely what people want its because "they don't listen well". That's just insulting.
He's not wrong though, As the rest of his post (which you conveniently left out) states, in an action game, halting or implementing something that breaks the flow of the game is counter-intuitive and bad game design.
It should have been a passive on all frames from the start. Given the amount of focus DE has put towards gameflow
-
The better question would be why wasn't it implemented as a personal loot vacuum on the warframe itself at the beginning of the game?
Imagine if you had to manually pick up each patch of gold in Diablo 3 (i.e. no gold pickup radius) unless you had X armor equipped?
It's "kind of" the same concept really, just poor initial design.
why is "bullet sponges" so hated?

Just because they haven't found an elegant solution for it doesn't stop it from being a terrible mechanic in general.
