  1. As for the ultimate, it sounds like it would be hell to implement. I'd say change it to a ranged targeted AoE like Bullet Attractor, but with the range of Vauban's Vortex. But here's the hook, it's called Petrify; it knocks down and slowly solidifies the targets over 15 seconds (Power Duration increases petrification speed.) This ability should cause the targets to shatter when killed.

    Needless to say, when enemies shatter they explode violently sending bits of stone everywhere doing additional damage to enemies hit. :D

  2. Spears and lances sound like a good way to have a melee weapon with high piercing damage, which this game is sorely in need of, though personally I think spears would better fit the aesthetic since you don't usually see lances depicted being used by much other than on horseback; Hammer with knockback sounds nice, if we don't have one of those already; and mace... actually, why not? Might be interesting as a high blunt-puncture weapon. Overall these ideas are nice, the question remaining is which one fills the best niche in game-WAIT WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN SUBMIT AN IDEA?

     ahaha thanks for the feedback! Don't you know that there's a weapon design thing going on and top 3 get added to game? Each contestant is allowed only one submission so im asking my fellow Tenno to aid me.

  3. I'll always be partial to lances, mainly because they look awesome.

     

    For me, I like Kain Highwind's spears from Dissidia (Not a fan of the Orthos look)

    If the charge attack lets me throw the lance and have it reappear in my hand (like in Dissidia) I'll be the happiest player alive

     

     

    xD I was thinking of making the spear or lance throwable (charge), though the animation would most likely have to be long to make sense, maybe have a wire attached to the handle similar to that of the scorpions?

  4. Okay, so i have a few ideas of what i want to submit. Unfortunately, i can only submit one idea so i ask you Tenno out there to help me decide which to submit.

     

    First off is a spear-type weapon, i decided that if i were to make this the blade part of the spear would be longer, more or less as long as the handle itself (so it looks like a cross between a sword and a spear)

     

    Second is a lance type weapon, considering how the upcoming paladin frame is coming, the tip is going to be blunt and has an explosion animation similar to the Obex upon strike, charge attack is a leaping plung ethat does a much larger AOE on contact. Grineer Lance

     

    Third is a hammer inspired by "Thor". I want to make it so that enemies go flying on charge attack. Probably going to have a short handle with enough room for one, maybe two hands. (Maybe an AK version? :O A double overhead ground pound would be really nice to finish off an enemy lying on the ground)

     

    Fourth is a mace, again because of the Paladin Frame coming up, and i find myself obsessed with Holy knights wielding blunt weapons for smiting. xD

     

    Almost forgot to add dual tonfas, been wanting to design one for awhile

     

    So, these are the ideas i have so far, going to try and make some quick sketches on general looks and post them ASAP.

  5. If DE didn't think land sentinels would work, I don't think they would be able do what you suggest. Linking the robots to the dojo seems completly unneccessary besides perhaps getting a blueprint from one of the labs. I do, however like the idea of something like Zanuka or otherwise unusable sentinels roaming the dojo as clan pets.

     

    I, too agree. Maybe there could be some event or mission where Lotus detects some strange distress beacon in an Orokin Ruin and the reward is a pet (could be blueprint, could not). This pet could come with you on mission as an accessory, clinging to your shoulder or something and when in the dojo, your pet could be found and customized using some clan thing. the pet could be a small project the orokin were working on before they died/disappeared so it looks warframe-ish.

  6. Hmmmm, but what if the Corpus find out SOME secrets of the Tenno and sell this info to Grineer, thus allowing both to create Warframe prototypes.

    As mentioned by Hawner, this could be an event where you are sent to stop this work from progressing to the point where it's too late, with the result being some Corpus/Grineer modifications becoming available (since you stole their info :D)

     

    Just a thought.

     

     

     

    EDIT: With the Zanuka project near completion (or is it already completed?), Alad V should have enough intel from researching Warframes to be capable of making them, AND if Warframes are a by product of Technocyte mutations, I'm pretty sure Corpus would be greedy enough to isolate Technocyte virus (if it still exists) and run tests to see if they can make a Warframe.

IMO the skills seem refreshingly different from other frames, I also agree that he sounds rather overpowered, like if you use his first skill, then his second skill on those knocked down, you could either use the 4th skill or save it for later, plus by using Shield Siphon the enemies are left with less defenses blocking the ultimate.

  8. HOLY S#&$. I would love if most of these things were added into the game, some great work you've done here OP. Better PVP, more clan additions, possibility of buying mats and BPs... :D

     

    Anyways, the Design Council, never heard of it until i read somewhere that they voted on upcoming weapons. Considering what Vsuchinoko said, i feel like the Design Council are just people who spend alot of money on the game, sure they support the development but they probably can't come up with good ideas that would benefit the game like yours does OP.

     

    I dont know much about the Design Council, anyone mind pointing me in the right direction as to where i could find info about it?

  9. Well then, i must admit i had a VERY similar idea to this, just a different source of inspiration. My thoughts pretty much went along the lines of "Hmmm, there's an excalibur a legendary sword, why not a legendary shield?" Which resulted in my Aegis warframe which i never posted, i have some concept art i did of him if you want it, and just to let you know, I LIKE THIS IDEA, idgaf if Nyx is a good bullet sponge, i want to see this added.

  10. For some reason, light reminds me of mirrors, so as a suggestion, perhaps one of her skills could be Reflect- temporarily grants reflection to herself and allies. Pretty straight forward, it reflects bullets and lasers at varying angles, depending on the surface of the warframe the projectile hits. If you think this is OP then have a 20% damage reduction rather than full on resistance or something of the like.

  11. This is just a suggestion but, concerning the static nature of this warframe, you could make it so that the totem follows the warframe similar to that of a sentinel? or to expand on this, set a radius around the warframe and the totem could move around this area until an enemy is in "sight"  (can be hit by your totem's skills), OR you could have the totem pole teleport to the warframes destination when prompted, maybe have another command or replace one of the existing ones?

     

    Essentially:

     

    1)Sentinel-ish pattern of movement

       1a)Set a radius of possible movement (Until an enemy is within range)

     

    2)Teleport to Warframe upon command (could be an additional skill or replace one)
