  1. Not sure if this falls under Fan Concept or Feedback so I put it in general. If this needs to be moved, thank you to the Mod who moves it to the correct location.

    I have recently come back to the game after a long hiatus. I really enjoyed playing scarlet spear although that might be because I started after most of the issues were fixed. However, I can’t help but feel that the Kuva Lich system leaves something to be desired. I have two issues with the current system.

     

    My first issue is that there are only two personalities for the Kuva Liches. After the fifth Lich saying the same lines, it becomes a bit boring and repetitive.

     

    My second issue is that it doesn’t feel important. The current Kuva Lich is not particularly difficult to beat unless I running around with weak/unleveled weapons. Certainly a better and more interesting fight than The Grustrag Three, but still a bit underwhelming after having seen what was promised in various trailers. This got me thinking.

     

    I am sure DE has their own solution to this system as they have been thinking about it for a long time, but I though I would share a few ideas. We know that these Liches are chosen by the queens, but what if they had a handler above them? When the larveling is spawned we see a Kuva Guardian talking. What if this was replaced by some kind of Kuva Lich Commander? (some potential titles I have thought of are Kuva Lord, Grand Kuva Commander, and High Kuva Lich)

    This commander would be significantly more powerful than the other Liches. Lore wise, this would be an experienced Kuva Lich who had successfully eliminated several tenno and been rewarded with more kuva by the queens. Because I invision this enemy being very strong, I think it would make sense not to be an enemy that randomly spawns in a mission. From here I have two different ideas. As a quick summary, one involves an implementation of a large mission structure that would be similar to raids. The other is a world boss similar to Fomorian or Razorback.

     

    Raid:

    The entire Kuva Lich system was intended as a personalized supper powerful adversary based on your actions. To me, it would make sense if the previous 5-10 Kuva Liches served as mini bosses leading up to the final fight and maybe a few in the final fight as well. The only difference that I think would need to be made is that a correct parzon sequence shouldn’t be needed as their continuity has already been severed. However, I think these Liches should be in a special tile set based on their element and the enemies should all be titled as their minions with the Liches element added to their weapon. These tile sets could be based on some kind of planet, crewship, or asteroid depending on the Kuva Lich Commander as the Commander might control a platoon, a fleet, or a base (potentially a combination). The Commander could be based on the Kuva Liches spawned by the player. Maybe it randomly picks some abilities, a few resistances, and its weapon from the other Liches. It could also be based on what warframe the player equips for the mission. This would mean its abilities would come from other frames in the same progenitor category.

     

    World Boss:

    After a certain amount of time/Kuva Liches Killed a Kuva Lich Commander mission node would appear on a planet. The key to access the node could then be farmed by killing Liches on the planet below. These Liches would only require a mercy finisher. This would work similar to the Ambulas Reborn Event.

     

    Rewards for this would be difficult to gauge. It could simply be a better element roll on a kuva weapon or (as would be my favorite only if the raid option is done) a Kuva Lich based warframe. Kuva Liches could then drop cosmetics for this warframe as well based on their unique features. The warframe’s abilities could be set by DE or with some extreme balancing and restrictions, based on the Kuva Lich Commander.

     

    This is just something I spent a few hours thinking about waiting for glassmaker and I though I would share it.

  2. Unfortunately, probably not. They got removed because DE got tired of the maintenance and with their new open world focus it is unlikely they will come back. Rail Jack will be the closest thing when it comes out.

     

  3. So, my friend and I started the revenant quest a few hours after it was released. We went into the plains together at night and found the first circle on the map, but after we interacted with that area nothing else spawned. We left and have gone back several times over the last week to see if the quest would resume itself, but it never does. As a result it is impossible for us to get the blueprint.

  4. So far I have completed 25 C rotations in the void for the Axi s3 relic (mostly MOT). That is almost 8 hours of farming for a single relic and I still haven't gotten one. This includes 3 1 hour runs and a 2 hour run. People complained about the bounties being a rough grind, but this is far worse in my opinion. Sure the plains was and is glitchy like none other and forced people to restart, but I personally spent maybe 6 hours to get every relic I needed and multiple spares. Remember there were also 3 relics more than for this unvaulting. If a player has none of the parts on that relic then 7 relics are needed minimum. Assuming a player finishes 4 rounds on mithra in 15 min, It will take 87.5 hours for a 98% probability of receiving 7 relics. Did DE seriously think about how ridiculous they made this? Also, the relic is currently selling for ~40 platinum. Any other relic in the unvaulting sells for less than 10. Just think about that. This grind has sucked most of my enjoyment of this game out of me. I enjoy MOT, but the endless 20 min and leave gets boring. Mithra needs 4 people who aren't complete imbeciles to complete quickly and is incredibly boring. Scaling rewards or letting the player select their reward at certain intervals would majorly decrease the pain of grinds like these. 

     

    Anyways, this is my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

  5. Maiming Strike isn't that good. Condition overload is far better, costs 25% of the platinum maiming does, and is always available. Blood Rush is the mod that allows maiming strike to become crazy good, but is still fine on certain weapons with high crit chance and is far cheaper. Rivens also dwarf the power of all other mods. The meta doesn't define what is good. Things that are good and become popular are what make the meta. I have friends with rivens on weapons that no one ever uses that can make my maiming atterax look like nothing. Besides with spin-to-win most likely getting nerfed to high heaven in melee 3.0 spinning will become pointless.

  6. I can run POE with 50 fps on the windows 7 parallel on my almost 7 year old mac. Steve and the development team spend inordinate amounts of time and effort to make the game run smooth on very low end devices. You don't need any ridiculous i9 rig. Heck, I built a computer with an I7, a 1070, and 16 gigs of ram just over a year ago and with vsync off I get close to 500 fps on POE max settings and there isn't a computer monitor in existence than can refresh that fast. Sure the game probably can't be played on a 20 year old laptop, but frankly if you have a 20 year old laptop the company that made your laptop doesn't even support your laptop and you have had plenty of time to get a new one.  

  7. Today while doing a run on hydron I encountered a rather odd bug. I used my Excalibur Umbra's blind ability maybe a half second before a rhino in my party used stomp. While the enemy was still in the air, I noticed he was still blinded and so I walked up to preform a finisher on him with my sancti magistar (shattering storm stance).During the finisher, I was then glitched through the floor and fell for a second or two, but when my character reappeared where I had been I was locked in place and couldn't make any action. I tried /unstuck, but it didn't change anything. Fortunately, the old bleed out trick reset me and I was able to continue playing.

  8. So, I got a shotgun riven from the sortie today. I was at maximum capacity so I hit the purchase more slots option. Seeing that it was 60p, I decided to hit the escape key(esc) to exit the window. However, it did not take me back to the different riven options. I checked my mods and I was at 16/15 riven capacity. I immediately traded in a riven so I wouldn't get banned, but this was clearly a glitch.

  9. So I know the most recent patch notes say that they fixed the portal not spawning after a host migration, but I just did a mission where the host left on wave 2 and the portal did not spawn at the end of the round. I have had game breaking host problems on 3 out of my last 4 runs costing me a vandal part and a khora part. Please get these issues fixed.

  10. Hello, I just finished a mission on Io Jupiter with my Vauban and noticed that I could no longer hit enemies caught by my vortex with my melee weapon. I did not have a primary or a secondary equipped so I asked a guy in my squad if he saw damage numbers when shooting the enemies and he said he was dealing damage. For the record my melee weapon was a plague keewar staff.

  11. Hello everyone and happy new years!! I noticed this morning that I had hit my riven cap and so I need to get rid of some rivens. All of the below rivens are unrolled. The knell riven is ranked up because I thought I would like the knell, but I didn't. I have a general idea of how much these are worth, but not enough of one to set a price so please give reasonable offers.

  12. I actually like the air burst from the corinth. Self damage is a massive drawback for me on explosion weapons. So, detonating a certain distance away completely removes this problem. I also added gas damage to the explosion so it can level entire groups of enemies. the quartakk kinda feels weird though. Might need to try some different mods.
