  1. Not too long ago I failed a weekly Clem mission due to some glitch, error, what have you, that I haven't encountered before personally. It's brief though, got into the mission and first thing I noticed wrong was that Clem didn't appear as usual. About 8 minutes or so in with a little over a minute left, the sound que for life support running out plays, when I had around 70% life support left. 4 seconds later the mission fail screen comes up with me still having plenty of shield, HP, and time left on the clock. I don't mind failing a mission due to lack of skill or a mistake on my part, I can even somewhat tolerate the one shot b.s. that happens too often, but I have no idea what the hell happened here. It was just one mission, and after replaying it to see if the problem would happen again, the mission played normally. Still, it's best something like this gets checked if possible so it doesn't occur to anyone else or myself.

  2. Welcome to one of the main issues in Warframe, this crap can happen at any level with any frame. I've used tanky frames, I've used frames with a huge amount of shield and HP, even frames known for being durable or unkillable, will happen no matter what usually. And it is a common cop-out that people use a lot in defense of the game or to simply tell a player they aren't being efficient enough, which is said so often in many situations the actual core problems of the game don't get addressed. When people tell you that you can't or shouldn't use a frame, when all should technically be playable albeit some suited more for different roles, that points to some design problem where you have to either stick to certain frames (ones you may not use, like, whatever) to survive in general, spam the hell out of abilities (not entirely a negative, but is kind of ridiculous in some aspects that you MUST, or WILL die, though that doesn't help when getting instant KO'd by a shot from nowhere) or you have to grind for certain mods and arcanes that are ACTUALLY effective for survivability. The fact that people tell you that you have to also need to have high "kill efficiancy" (kill everything as fast as possible before you die), is a gameplay element of Warframe that has developed as a result of powercreep and scaling problems the game has had for some time.

Those at a point where they have all those necessary mods and whatnot, use only certain frames, etc. are the ones usually content with this system. These are issues in other games that either aren't there, or much easier to manage damage reduction and such, but nothing can really topple the merciless scaling system unless you use certain things, or play a certain way as some clearly indicate with their suggestions. I've also been one who has experienced being taken out along with a defense target in one blast by what I assume was likely a grenade. I can take a loss due to my own failings or a mistake, even sometimes tolerate the one shot b.s., but dying to bad mechanics is another matter entirely. But many seem content with these issues in the game, despite the numerous complaints about them, so likely it will never change. Now I think you can see some causes for burnout or people giving the game breaks if not possibly going to another game entirely and forgetting about Warframe.

And as you may now know, pointing out the scaling issues and such won't earn you any fans in this game.

with division2 the game lacked content so people got bored with doing the same thing over and over.

Thus current issues with Warframe, though it is yet to be seen if Railjack and the Duviri Paradox will solve that really. I will say, Warframe may have some real competition on it's hands come September when Destiny 2 drops free to play on Steam, if the grind is less intense and more enjoyable with a better balance to it's gameplay, that would speak for itself. From what I've followed, ever since splitting from Activision Bungie has been doing much better than before, so if it brings some needed competiton in the free to play, looter shooter arena (more like farm shooter in Warframes case) it could light a needed fire under the devs asses to crack down in areas the game needs it. Or has for some time.

  4. After reading through all this and some other similar posts and points, this game really does have issues with it's systems at their core that I don't know if it can be said enough is being done soon enough. Maybe that's why DE seems focused a lot on PR for the game in bringing more and more players than tackiling problems veterans are facing and new players will inevitably run into themselves, when one batch is burnt out, another fresh batch will come in. But could there be a solution with the upcoming Railjack? Would going back to more of a focus on teamwork curve things around in some way or not? One thing is true though, any major rework or slowing down of the pace of the game (which I see more people are saying) is going to cause a huge drop in player numbers, moreso the casual group that blows through missions and is out of the game just as quick. There is more content with Railjack, the Duviri Paradox, two new frames, and.....what else was there again? I really can't recall at the moment.

Anyone think any form of rework could be coming in the same span of time or could anything in that time frame be enough to at least start to curve things in another dirtection. It just seems like Warframe is charging headfirst into a wall and all it can do is keep running into the same thing, or the overall issues that really need to be addressed. The looter shooter, horde setup is a recipe for burnout, hell, look at the Division 2. As well as it sold in the beginning with a consistent player count, it now has dropped off in players drastically and recent analytics showed Anthem (of all things) is scoring higher in overrall interest (albeit negative) in online searches. How long would anyone suppose it would be before Warframe could face a similar issue if no susbstatial change happens?

As much as I like this game and want it to do better, I find myself wanting more than the constant farming and wiping out hordes generally the same way. In the beginning there was a heavier focus on lore and feeling of some kind of progression, albeit slower, and skill as it was at that point. Now it's heavily reliant on mods and clearing large groups as quick as possible. Even the new finishers seem out of place as cool a feature as they are, it seems more fitting in a game that isn't horde based. Like I said before, maybe with the coming content there could be changes, such as the Damage rework was it? I remember something mentioned once in the roadmap, just haven't heard it brought back up to say when it would be happening.

(What the hell, first I couldn't get my avatar on the Forums to change, when that fixes, I notice my rank is now incorrect? I give up.)

My glyph refuses to change. I've tried logging out and back in from main website, from forums, I've cleared cookies. Nothing works. Plees halp

Happening to you too huh? Finally got mine to change so I can't really say what the exact issue is causing them to not simply change like they are supposed to. I'm wondering if there is some wierd disconnect between the game and the website or something. Because now that the glyph problem seems to have fixed itself, when I try to open an update message from the in-game console, it won't bring up the Steam browser like it did all this time before. Now it jumps off the game completely to the the internet from my desktop. Recently been having issues with playing music from the Steam dashboard also, Warframe has been locking up on me and I can't leave the dashboard back to the game. So no idea what the hell is going on or if these issues are seperate or related to a common problem.

Please, as much as I like discussions, don't change the topic. This thread is about the "150 Bullet Jump" Nightwave Act.

Yeah, I think I already stated that myself in my previous message to you before. Was it necessary to bring it up again or did you not read it? And that response wasn't even for you, it was for DatDarkOne who gave some info regarding my question. Well, this is looks like it's turning into something else itself, and I'm not down for S#&$ stirring on a forum so I'm done. Peace.

It was changed to the wall hopping due to pathing issues with the geometries of the objects.  They plain to bring smooth wallrunning back as soon as they figure out how to do it without the random 3d objects breaking it.

Really now? I didn't know about them bringing it back at all, that made my day a bit. Just responded to another comment about it being able to be solved with some modifying, and looks like that was the plan, thankfully. Wall running certainly didn't work in different areas of the game as you mentioned, stuff that often interfered with it was about the one problem I had with it. Thanks for the reply!

This seems to be really headed off-topic. Perhaps post that in a different thread?

Since I'm replying to you anyway, the old wall running would make you slowly drop lower and lower down the wall, even if you were running straight. It was annoying, even if it looked better.

True, but would have been pretty easy to modify than to throw out in favor of wall-hopping. Now that I think about it, dropping lower on the wall as you run is something that usually happens in most games with wall running, the effect of gravity? That's why I mentioned the game 'Shinobi', where something like that wasn't a factor. But yeah, straying kinda off from original topic, my mind wanders onto different S#&$ pretty easy.

  9. As the title says, ever since I have been on here my in-game glyph will not show at all on the forums and such. I've tried changing it and it it always just shows the default grey Tenno Glyph. Is there some rank on the forums or an amount of time you have to be active for it to show? Nothing I choose seems to work. Not the biggest deal and certainly won't ruin my life, but just an annoyance that has been persisting for some time now.

Like with old alerts, doing an useless low level 10 waves defense for a single nitain

The game was way more stealthy and slow paced before the parkour rework, you could still rush, but the stamina and reduced movements slowed you

Yeah, it's definitely been awhile, but I do remember how it was setup before. And for the life of me I will never understand why they replaced wall running with...."bunny hopping" on walls everywhere, it looks ridiculous. They showed wall running in the new trailer at Tennocon because I'm sure they new any wall-hopping would kill the cool factor immediately, so I'm not sure why it had to go. Ever heard of or played a PS2 game called 'Shinobi'? I wish they would implement wall running like the ninja in that game was capable of, free wall running and could infinitely stay attached to walls. It was a kind of fun and feeling of freedom of movement other games rarely attempt, but considering the ninja theme, it would be awesome if it could be done in Warframe. But I'm sure the devs would feel it would make the game too easy, or perhaps too much fun for it's own good lol.

  11. Yeah, that didn't sound fun at all. I could imagine how 20 waves of that must have been. Just got done doing a Defense mission for the Proxy Rebellion. Well, I was dumb enough to go into it Solo the first time, then I saw the wave count was 20 and new I was F*&$?@! Stuck it out until I was inevitably gangbanged by the metal legion, didn't have the decency to spit on their hands, or give my Warframe a smack on the ass when they were done. Anyway, joined a squad next time around and obviously went much better. There's definitely some more work to be done with ol' Warframe. I do appreciate the work and what the devs do for the game, but there are some things a bit overdue. I know they seem to struggle coming up with new game modes, but they always seem to come off as time-eating, monotonous affairs all too quick. Are there any posts or threads with people brainstorming new ideas for missions and such? Haven't seen any myself, and if there are, I'm sure it's not a guarantee they may be feasible, or good, or that the devs would use them. But to me, the choice of missions and how they're structured makes it kinda hard to come up with ones that would work with the game without possibly changing aspects of the game's systems themselves.

Sometimes I've wondered at Missions like Intermission and how it is setup, would the Tenno really be running around a set area playing 'Capture The Base' essentially? Maybe I'm thinking too hard on it, and I know it's just a game mode, but for some time I've thought about if missions were setup in a way that actually ties into the story and going ons of the Warframe Universe itself. Pretty much along the lines of what they are doing with Railjack now, but applying that setup to missions overall. Take the new trailer for example, how cool would it be for players to take on a large force of Grineer in something akin to an actual battle, not just relying on clown closets and them endlessly spawning like in some modes in the game, but setup as if they are actually manning or maintaining a base of operations.

Maybe I'm not being all too clear with what I mean, and more than likely perhaps such and idea wouldn't work, but it's late and my mind is wandering and some of these comments got me thinking about how aspects of the game are setup, and usually always lead to burnout of some kind. Btw, now that I'm thinking about it, and I hate to sound like I'm just whining, but the rewards for the Proxy Rebellion......I wasn't quite expecting that. I guess the emblem is fine, but that Syndana...perhaps it just wasn't my personal taste. But had I known what it was beforehand, I might not have been keen enough to bother with the Bonus Mission. It is what it is I guess, I got something anyways.

  12. While I don't really think a 1,000 point task is that big a deal, I do see where people are coming from if they don't play in a way that utilizes it. I've seen people that void dash through everything (as per the playstyle of many that play this game, rush like every mission is a time trial) and don't need it. I can get it easily myself in one mission or two depending, but I'm not going to be a condescending ass like some here. But there is a point of contention with many involving some of these Nightwave tasks. In order to get some of the best rewards requires people to stop their personal progress or goals in the game to do grind runs like the fishing and mining people should really only have to do if they are trying to build a certain standing or craft a certain kit item. Then there is the polarization, which people should only do if they want to or not, not just to complete a task.

There are easy and valid Nightwave missions, but there are enough that curve you to play or engage different aspects of the game for the sake of getting the best rewards from Nightwave. If it stuck more to what players usually do, like killing enemies with different element or status types, that's fine. But maybe they could add other tasks like a certain number of headshots, killing a certain number of enemies with explosive barrels, but I guess those could be problematic somewhat in a horde based game because you aren't going to be focused on that when your getting swamped by enemies and most don't rely on those things to clear out enemies.

The game seems to be more focused on killing everything in the shortest time, which is kinda disappointing personally, because once I thought the game would lean to giving more stealthy (or a generally slower playstyle compared to what it is) options to approach things. But the way the movement system is and enemies are setup, it wouldn't work. I once thought since Warframe was about space ninjas, it would take a route where people could hug to corners, hide above enemies by sticking to the ceiling or in structures like overhead pipes(a generally more dynamic movement system and way to engage enemies). You can do these things, SOMEWHAT, but like I said they way the game is set up (movement options especially), it's not like something you could do in something like Tenchu. I understand that is a purely stealth game, but I relate it in the aspects of being ninjas and stealth being more a valid option for playstyle. But Warframe is a very different game, and though I understand it is a power-fantasy, horde-based, game, more variety in playstyle mechanics would be awesome. Though seeing as most of the community is into blasting and rushing through every mission, I seriously doubt any of those ideas I mentioned would ever occur, lest DE lose a huge amount of players over it.

  13. As much as some things frustrate me with the game, it's the only space ninja game we have really. Waiting to see what direction it all goes after Railjack. I just hope Warframe doesn't follow the path other online games have in the distant and recent past, trying to grow too big to appeal to a much wider audience, while trying to still appeal to those who've been along for the ride from the earliest days.

  14. Like the title says. I was in the middle of a survival mission and all of a sudden people started talking, freaked me out, then I thought someone's mic was on, the I remembered I was soloing. I recognized Rebecca's voice soon after and realized a stream for Plains of Eidolon was playing randomly for whatever reason. Not sure if it was on my end , or an interesting new glitch of some kind.

  15. How's it going. I don't really post, well, ever, mainly game, so I hope this is the place to ask about this. But I was just wondering if there were plans on some merch that is a little more varied than the usual Warframes like Mag, Ember, Excal. I'm pretty sure there are other Warframes with fans that would sell well were they put out there. I've noticed there's been the same three posters of Loki, Ember, and Rhino that seem to have been around forever, and considering how many Warframes there are now that's a little odd. Personally, I'd like to see some more Oberon, Ash, Nidus, Volt, Mesa merch out there. Delux version merch would be awesome. Not saying there hasn't been any new stuff in the store, I just happened to miss it when the Sacrifice and Fortuna merch came out initially. I missed out on some cool ass shirts, so here's hoping to see if some more varied Warframe goods pop up anytime soon. Oh yeah, just remembered that Clem bobblehead they showed on Devstream #128.
