  1. I know who you are >XD

Cause that paragraph was directed directly at me >XD

But if anyone is interested in joining a clan..

AsurO is recruiting and The WFalerts page is where we attained 50% of our members before heading to the fourms!

Check us out in the clan subsection under discussion.

Yeah with the emergence of Dojos in Update 8 clans are going to be all the more essential so me and the other officers have decided to help promote WFAlerts more to help progress the game as well as the community. Your clan is a great example of how success helps facilitate success.

  2. Greetings Tenno,

As many of you may have noticed there are several methods to receiving Alerts in-game. With the introduction of Warframe Nexus for the Android and WarframeAlerts on Twitter, alert missions have become all the more easier to access. With that being said it must seem then quite excessive to want another method when you already have these fine applications. Nonetheless, I'd like to promote to you all another alternative one that can prove as effective and potentially better - our Warframe Alerts Group via Steam! (WFAlert)

    1. What makes WFAlert so special and why should I bother?

Well WFAlert is an easier and more community oriented method of notifications. The primary difference is that this method allows for in-game pop-ups via Steam's event schedule mechanics. So, in a nutshell - when an alert starts you will get a pop up on the bottom right of your screen stating what that alert is.

Example: Cytherean (Venus): 30m - 9700cr - Energy Siphon (Artifact)

Upon completion the event will become: [Expired] Cytherean (Venus): Energy Siphon (Artifact)

This will allow you to keep track of events missed and events occurring but also present an interesting new feature one that the other methods don't particularly employ and that is - discussions per event.

    Example: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/WFAlerts#events

    2. Why are discussions per event pop up important?

Simple. Suppose there's a Glaive on Outer Terminus 30m until completion. You are no where near that extent in progress so your only resort? Say - F.M.L. and spam global chat. When these events occur you simply need to press - Shift+Tab (Default) to open your steam browser and click the pop up where it says "View Event." This will then take you to the discussions boards where you will see TONS of other people LFG and other patron members LFM. This method allows for an expedient facilitation of our Steam members into groups with willing hosts.

    Example: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/WFAlerts#events/1675615266191743812

    3. I have everything unlocked already - so why do I care?

As I stated previously our group isn't more than a systematic organizing of members into groups but a strong community. Gee, that sounds fruity. I won't lie - it kind of does but again hear me out. Our community discussions are always active and please keep in mind that our group boasts over 6,400 members with an average of 2,000 online and 600 in-game (More than even the Warframe Official group). Our discussions ARE active, our members ARE active, and if you're not a lone wolf kind of guy or simply want some Warframe oriented pointers or feedback you'll feel right at home.

For example, Patch 6.10 brought about some errors specifically the loss of Artifacts and BPs. Within a matter of minutes member came pouring in about the error. With a few minutes after that we were able to announce to the whole group that DESteve had actually already stated a solution - There will be a hotfix coming on Monday and those losing items should submit tickets. This announcement helped remove the hassle of having to search through 10+ pages of forum posts simply because our officers and members are active and help our community through those rough times.

    4. I already have a community - it's called a clan. $&*^head.

Okay so you have a clan. Congratulations. Is it 6,400+ members strong? Didn't think so. Want it to be? Good. Post your clan application in our forums and easily announce to that same number you're looking for members. Please keep in mind WFAlert officers are bias towards all clans. We promote equal opportunity and will not pin your thread to simply make it stand out and give you an unfair advantage. Like-wise, our officer system is a rotation based system meaning officers change frequently. This means that YOUR clan officers if proven as a acceptable candidate CAN BECOME a WFAlert officer (at least temporarily until we deem otherwise) within a matter of days or even weeks.

Currently one of our WFAlert members had gathered over 100+ members from monopolizing on this forum thread

    alone.

    Example: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/WFAlerts/discussions/1/

    Final Notes:

Again we promote equal opportunity. Our officer system is set to put at least 2-3 moderators in place every 6 hours of the entirety of the 24 hour clock. (More moderators are being added continuously but we keep a core amount ready and able) Also, no clan can have more than 1 clan officer in our ranks as moderator to promote equal opportunity and fairness. It would be unfair to have 4 Warframe Japan mods because that would be far too much advertisement for their clan.

I hope you all join us. We average at a growth of 20+ members daily sometimes more and would like it to continue that way. If you're interested here's our link:

  4. Based on DE's track record I think it's safe to say that they're more than likely going to release the new weapon in an upcoming "?" Alert... hopefully multiple times. (They've done something similar with Dark Sword although the reason was different) I think people just need to be patient. Remember when Catalyst came out after nearly a week since the last alert and there were server issues? Catalyst is 20 plat and when problems occurred they released 2 more and reimbursed several others totaling 3+ catalyst for some of us. (Although I think some people reported being bugged and not being able to get the rewards still)

This is definitely disheartening however; and I do recall DERebecca posting a reply to another player about not updating as a reason to the BP not being there which is odd since in a later post she states its only to be released as an alert. Perhaps she got her information mixed up? Whatever the reason DE hasn't failed us before so I doubt they'll start now granted their player activity rate is still peaking.

  5. @DEStaff Not sure if you guys addressed this in the current update but the Snipetron sounds like a pellet gun more than an actual sniper rifle. But perhaps that's just me playing too much CoD with the .50 caliber. Overall great improvements. Did DESteve ever get around to creating the full list of what continuity, focus, and reach amplify now as he said he would try to find in the 7.8 discussions? Or is the current list the most DE is willing to share with us :)?

  6. No they haven't... they still do the exact same thing because they only wanted the BP and if it doesn't drop they still abort.

The completion for these missions is anything between 2100-4900 credits now so if they are still doing it then they haven't figured out they're losing a lot from quitting early. Not to mention bosses drop neurodes, control modules, etc. which are valuable themselves. Since this update I have yet to run into someone who immediately dropped after a boss fight. Perhaps you're just having bad luck or are being overly pessimistic.

  7. @DEStaff

I actually like these changes. The alerts which were meant to provide us above average credits are doing just that and the people exploiting start > kill/farm > abort methods of farming have been put a stop to. The problem now I feel is that a majority of players enjoyed the defense missions as do I. And now we lose nearly all our drops when we lose the mission. Personally, since defense missions don't give credits in the first place I think mods are the only way people can feel rewarded from doing defense missions which adds to the fun. Now initially the original problem I believe were the exploiters spamming high yield missions for resources. If this is the case then why not just disable resources only and allow us to keep the mods that drop? I don't think people farming mods in defense missions was ever the problem so I am not sure why you guys chose to remove it all together and I doubt anybody ever waited for a rare drop then said, "Yes! See ya beechez!" and aborted.

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Missions (540 of 2046 people prefer defense missions over a majority of the other types except assassination which 954 people enjoy)

Also, I've done maybe 4 rescue missions and that thing is bugged half the time. The way point takes forever to update once the hostage has been taken and sometimes doesn't even update (thus not allowing us to progress due to locked doors). I was forced to abort twice after nearly 30 minutes of waiting and by then the alert duration was nearly finished.

I enjoy this game, it's one of the few I actually bought currency for that's F2P so I feel I should tell you for the sake of the gamer community - There is a thin line between a challenge and a punishment. Challenges make the game fun because overcoming difficulties is rewarding (Ex: Getting to lv.26 then realizing "Oh, F- I just spent half my ammo on one ancient!") Punishments however, make the game frustrating more than fun because in the end failed game mechanics contributes to our defeat and not the fault of us not preparing or adapting well enough.

  8. Is anyone else missing their Regen on their sentinel? I just checked mine and was confused to see why he had 12+ unused mod slots and noticed Regen was gone. I checked my mod list and couldn't find my ranked up one nor any Regen for that matter. Am I the only one? Perhaps I deleted it by mistake?

Also, I just cast Link vs. Stalker and he utterly kicked the crap out of me with it up. Not sure if that is suppose to happen?

  9. Hi, Trinity player here.

Anyway, it's a pain to have to keep pressing Z and to be completely stationary the whole time I am holding down Z. Its gotten to the point where after I unload my magazine I hold down Z to check my teams health and since I am reloading it seems the most efficient thing to do at the time since I cant really do anything else while reloading. So it would be great if: You guys added the team HP bars seen by holding Z to the UI permanently (toggle on/off in menu) so we wouldn't have to hold Z everytime to check group health.

Shields and energy bars would be great. I mean you can check by zooming into a teammate their shields etc. I don't see why you can't use that bar for the player screen shown on with the Z command. So it would also be great if you: used the same HP/Shield bar we see when we zoom in to display team shield and health in the same permanent group status bar.

Also, energy - would make vampire a lot easier to use. As is I am just spamming that thing on any high HP target I see and praying it goes to the right people. Therefore it would be great if: You included team energy bar also.

Anyway, thats my UI feedback as a Trinity player. I appreciate the time and effort you guys have put into this game so thank you for taking the extra time to read this post.

Side note: Having that little box I've found always promoted a more cooperative group play. As is I feel that players are more soloers than they are teammates. Perhaps this idea can help promote more cooperation/friendliness?... and better Trinity support players. Off topic but I believe Trinity as is is one of the most powerful warframes as I am able to fully heal team mates 5-10 times per 15+ defense round spamming Vampire and Blessing.
