    I personally like the second option the most. Seems to make sense and keep it in line while also maintaining the fun of it. 

    Rebecca already said about this on devshort?: IF they remove LoS they need to reduce the range, because it's the skill with largest range.

    This is normal, everyone is giving constructive ideas: asking them to remove LoS. But they don't do it, it has been over a week.

    There are no possible solutions man, this is the only solution: remove LoS. There's no improvement that them could do to LoS that make it more fun and enjoyable than before. That's the point

  3. After a few seconds the companion stops casting skills, you can hear them casting (so they are trying to cast something) but no animation or damage are done by them.

     

    U can replicate this using Diriga in simulacrum with Arc Coil and Calculated Shot:

    No one is complaining about damage man, the LoS changes don't change damage. 

    This gif is a good example of LoS problem, you can't mod for range to him because he is in a tiny space, so his 3-3-4 won't be hitting anothing other than what's in the hole with him (before it wasn't like that, it worked like any mage skill, like volt 4). And Dante is blocking his vision, so he can't hit the enemies that are close to Dante's left. You can mod for damage, range... but you can't mod for LoS, it's a awful change.

    Pls no, DE don't do this. Just remove the LoS without arguments.

    Arguments should give us new gameplay or QoL, we shouldn't give up one mod slot to fix a bug (like Nidus larva) or because a nerf.

  6. Warframe it's a game with beautiful maps, and there are furnitures, walls, stairs, and props everywhere and all of these can block our vision. In many places we have tiny rooms, with a lot of doors, floors, stairs or trees... if I put range on dante I can't really benefit from that because in many maps there's always something in my front. The game is fluid and with a lot of movement, and players can get in front of you randomly, and we need to move the camera to check marks, players, points and side objectives.

    LoS is awful, and for a mage/caster it's even worse. Those LoS fixes definitely improve a little but the problem stays there, even Dante can block or LoS and let enemies free from our sight. It's so awful.

    Even you didn't know exactly what was "wrong" with Dante (Rebecca said that on devshort). And that she needed our feedback to try to understand what DE needs to do. But everything went too fast, you nerfed it shortly after launch. In a short time, u tried to fix the LoS problems due to pressure, but it ended up leaving a lot of rough edges and even if u fix it 100% it will still be bad/awful gameplay.

    Now that the initial problem will be corrected (what the community was complaining about in the beginning, before the nerfs) and it will be possible to play with Dante and at the same time enjoy gameplay in which he needs to take damage in life (nidus, chroma, rage/hunter adrenaline and some others) he will no longer be disruptive to others. One of your pillars, which was touch by Dante will be protected again. 

    Now there is no longer any point in keeping LoS on Dante, please remove it.

    Now that you have found the best possible solution to Dante's problem and he will no longer disturb other people's games with his overguard (which was the majority of complaints, which was disturbing builds) and that his overguard has received a nerf Also (some were thinking the numbers were high) can we roll back his LoS?

    After all, LoS wasn't part of people's feedback, and Tragedy wasn't one of the complaints. You found a nice solution to the main and most frequently mentioned problem. Now you can respond to the huge feedback you received about introducing LoS in it, right? Can you remove it?

  8. I understand your point, but if they are really keeping an eye on people's feedback they will see that the changes just didn't meet people's requests and so they will roll back the LoS.

    They're going to have to change a lot of things to do what you said, and for what? So many warframes have nuke abilities without LoS restrictions, why exactly does Dante need one? Maybe they misunderstood the feedback and thus didn't understand why Dante can be disruptive to others (for builds that needed health, which the overguard sucks). If they understand this the problem will be solved

    The overwhelming majority of complaints were about his overguard. Why all these changes?

    Honestly, most of the changes don't seem that bad... except the LoS change on Tragedy.

    LoS isn't a good state, it never worked properly in warframe.

    Since the launch of Nidus, its larva continues to catch mobs after the wall, the larva gets stuck and we are unable to cast it again. There is even an argument to fix this bug by allowing the larva to be disabled (look at the point we've reached, we need to spend 1 mod space to fix the bug, DE simply signed that they can't solve problems with line of sight)

    EXACTLY! Why?!

    Whoever was complaining was only complaining about the overguard. I didn't see anyone talking about the damage, if there were people it was a minority. 

    Then they go there and nerf the range! There's a video on reddit of him using tragedy and it's horrible, It's sucks. Give me back my forma and platinum.

    Go on, create another Caliban... I'm not even hyped for Tennocon anymore, I think I'll go back to other games like I was before the new update.

    I agree 100%. I've never had power issues with the revenant. When the mission was very difficult and I needed to keep recasting, energy was not a problem. And depending on the mission and my movement, I end up not needing to use 2 again for the entire mission. Even the archon missions I use once and forget about. Sometimes I use it again just because it's very quiet and there's nothing for me to click on (like waiting for the squad).

    If we consider this, any warframe that needs a specific journey towards the end of the game is pay 2 win. This is progression, some things are stopped by mastery and others by journey. And again, If you consider this as P2W then the ENTIRE warframe is P2W. Because everything in the game is weak and bad, you need a mod to make it strong and Endo tends to be the enemy of the overwhelming majority of newcomers (perhaps for everyone). So the only way to really crush everything with strong things is to somehow get platinum to buy the already fortified mods, especially the primes! Which not only need horrendous amounts of endo but are locked by date, you have to wait for the rotation which can take a year.

    Dante can be easily replaced by frames as a revenant for various missions + a weapon that doesn't need much form. If several warframes are capable of doing this, it's not exactly something blocked by money that you need Dante to do. Although using other warframes can be even more beneficial, a Wukong is incredibly better for several missions.
