Tbh, i dont like any of those modifiers and the system of adding weird modifiers in general for some reasons:

    • forcing the use of certain frames or weapons will never be really fun and will upset many players
    • making most of the weapons or frames unusable because of a certain modifier isnt great either
    • the current system with giving random buffs is better in this case imo
    • will hurt solo-players a lot more
    • modifier 3-5 (and probably many others) will just encourage using Inaros/Rhino like it is already

But we are already being forced to use certain frames and weapons, its just always the same frames and weapons. Being encouraged to use different ones to be efficient on different Arbitrations would make the game more rich in varity. If you dont like an Arbitration, you can just skip it, just like the current ones.
The current system of random buffs isnt used most of the time, at least in my view. Most weapons are weaker than the standard "best" weapons, even with 300% more damage and frames that dont fit the playstyle of Arbitrations wont be of much use just because of more power strength.

I dont see how those modifiers hurt solo players more than the current Arbitration, care to explain?

The listed modifiers are just examples, I suppose a team of designers can come up with better ideas suiting the purpose of increasing varity.

  2. Yes, I know another Arbitrations thread, but please have a look at my idea to make Arbitrations more worthwhile.

For me, the biggest problem with Arbitrations is the monotony of the normal game modes combined with the slower reward progression, but lets keep the rotation discussion for another thread.
I wont propose any changes to the game modes (Defense, Survival etc.) themselves, because its really difficult to create interesting and engaging game modes that are still grindable without needing your full concentration for a vast amount of time, so keeping them simple should be the way to go. But how could the monotony be reduced, my answer is: encourage players to adapt their playstyles to increase their efficiency in Arbitrations.

My idea is to add different enemy/game modifiers that encourage players to use different frames, deploying different tactics.
Arbitration drones would be one of those modifiers. Arbitration drones encourage players to pick frames that affect themselves rather than the enemy, because enemies are often immune to abilities. It also encourages players to pick weapons that are able to take out a certain single target (like a sniper rifle). The modifier would cycle with each arbitration.

Here are a few examples of other modifiers, I think would accomplish this:
    1. "Let them die slowly": Enemies receive much less damage from weapons and abilities (or none at all) but status effects deal increased damage.
This would encourage using frames like Ash or Ember, who are able to incite damaging status effects through their abilities. It would also encourage weapons with high status chance.

    2. "Dont Move": Enemies receive much less damage from weapons and abilities (or none at all). Enemies only receive normal damage when their movement is impaired.
This one is meant especially for those Vauban mains, but also for many other frames that are able to slow or prevent enemy movement, that arent seen very often.

    3. "The Chosen": Shield and health regeneration (including heals) are greatly reduced. Using exalted weapons gives a buff to shield and health regeneration.
Quite an obvious one, promoting the use of Mesa, Excalibur, Hildryn, Wukong and the like.

    4. "I can see you": You continuously receive damage when you are seen by enemies. (Like a few % of shield and health every second)
Invisibility is your friend, you could still tank the damage or try evading direct contact to enemies, but using Loki, Octavia, Ash or Ivara is encouraged.

    5. "The floor is lava": Standing on the ground hurts your frame, the longer you remain in contact with the floor, the more damage you receive.
Being tanky or having high self sustain is the way to go, like Nidus or Oberon, but there would also be other ways around this, like Loki wall clinging or Zephyr staying in the air.

Those are just a few ideas out of my mind, I assume others have better more balanced ideas to encourage different playstyles. A few sortie modifiers could also be used, like "enhanced shield" or "augmented armor".
The 300% bonus to power strength and the increased weapon damage should be redundant, with those modifiers better fitting the same purpose.

What do you think of it? What kind of modifiers would you find interesting?
