You can invite them via the /invite command so I guess it's a UI bug

Sometimes when matchmaking fails to find an open squad, it will deselect your relic and put you in the voting stage.

And no, this is not a UI bug, I tried clicking "wait for players" and it started a mission without a relic equipped.

As you can see 6 emoji rows disappeared and I'm unable to scroll up to see them.

It can be fixed by sizing down the chat window for the scroll bar to reappear but it's still a bit annoying.

Crashes happen.

I don't think that they should give you anything for crashing, because it is possible to forces crashes and abuse such a system.
