The fact that DE is releasing content in such an unpolished state really makes me worry for the future of WF.

Though releasing it like this to the public might have an upside to it: since you have the entire PC playbase testing the game for you, bug reports will come in by the hundreds, and therefore bug fixes will follow, making the overall bug fixing process much faster and shorter. But then again, that will come at the cost of the respect that the playerbase had in the developer.

When they released Railjack, they sure didn`t mention that there would be a huge amount of softlocks, game breaking glitches, bugs that erase all previous mission progress, and many others. They released it in such a bad state, that it just makes the consumer question if the developer even has good intentions. And because of that, DE has lost many supporters, and will probably continue to do so until they show themselves to be deserving once again of our trust.

Until then we just have to hang in there, either that or drop the game and find something better. And tbh, after 2019, I`m not far off from doing that last one.

I hear ya, I'm really trying to hold on to the last bit of rope here too. I got into it within the last year or so and was excited for what's to come after TennoCon, but it's been rough lately, both for us as players as well as the studio I'm sure.

While I like the idea, there are a few things to consider:

The context of what we expect has changed, when considering the game we have thus far.
After being in development for nearly 10 years, our expectation for quality is perhaps beginning to outpace the rate at which they plan to work.
We have a larger pool of things to point to in the game as being better examples of their capacity. "Let's have more like that," however, might not consider that such examples could have been slowly refined over 4+ years when they have time, funding etc.. We now expect that quality consistently every few weeks; regardless of intention and attempts, that may not be possible for what they're comfortable in doing as a company, which brings my to my next point.

Updates average at 3 week intervals to keep players engaged.
This method has been successful and instrumental in their survival as a company for many years.
When their business started, it was expected impossible to offer what they intended.
Seriously, they were warned by other minds in their sector that players wouldn't go for it; it's only because we have, that Warframe has been possible.

The longer they spend on an update before it's released, the further into, "points of no return," they go with new content.
As with the Lich, many aspects of how it functions were changed post launch. (Not all, granted, but several changes were made.)
They might hit a point in development where they need help learning how bugs work, and send it our way to learn what we can..
We must consider, how they wish to manage/pace their company for their own sake.
The only way to fund and manage things is to keep people as close to their model as possible, so players did not feel left out. (Even when they still do. People are needy.)
Players feel simultaneously that we already have, "no content," and want DE to wait longer for updates.
The best balance they've been able to strike is by doing exactly as they are doing.

I know that many players feel that, by following the trends the player base sets for it, that they'll be better off for it.
You remember BioWare, though? We demanded Better/Faster, and EA demanded they deliver... to the point they went belly up.
I'm well aware that my perspective does not satisfy everyone, and we're all welcome to disagree.
It's my understanding that they're not fools, trying to deliver a janky mess of an experience.
The result we have is the reality of what it takes, and that these things are often just imperfect, and that's how it is.
While I'm not opposed to opting out of bugged updates, it will also create one more turn around deadline on when things are expected perfect.
Updates could take an additional 3 weeks or more, rather than 2 days to 1 week that way. Even the fixes need to be tested.
If our player base would stay around for that, perhaps they could, but we've proven before that we don't.

This is a model that, while imperfect and clumsy, is something they themselves feel capable of managing, and gets DE a result that allows them to continue.
The more refined that gets, the more bloodless and corporate it becomes. I'd assume it's already devilishly so as is. They started off very indie, and that's how they want to do it. We're welcome to experience that for free, and it does work for what it is. That's not nothin'. It's their baby first and foremost, and the closer they can run it as such, the more satisfying the work is for them as people. The less of that they get, the more it sucks the fun out of the work. Too many good companies have folded under the pressure of the players to be perfect.. which means I have more hope for the future of Warframe and DE, if they take a more casual metered approach as they have all this time already.

I must say I am really thankful and appreciate your well-thought-out response. I suppose taking all of those things into account, I'll just take a back seat and try to enjoy playing with friends while I alternate towards other games in the meantime during those periods where I can't quite bring myself to willingly expose myself to certain areas of Warframe.

I suppose as a player the least I'll continue to do from now on is just be one of those hundreds of players that supports and posts actively the bugs that are making the game less enjoyable.

In regards to BioWare, I remember the name but not what was happening with it.

Something I wanted to mention is that Warframes themselves are a defining factor of the game, and with primes coming out with regular release cycles, what strikes me most is that the history or story of them is only included on a few like Titania, Nidus, Limbo, etc. Those quests helped me get closer to the game and understanding them. That being said I can see there's a lot of reliance on them for continuous funding, and I hope that this is being used to develop the game's story further. Warframes are one way of changing how you play the game, but the story is just the other essential part that keeps me attached to how it all ties in together.

  3. So, I haven't had as much fun with Warframe since the release of the Liches.

I created one, had it steal my stuff for a while and then I felt obligated to kill it to prevent that from happening anymore. Converting it seemed like something I might like, but it's not available for bringing into our ships yet. Getting a new weapon and requiring the multi-forma method to gain mastery isn't very fun for me.

Empyrean I was really excited about, but we'll see after the new bug fixes are implemented.

The game has such a huge grind-wall implemented into it and maybe not enough story yet, that's something that's big for me, it keeps me coming back, the grind does not.

I think a big issue is how updates are implemented, right now the PC userbase experiences all of the bugs first before anyone that has a console does, sometimes out of frustration, things are posted here after huge losses due to bugs, or experiences that haven't been "fine tuned" so that the majority of users are satisfied. I don't think the entire PC userbase wants to be a guinea pig for new updates. I don't think this is the way it should be, maybe someone at DE has probably thought of this, but partitioning your audience into the people that are open and willing to accept all of the bugs that come with sometimes game-breaking bugs.

What are your thoughts on this everyone? We don't currently have a choice in receiving new updates, and with the last few updates I can no longer assume they're actually ready for us to experience since we are expected to submit feedback here on the forums whenever we think something should change and hope it gains enough attention for it to be mentioned on a devstream maybe, or that a dev replies directly.

    Hi DE

Can we have a way to cancel repairs of the part of RailJack, I started some of those early on and now I'm stuck with them just taking space.

I really don't wanna waste resources completing those one.

    Regards

They said they're working on that, it's coming eventually---the ability to stop repairs and be able to re-purpose them to a different avionic you might want to repair

Was doing stuff in the Void, launched myself from the Railjack's Archwing slingshot cannon at a crewship.

Problem is, the crewship was in the middle of exploding from, presumably, a fellow Tenno blowing it up, so when I punched in through, I immediatedly noticed everything was on fire inside, so I exited the doomed craft at the earliest opportunity.

Which resulted in me staring at what I think is an extremely zoomed-in part of the ship's texture., unable to do anything (like even open up the gear menu to recall via omni, all options are grayed out)

How my screen looked like for the rest of the mission:

edit: I did get notifications for resources being picked up, and the chat worked fine, but apart from that nothing of note

EDIT 2: team graciously left for the dojo dry dock, I still couldn't move, but at least I could see my frame enjoying some hovering action

I have experienced a similar bug just now except I quit the game because I could not use chat to type in /unstuck or something and see if it would work.

Either Mending Dash from the Vazarin focus tree, or I just play solo as Trinity. Yeah she requires a lot of micro but she's quite close to the God mode her name would suggest

I am probably not at a level where I can comfortably micromanage trinity, but I'd have to try and see some possible builds. Mending dash from Vazarin I found really useful for arbitrations with inaros because the high health pool is unaffected by nullifiers except for wearing off the armor from condensing his health. That and also it helps with rushing to aid teammates on the brink of death.

are you asking for waframe that could heal other or self healing? or simply way to heal self without change your warframe? if you looking for squad healing there is a bunch of frame like Trinity, Harrow, Nidus, Oberon, Khora or self healing like Inaros or Wu Kong. there also bunch of skill augment that make the skill self healing like Saryn or Ember. if you like healing from other than frames, you can use Sentinel or Beast Mods like Medi Ray or Hunter Recovery. there also other stuff like Mantis Orbiter air support call can heal you

edit: FYI, oberon and Trinity is obtainable without doing the sacrifice, even Oberon can be done before doing anything else, just hunt some Eximus

I am just looking for answers for how you choose to heal your Warframe, to see what our options are throughout various stages of the game.

Specifically the Steel Meridian, New Loka, and Arbiters of Hexis procs.

I saw something on reddit once for these, I think they should be made more obvious because I don't know what +1 truth means in numerical values. I know cephalon suda increases max energy pool when using their weapons/mods, what about the others?

    - Rejuvenation aura

-Beast pet with Pack Leader+Hunter Recovery  (pack leader isnt really "needed" as that is how you heal your pet.  HR is what heals you.   This is my 2nd best healing method,  this handles any nicks and cuts or small chunks of damage)

-Robot pet with Synth Deconstruct+Synth FIber+ Health Conversion.   SD makes enemies your sentinel hurts sometimes drop HP orbs.  Fiber FORCES your frame to pick up all HP orbs.  HC grants armor on HP orb pick-up...  (all you really need as far as health recovery as SD but as long as you are using that you might as well get armored up also......this all relies on a 25% drop chance which is pretty horrible,  I dont really like this combo of mods)

-Any pet with medi-pet ray is a super crappy HP regen  (only activates sporadically)

-Magus elevate has a 75% chance of healing u 200 hp and you transfer INTO your warframe.  Not 100% and only 200 hp.  It works great when it works but is not very reliable. (Quills)

-Magus nourish? makes you Warframe regen hp when you transfer OUT of your warframe for x amount of seconds.  Reliable but time consuming and I dont remember the % of healing per second. (Quills)

-Magus Replenish? Heals you by 20% when you void dash?  I think this heals others who you dash through..  I've seen this used a little and it looked really effective...(quills)

-Magus Repair heals you and everyone else within 20meters by 20%/second while u hide in the void as operator.  This is favorite method of healing.  You are immune to everything while you heal.  The only downside is if you are in a time crunch.  But your usually not at 0% when you need healing.  I usually only use 2-3 seconds just to get back into the fight.)

Magus healing arcanes can be difficult because of the lag of transference sometimes.

Great list, I'm intrigued on trying out the magus ones, but like others have mentioned it may require multiple uses if it's not 100%, or not ideal in a time crunch if healing is not a "burst" and more gradual.

The pet one seems awful like you said with the reliance on the 25% drop chance.

    Healing Pizzas

    Rejuvenation Aura (forgot this :-P)

Melee mods: Life Strike, Healing Return,

Companions: Synth Deconstruct, Medi-Ray, Odomedic, Vasca Kavat, Hunter Recovery,

Weapons: Hirudo, Hema, Broken Scepter, Furis with Winds of Purity, Nikanas when using Daikyu with Amalgam Daikyu Target Acquired

Frame arcanes: Arcane Grace, Arcane Victory, Arcane Pulse (assuming you have some way of generating health orbs)

    Weapon arcanes: Exodia Might

Spoiler mode: Magus Elevate, Magus Nourish, Magus Repair, Vazarin Protective Dash

    Parazon: Blood for Life

This is quite the thorough list, I've thought about broken scepter, but does it not require you to stand there and absorb the enemy and drop the health orb?

Also healing pizzas are the squad heals?

  11. 5 minutes ago, AndouRaiton said:

If you have Spoiler mod, then there is Magus Nourish which heals your frame by 10/15/20/25 health per second as long as you are in spoiler mode when exiting the warfarme. Or Magus Elevate which heals your frame by 50/100/150/200 health upon entering your warframe. This means you can easily heal your frame at the press of a button at any time for a decent amount.

I have spoiler mode, I tried looking into this but I don't think the nourish I have is leveled enough to provide enough protection, Elevate on the other hand sounds a bit more doable for burst healing in a pinch.

  12. Hello everyone, I've been thinking recently about the new reworks on some frames and the other day I invited my friend to go obtain the parts for Rhino. We needed some plastids for them, which led us to go to Piscinas. I brought Nekros for extra loot, he brought frost prime since we got it from twitch and was a bit tankier for survival with high shields.

I already have some protection with nekros' despoil and shield of shadows augment but he doesn't and eventually there comes a point in every mission when the enemies just get too tough and we are forced to leave.

Especially against factions that tend to bypass shields I am always worried about how I am going to heal myself if I don't have vazarin dash active. I've equipped life strike on my weapon and now that has me slamming the ground whenever I need health. Even if I liked playing Nyx I knew I wouldn't have been able to live as long as I did  without setting her up with reliance on her assimilate augmented absorb, even then energy parasites are a nightmare if you can't find them and kill them quickly at 50% movement speed.

Also I like my lovely Titania, but how do I perform heavy attacks now with her razorwing melee weapon now? I rely on those to heal her.

What are some relatively easy ways that you heal a warframe you like to play that doesn't have an innate ability to self heal like Oberon or Trinity? My friend hasn't completed the sacrifice yet, so feel free to suggest arcanes but those are harder to obtain if you're not pouring plat into the game or trading.

    Thoughts?

I've been reading the feedback forums on suggestions, but I just wanted to hear your thoughts first on how you heal yourself in a mission. Survivability seems to be a main concern in Warframe. I'm glad everyone rushes to revive me and appreciate it, but also mitigating how often it happens can make our gameplay a little more fluid throughout missions.

It was from their latest Devstream

*Edit* Actually looking at it again (including the current in-game) I wonder how you managed to buy the item with plat in the current state.  Did you not notice that it took one fewer selections than it should have.  The newer UI might be more likely to result in your issue since moving to the credit tab currently requires the extra selection defining it from plat.

Thank you for the link to the Devstream.

I made the purchase too quickly as I was scrolling down the list on the switch and realized I chose the wrong item, and then the mission began.

As I mentioned earlier, I think an arsenal should only show what I currently do own.

At most, if there are going to be items I don't own, then I'd prefer only blueprints that can be purchased with credits should be made available. An accidental purchase with credits hurts much less than losing as much as some of the items currently available for platinum on the list.

    Edit:

As I'm watching the Devstream I've only noticed market and void relic UI changes, so I wanted to clarify that my purchase happened within the arsenal menu, not the market.

  14. 9 minutes ago, Jiminez_Burial said:

Why was it that you 'felt rushed' in the first place?  That seems like something you caused more than anything.  Also the new UI update should fix this as it shows the credit version first so once that goes live, it's simply the fault of the player.

Hello there, I did not know about the new UI update, can you provide a link? I'm interested in the details.

I am assuming the player has to press a different key to bring up the item to purchase with platinum?

  15. Hello everyone, I'm not sure how many of you have experienced this, but I recently made an accidental purchase on the Nintendo Switch. So, I wanted to brainstorm ways to prevent this from happening to you, and other community members. Here is my story:

I was inside my arbiter [in the arsenal menu] and the mission timer countdown began(initiated by someone else in squad), so I felt rushed through the prompts and realized I made the wrong purchase in attempting to purchase an item with credits. The steps and prompts during this process are same with the difference being that some items consume platinum. I clicked through it all and didn't realize it was equipped immediately. The mission began and I didn't have a chance to unequip it. What do I do now that I'm inside the mission? How many of you know what action to take?

As it is now, it is possible for the following situation to occur:

    1. The ability for any member to start a mission regardless of the consent of each member in a squad, meaning the timer will start regardless of what any player in the party may be doing, or whether they have indicated they are ready or not, in my case I was trying to purchase an item with credits that ended up being an accident.

    2. On that same note, Platinum purchases and Credit Purchases are combined on one list within the arsenal of Primary, Secondary, and Melee Weapons, making it possible for anyone to accidentally purchase any item with Platinum, especially on a system like the Switch, where Warframe isn’t as responsive due to lower FPS and players have to use a controller to navigate and scroll through. Even though there is a menu for the “Market”, where most platinum purchases can also be made, the possibility for accidents is opened in the arsenal where I think I should only be able to see the items I do own, not the ones I don’t, and especially not purchases involving premium currencies.

    3. Any item that is purchased with either credits or platinum is immediately equipped, another way that the situation could be avoided is if [hypothetically] the accidental purchase did indeed go through, BUT the item was NOT immediately equipped, therefore I would have gone into the mission, extracted, and had an unused item that was purchased by accident. Additionally, if purchases made with either credits or Platinum within the arsenal menu were treated much in the same way that foundry items are crafted-->claimed-->equipped, with the third step requiring the player to equip the item, a player can still contact support about the accident.

Please let me know what your thoughts are on the matter, as it may help prevent this from occurring.
