  1. How do you have your Excalibur modded? Seems like your build is incomplete if Radial Blind is taking all your energy.

I would like to use radial blind with exalted blade but blind alone just burns all the energy and nothing to power exalted blade. So I'm left with using one which seems counterproductive unfortunately.

  2. Sounds like you’re on the Corpus ship level and getting stuck with the Sentients. Well you at least do have the advantage of using Excalibur as you said above.

Excalibur is THE sentient killer. Basically combo his Exalted Blade with his Radial Blind. If you’re not using Chromatic Blade then build exalted blade with damage and attack speed mods and have one slot for Shattering Impact. If you are using Chromatic Blade then build for corrosive and maybe add heat or cold between your energy color and mods, still of course having your damage and attack speed mods in. Either way when fighting a Sentients it’s as simple as Blind and then just spam your melee attack with Exalted Blade at the Sentients, they die really fast.

  3. The mods I have in all my Ivara builds are Fleeting Expertise, Streamline, and Primed Flow then I flex the rest around the purpose of the build. My prowl build then has Infiltrate and then range and duration to speed up the loot stealing and the range of the steal. I have a higher strength build I use for Artemis Bow that tanks my range a little. Then I have a high duration, high range build for cloak arrows that I sometimes use. My go to primary weapon on my Ivara is the Baza, it just works so well with her.

  5. 2: Another option in addition to prime parts/sets is farming arcanes from Eidolons and rare mods from the void/spy missions/derelict vault and sell those.

3: Excalibur is THE sentient killer even without help from the operator. Basically combo his Exalted Blade with his Radial Blind. The other questions have been answered by previous replies.

  6. The quest is certainly doable without an amp and/or focused up operator and/or operator arcanes though it will take longer and will require lots of dashing and sniping pot shots for the operator portions...or just dying a lot as the operator. That being said it is a much smoother playthrough with a focused up operator with operator archanes and a decent amp.

No matter what the basic strategy is to use your void beam/amp to drop his shields then once his shi los are gone dash up close and spam void blast until he’s stunned then you can use transference.

    Eidolons gives good focus affinity?How?

By capturing Eidolons you’ll get Brilliant Eidolon Shards and Radiant Eidolon Shards in the loot (Radiant come from capturing Gant and Hydro). From a Tridalon capture (Capturing all 3 Eidolons) you’ll get 3 Radiant Shards and 3-4 Brilliant Shards. Radiant shards can be converted to 40k focus each and Brilliant shards convert to 25k focus each so each tridalon capture will get you 195k-220k focus. A decent eidolon hunting group can do 3-4 tridalon captures in a night cycle thus getting 585k-880k focus per night cycle from the Shards. Keep in mind that to unbind a waybound passive requires a million focus and a Brilliant Eidolon Shard when you get to that point.

Regular tridalon captures during my play sessions has allowed me to max my operator in a few months with all 10 waybound passive nodes unbound and all of the nodes i thought useful in each school at max rank.

You’ll want to make sure you’re properly geared for hunts and have at least the first tier amp (first buildable amp from quills rep as the mote amp is fairly useless) if you want to start tridalon hunting.

  8. With the riven you have as is and your posted build I’d recommend take out hammer shot and put in Hellfire, Stormbringer, and Vigilante Armaments. Optimizing for Eidolons will take some more forma weather you use your Rubico or Lanka. For your Rubico it looks like the build will need 3 more Forma ( V and 2 - ) and make sure all mods are maxed.

I also agree with the suggestion above to keep rolling your riven and aiming for crit chance, crit damage, and damage.

  9. Here’s what I use with my Volt for Eidolons hunting. To one shot limbs I’m usually using Void Strike Charges from Madurai and shooting through Volt Shield stacks.

Serration, Point Strike, Vital Sense, Stormbringer, Hellfire, Split Chamber, Vile Acceleration, Vigilante Armaments

i have found that the faster charge to shoot time with Vile Acceleration is far more useful than something like Hammer Shot. The -damage on Vile Acceleration doesn’t really affect the outcome much. Another alternative would be Vigilante Fervor for the additional chance to upgrade crit hits with the set bonus or just  Speed Trigger. If/when you get a riven it would replace either Vigilante Armaments or Vile Acceleration depending on what roll you end up with.

  10. Yes you want to stack crit and radiation.

Without a riven I’d suggest something like:

Serration, Split Chamber, Hellfire, Stormbringer, Point Strike, Vital Sense, Vigilante Armaments, last slot is a bit flexible another Vigilante mod would increase the set bonus for enhancing crits so Vigilante Offense or Vigilante Supplies are possible choices though Critical Delay is also really good here. If/when you get a riven that would go in this last slot.

  11. All of the Eidolons are status immune so bringing a status weapon to the hunt is fairly useless even when you mod for radiation. The reason the Lanka dominates Eidolon Hunts is because it can be built for high crit pure radiation damage so it’s damage table isn’t polluted with other types. As for alternatives I have seen some people have some success with the Arca Plasmor built for crit and the Buzlock with a good riven and built for crit and radiation  (use secondary to tag limbs and head and fire away). That being said they still fall short when compared to snipers as the Rubico and Vectis built for radiation and crit will still outperform these alternatives and even they fall short compared to the Lanka though good rivers can much more easily make up that difference. Also some players perform better with the hitscan on the Rubico and Vectis so they do better with them than the Lanka. The main key is the weapon needs to be high crit chance high crit damage and be as close to pure radiation damage as possible, even without armor stripping this will do the job (armor stripping to ~10% left does make it faster though).

The Tigris Prime is a status shotgun, the best in the game according to most, but it’s useless for Eidolons for that very reason.

  12. Why bring Zephyr for an Eidolon hunt?

I’ve been in groups with no corrosive projections (I usually bring Volt with dead eye) and we’ve done fine, granted it’s not minmaxing for 4+ tridolons in a night but it went well enough. Proper armor stripping does make the fights go faster though.
