I'm not saying the horde shooter design is outdated.. the game I mentioned is a horde shooter.. I'm saying the combat system is outdated however.  you cant say it's not it plays like the original battlefront on xbox, as does the enemy AI

 

 

Also just want to say.. not specific to anyone but dont confuse criticism for hate.  The game is tremendous, its quickly becoming one of my favorite games.  I think we are on the same boat that we love the game 🙂

Reason I referenced vermintide 2 is because fat shark took an already pretty robust game with a well thought out melee/ranged combat system and made their game even better with new levels, story, tons more content, system improvements, etc all in about 2 years after release of the first game.. while continuing to support the first with dlcs etc. This is a small studio, fat shark.  I think 35 employees?  They used the same engine, of course.

Anyways I'm not wanting warframe2 because AAA titles are being spat out yearly.. at their detriment BTW.

 

A second one would give the ability to start overhauling systems from the ground up without having to worry about affecting current balances, progression etc.  Its much easier and faster to build something fresh from ground up when you dont have to consider all the other crap that's already in existence and how it will affect them.  I'm not saying it would be easy either.

 

The weak points in warframe IMO are the fighting systems and the AI.  This isn't stardew valley here where the combat is one of 50 features, the combat is the game.  The game has beautiful art, design, graphics, environments, story, concept, etc etc but the core mechanics play like a playstation one shooter game.  I'm not trying to throw shade I love the game dearly.  Just offering my opinion.

Vermintide 2 is a horde melee / shooter with very high level skill cap and difficulty.

It pulls off a very rewarding first person combat / melee gameplay that is heavy on skill base.

It's what keeps me going back to it. I'm marveled by the lore and the world warframe has built but as someone who is new to game I'm already seeing the gameplay limits.  It's just very spammy

 

It's great to see the game supported for so long but I cant help but think a warframe 2 could be better than slow revamps

Games beautiful on 4k ultra settings.. one of best looking game out there imo.

Runs better than most games too. Battlefield 5 and other 'newer' games I run in 1440 usually to keep fps over 100 with a 1080ti.

 

Seems like you could have done something funny in nvidia control panel?
