    Faction: Grineer

    Weapon type: Fists

    Description:

When the Furax just don’t suffice: The Jat Furokk is a powerful Grineer-built fist weapon that specialises in pure impact and fire damage. Because of its size, the Jat Furokk has been outfitted with three jet engines on each gauntlet, multiplying its destructive force while minimising the loss of attack speed. Executing a charge attack, while slow, is exceptionally powerful and strikes with enough force to send foes airborne as well as propelling the user forwards. Exhaust ports on the front of the weapon release excess flames upon each hit, setting the unfortunate foe ablaze.

    Notes:

    • The weapons are indeed asymetrical.
    • Grineer text on the green fuel tube states "ROCKET"
    • As a charge attack is charged, the flames spewing out of the Furokk's engines gets fiercer and fiercer until the attack is executed.
    • Smoke blows out of the primary exhaust ports with every swing, while the secondary exhaust ports produce fire with every swing.
    • Its charge attack is slower than average, but has a higher damage multiplier. As the user is propelled forwards, all foes in the way of the attack are knocked down.
  2. You can't expect all people to be nice to you. There will be egotistical jerks whose only interest is their own gain, and they're willing to leech others for it. Happens in real-life, happens in game-life. It's something not even a report system can fix, and you'll find that this is the case in every MMO, even in the ones where leeching is punishable. People will do it regardless.

thank you, I am pleased to hear that you guys like what I've been showing

all of this is after all being done for warframe fans who also use SFM

still i'm having issues trying to get the Source SDK to work until then i'm just taking a break until I find a solution

Vor will be the first to come to the SFM Workshop along with the Seer and Janus key

Also I believe Coverop's Grineer pack will have Female Grineer

Coverop also offered to help me, but some how I angered him and honestly i'm feeling kinda down about it

I don't know what I did but i'm now to afraid to talk to him now because I wish not to anger him any further

again though thank you, your words indeed boosted my confidence

Take all the time you need. I'm certain that all of us are already thankful that you're making the effort to port the models.

  4. Absolutely superb work. People looking to do Warframe SFM animations (such as myself) are gonna be so friggin pleased with this! You have all of my thanks.

Now to wait until someone ports the female Grineer over to SFM, but that's nothing but a personal desire of mine.

    Keep up the good work!

  5. Okay, so I have some knowledge as to how PBR texturing works, but what I just cannot wrap my head around is how to make the colour customisation work. I know that it has something to do with the Red, Green, Blue, and Alpha channels, but whatever I do, I just cannot get it to work. I've tried everything that the Help section said, but I just can't do it.

    Could anybody help me out?

    Thanks in advance!

  6. They payed cash money for it, it should be perfect. What if you bought something brand new from the store and it was all scratched or dented up. "It's only cosmetic, who cares right?" WRONG.

Just because new stuff seems to always have problems with some frames doesn't make it ok. It means they consistently DO NOT test their stuff before releasing it. And we have to hold them accountable for releasing substandard quality to paying customers. Just because it's cosmetic doesn't mean attention to detail should be sacrificed. This isn't something you can get for free, it can only be had by paying cash and it should be held to the highest standards in the game.

    Exactly.

  7. I do care about looks, but no one should become so frustrated about these small things.

P.S: Twitching/crazy syandanas probably one of the few cosmetic glitches that bothered me.

Again, I am probably a bit vain. But each to their own. You're bothered by crazy syandanas. I am bothered by how off the Edo Prime pieces look on Warframes.

  8. I think new armor/syandanas always have problems with some warframes. Just remember, you will always have those cosmetics and DE will eventually fix them.

And what if some armor pieces might be a bit off compared to others? When you´re playing, all you can see is your big butt.

Call me vain, but appearance does matter to me. It is visibly off, and therefore when standing still it is a glaring issue to me. Whilst I do believe that they will fix it, I just wanted to raise awareness of this.

  9. I hope this gets fixed, it looks off on volt prime too

Now that is just bad. It should've been good from the start, and I expected it to at least look good on Volt Prime...Apparently not.

Please DE, hear our concerns. This is a real issue that bothers people, who paid quite a steep price to even -get- them.

  10. As expected, there would be a few things that need to be tweaked. You're not the only one that could be bothered by those errors, in fact I'd be &!$$ed if I also bought them right away. You would have thought they would at least try this on, on ALL frames as they are modelling/designing it. This is a paid item, at an arguably steep price if I might add. Those should've been rolled out flawlessly in the first place.

The devil is in the details as they say.  Though I expect (and hope) this post to raise awareness of this, and that it will lead to a fix for this in the near future.

  11. Title says it all. It's been a problem for a while, and I decided to take it upon myself to address this issue. Here's some screenshots to show you exactly what happens when you apply Mesa's stance to just about any Warframe, and what it'll do to your equipped armour pieces.

    YVEyDCN.png

    Clips into the arms.

    NENH7nM.png

    Floats away from the arms.

See what I mean? Yes, I have checked all other stances, and it only happens with Mesa's. My guess is that the armour pieces are using offsets relative to Mesa, instead of the other Warframes.

  12. These small things make me wonder if there is any playtesting whatsoever..

I mean, cmon.. releasing stuff with such minor mistakes.. and then taking forever to fix them because they are what they are — only 'minor problems', so they aren't a priority..

Sorry for the salt, had to vent..

    sad_face.jpg

Not blaming you. It is rather annoying. I mean I paid cash for this stuff, I expect it to be good.

  13. For instance, I applied them to my Nyx Prime. The armour on the right leg seems to look out of place. It seems as if it is too far to the right, and too far away from the leg. It is especially visible from the back, and it just looks odd.

    zxwhrXe.png

As does it with some other Warframes. Too far away from the leg, in the wrong position, and even on some occasions the Edo Prime chest piece clips -into- the Warframe (Albeit slightly). Namely on Mag/Prime.

    mBqLMu3.png

With Nova/Prime, it doesn't look very well aligned to the legs. Very subtle, but noticeable difference. And while the regular Edo piece clips as well, it is better aligned with the leg. Made a red line to show the position and angle of the leg, and to show how the Edo Prime piece doesn't line up.

    boOxcv6.png

Not only that, but my equipped clan emblem is clipping through the armour as well in all cases.

Now I don't know if I am the only one bothered by this, but it does put me off due to how subtle, yet somehow -bothersome- these errors are.

    Anyone else noticing this?

  14. Thank you for all the feedback, people! I see that you still have your fair share of concerns regarding the concept of Grendel so allow me to clear a few things up for you, to give you some insight into my thought process.

The head looks Grineer simply due to the fact it is trademark to their designs. However, the idea has now struck me that perhaps that mask is worn before she is rescued, and is removed once Grendel has been obtained, revealing the Warframe's head underneath.

I made Grendel female because I found it an interesting idea to have both altered frames be female, and to show that the Grineer are willing to go much further than the Corpus in altering a single Tenno. Yes, the Grineer indeed built -around- the Warframe and it is still underneath the Grineer exterior, but removing this exterior would be lethal to the Warframe underneath. I didn't make anything on Grendel look mechanical because -that- would mean that the Grineer did alter the Warframe directly. Blackout751 explained it very well.

As for Oppression, I am turning it into an armour buff.

Let me know what you think :)

  15. Thank you all for the feedback and I will most certainly take it into consideration. I will see if I can make Grendel a little more monstrous, but I wanted to keep it a bit clean to keep the 'Tenno' feel about it. I shall also see about tweaking and altering the backstory a bit more to see if it can fit the lore better. I wanted to be a bit bold and have the Grineer take an unexpected turn by creating something quite like this.

For her "Oppression" ability, I initially had multiple different ideas, but me and a few friends could never figure out what to actually use.

The following ideas have been mentioned for Oppression:

Increasing the armour of allies significantly

Decreasing enemy defenses whilst boosting melee damage

    Increasing allied Warframe power strength

Anyone else be able to help me out here?

  16. So, after another spree of boredom I came up with this beauty.

    grendel_resize_by_dexvam-d8lmm9h.png

    grendel_colours_by_dexvam-d8lmmh0.png

And some colour variations to show which parts can and can't be coloured

I just had the idea to create the Grineer's response to the Zanuka project. And while it may be a bit generic and straightforward, I found it a lot of fun to draw and think of.

    Backstory

    My queens,

I am pleased to inform you, with great joy, that project Grendel was an overwhelming success. The augmentation of the Warframe chassis we recovered long ago was carried out flawlessly, and it is now fully operational through our superior technologies; this marks the day for the Grineer's complete domination of the system. A perfect amalgamation of Tenno and Grineer, Grendel is an unstoppable force with the strength of a thousand men. With this new weapon, nothing may stand against us. Not the Corpus. Not the Infested. And certainly not the Tenno.

And do not worry, my queens. Its location is kept secret, for I know these wretched Tenno will want to stick their noses into places where they do not belong. Grendel's delivery to a Corpus cargo ship shall be carried out tomorrow. Then they shall know, once and for all, that the Grineer rule supreme.

    Sincerely

    -Tyl Regor

A message intercepted by the Lotus, from Tyl Regor to his Queens, detailing something known as project Grendel. It caught the Lotus' attention. Grendel would be obtained through a quest.

    General Information

"Tainted, but not ruined, Grendel uses the Grineer's brutality to aid the Tenno cause."

    Grendel's abilities are:

Rocket Punch: Using the thrusters built into her right gauntlet, Grendel thrusts her fist forward with great speed to send even the toughest foe airborne. (Deals impact and blast damage with a guaranteed impact proc. When used mid-air, Grendel dashes forward slightly before thrusting her fist down to the ground, dealing blast damage in a radius around her. Not as effective as Zephyr's Divebomb.)

Oppression: Grendel lets out a fierce battlecry, significantly increasing the armour of her allies.

Seeking Swarm: Grendel releases a swarm of Latchers that seek out nearby enemies before sticking to them and detonating. (Deals blast damage, releases about 10 latchers at rank 3)

Bombardment: Taking to the skies using the jetpack built into her back, Grendel spins around and releases a violent storm of missiles. (Deals high blast damage across a region of 40 meters at rank 3)

    Stats (Base)

    Stamina: 100

    Shield: 80

    Power: 150

    Health: 150

    Armour: 250

    Random Notes

    Random notes:

-Her shoulderpad is a replaceable armour piece.
-Grendel used to be a Tenno. She was stolen by the Grineer from her cryopod and experimented upon by Tyl Regor.
-Grendel would be obtained through a quest that involves battling her at some point. The quest would consist of a Spy mission (Obtaining info about Grendel), Interception (Discovering her whereabouts), a mixture of Assassination and Capture (Battling and capturing Grendel) and a Defense (Defending Grendel whilst she is reprogrammed by the Lotus to remember her allegiance to the Tenno)
    -Feedback and suggestions are welcome!

All information here is subject to change as you guys give me input and suggestions!

  17. Okay, so I attempted to brighten up Seishin a bit with some input of a friend. Oddly enough he found that the white looked somewhat off. I did go on to make a few subtle tweaks, and this is the result.

    we7jQO2.png

We ALSO thought of something that works for Seishin's 4th ability. Which, I personally find better than both Ghost Munitions and Ethereal Whirlwind!

    4. Ethereal Evisceration

Seishin creates serrated ether-blades out of thin air, before making them rapidly swirl around herself like a tornado, making anything that comes into contact with it bleed profusely. Enemies are left in terror, panicking as a result of being eviscerated by the swarm of ether blades.

  18. Ok I want to like your frame idea but I don't think you quite understand hat ethereal means..ethereal means light and delicate. To best execute this ur gonna wanna lay off of these offensive abilities. To be ethereal is to be beyond this world or realm. So to execute that ud want to stick to utilities..her 1 becoming ethereal of course. Fading out of reality for a duration. Followed by maybe a aoe stun ability of maybe a 2 that involves ending your a 1 early to cause a huge stunning flash. Then possibly movement speed buff or something that would grasp her concept alittle better. A big thought when you think of ethereal are angels.. So for her color scheme ud wanna lighten up on the color scale. Some white and pink even? I really like your design and I think it itself could serve as an ethereal concept with the lighter colors.. I'd love to see this pursued and would serve as a fun and interesting new dimensional frame.

I wish this concept would have surfaced before limbo. That frame is a terrible concept similar to this idea. It was poorly executed and had a terrible design. I feel that this could go far with the right alterations and specs.

Thank you a lot for the feedback! I'll experiment with some colours for a second and maybe re-think some of her abilities. Of course, Ethereal means light and delicate, but I at least wanted at least one offensive ability in there. I guess I took that overboard a bit. From your suggestions, I can tell some of those have already been used by other Warframes. The movement speed buff is in use by Volt, fading out could be the same as Loki's Invisibility.

I get what you mean, I honestly do, but I -really- tried to keep the powers unique. Currently I am just gonna work on making her a bit brighter.
