  1. I made this weapon last night after hours of grinding to rank 4. It's a lot of fun but there were a couple issues.

One, I can't reload and sprint. In fact, I can't even fire while sprinting. Usually if you fire while you're sprinting, you fire one shot and stop running. With this, you just stop running but don't fire anything. If you're sprinting, you just don't reload and if you start sprinting while you're already reloading, it interrupts the reload.

Two, as many have already noticed, you do not get bonus experience from toxic cloud kills it seems.

Three, the occasional severe framerate drop.

I really enjoy using this weapon, but it can get a little aggravating. Also, something will need to be done about the toxic cloud scaling. A flat 20 damage will make it much less effective at higher levels. I suggest having it scale with serration and maybe start at 15 damage instead, or add new mods specifically for weapons with a dot effect. Like duration increase and damage increase.

I'd like to hear everyone's own experience and suggestions. We can gather all the information here to help the devs make Torid a kick*** weapon.

    Suggestions:

-damage scaling (either through serration or new DoT mods)

    -differentiable cloud color

    -FPS fix?

  2. I am proud to announce that for the first time ever in the time I've played warframe(since open beta started), I received cryo rounds!

I didn't even know they existed until a few weeks ago.

  3. Hahaha. I just saw this on another website this morning. I didn't really pay much attention to the work out, as that woman's cameltoe was incredibly distracting and kinda disturbing.

Honestly, it just looks like a way to get people to walk around like dinguses.

  4. I'd like to hear more about Warframe's lore and background. It's a really interesting and unique setting from what I've seen of it, but as it stands, practically all we know is what Lotus tells us during assassination missions as an aside. Some sort of Mass Effect style codex (Lotus archives?) would be welcome.

Going along with that, more unique missions/events to help break up the monotony of standard gameplay would certainly help alleviate some of the grinding and farmframe complaints. The fusion moa army was definitely a step in the right direction. Seeing more of that would be cool.

Speaking of which, one of the things Mass Effect 3 did really well was have weekend events like this. For the first eight months or so, every weekened there was a special event, like "kill X of enemy Y" or "extract while playing with class Z", with the reward being a special promotional item only available through weekend events. This helped shake up the gameplay and distracted people from the monotony of grinding credits to buy weapon packs. Of course, then they stopped when the game stopped being supported.

Another similar idea might be to let enemies push into systems - like, say, the Grineer enter a period of expansion and start pushing into Pluto, temporarily replacing a some of the Corpus missions with Grineer ones, and having the rest feature Grineer and Corpus fighting against each other. Then the Tenno, in order to preserve the balance of power, swarm into Pluto to start kicking the Grineer out. You could even tie this in to what missions Tenno are doing. Like, more defense missions = slower Grineer advancement due to having more Tenno to throw at the problem, or less spy missions = Tenno getting bushwhacked by tougher enemies more often because they aren't doing their intel gathering duties.

One thing I'd love to see is an action/reaction system. Either globally or personally.

One very light example would be, if enough players are doing missions in one area, have it reduce the influence of the dominant faction there.Either increase the likelihood of another faction invading during a mission, or as stated by facehugger, temporarily change the faction of certain missions in that area. Or maybe make things like that the trigger for small world events, as steve said he wanted to do more of.

  5. They mentioned it toward the end. What they were considering (and I hope they decide on soon so I can reset) was to make it so that if you contributed resources to your clan after they release the reset again, then you would lose the ability to reset.

I am totally fine with this personally, but I just hope they release it soon so I actually have a reason to play again. lol

  6. This morning I decided I was going to participate in the reset. Didn't realize beforehand that they took it down. I've been going through threads trying to find an ETA. The thread posted by a dev said monday or tuesday but got held back both times.

Wish they personally kept us updated though and offered some kind of time frame... is it gonna be a day or two/a week/a month?
