  1. I would love to see reload get reduced on the Sobek but really it's not in a bad spot. The Boar Prime has a reload of 2.8s with a mag size of 20, Strun Wraith has a 5s with a mag size of only 10. The Vaykor Hek has a reload of 2.3 with a 8 round mag size. Honestly for the damage with Acid Shells and Chilling Reload I personally think it's in a decent spot considering other options.

  2. The main reason people take Chroma is, like others have said, it can one shot the weak points with Vex Armor and self damage with a sniper. It's really not an exploit since that's the whole point of Vex Armor. Even on the live stream they had a Chomra one shotting weak points. There's other ways of doing it but this has been the "most efficient". The other person I run with is a Chroma and I run Trinity and we can easily get 6 Teralysts down in a night cycle.

The reason you weren't doing damage was either the shield was still up or you weren't targeting the weak points on him. Either way, here's a run down of the fight for future encounters.

First thing is, you need two charged Eidolon Lures (so you capture him instead of killing him, you'll get more rewards this way) so he doesn't teleport away between weak spot breaks. They are charged by killing vomvalysts, either beside the lure or bring the charge they drop to the lure.

In Operator, attack him until his shield breaks. Once his shield is down, you attack at these points. These four points are the only thing that will damage him until the final phase.

The best way to take down the weak points is the two on the legs first and then the two on the arms. (At least that's from personal experience.)

When he does go down, either run away to 70 meters or in operator, go into the void (crouch). Don't forget to keep the lures close enough to him so he doesn't teleport away. You'll do this three times.

After the fourth weak spot break, he'll go into "Vomvalyst Phase" in which vomvalysts will try and heal the Teralyst, just kill off any remaining that's around him.

After he gets up after the last phase is when you can go all out, you can hit him anywhere to do damage but his head is the best spot.

  3. While I believe the GotL do deserve something to make them stand out with the time put into it, something exclusive like this isn't the answer. The purple text should be enough (but to differentiate actual [DE] from Guides.) What LOTSL has said is really on point with new players. They aren't going to know about Relays until MR3, while not hard to obtain, unlocks the Syndicate console in the ship and they start learning more about that. Those few MR will either make or break a new player just getting into the game. While some people like not having their hands held and want more of a learning experience, others want/need that information early so they can progress at a quicker pace. In most cases they don't, and honestly shouldn't, have to resort going to a wiki or any other forms outside the game in these early stages. This is where the Guides come in but then you still have the issue of, is a new player going to try and go to chat to find out or actually go to a wiki or other site for information.

Personally, I think there needs to be some type of early interaction, whether it's a tutorial screen explaining the Guides or a MR0-5 only channel that the Guides can patrol and answer any questions if the need arises. SharkPot has an excellent alternative to this, some type of over-head and chat emblem that shows you're a Guide and are wanting to help while also being toggle able for personal play time.

There just needs to be something better than an exclusive item given to a select few that most new players will never see. Just look at what happened with "Founders", it's a great example. I didn't pay to have an "exclusive" item, I wanted to support a game I enjoyed playing. I never knew it was going to be "exclusive". I personally think it should of been a "Prime Access" just like any other that came after it and should be available to all. This goes with Excalibur Umbra, it *was* going to be a "Founders exclusive" but yet they are releasing it globally.

I'm sorry if this sounds entitled, while that's not my meaning, I had to say this. Guides are great, don't get me wrong, but there just needs to be more of a "tutorial" if you will in the beginning to explain that there are Guides and they are willing to help. Having a special item (while a good reward for putting in your personal time) is the wrong way to go.
