This again? People? Search for like-minded threads, or you're all going to get merged and lost in the shuffle.

    So, just to be clear:

    This is entirely intentional.

The cost is in place to purposefully slow you down, make you grind, and do your dilligence.

It's absolutely supposed to make you think about, and plan, your Shard build before you install it. By the point that you have access to Shards, and enough of them to be 'creative', you know what these changes are going to do for your build, you can predict the result. You can be creative by theorising what the results will be and starting the build with more caution.

The way to prevent regrets is to think about things for longer before you just slap the resource on your frame and hope it works.

This isn't 'modding' the way you've been doing it for the entire game so far. This is, and I will go back to the idea that incepted this; a semi-permanent buff system that's independent of modding as a reward for going to higher level content.

    You're asking for creativity?

Nah, you're asking for freedom from the consequences of the oopsie you made by not being creative enough.

What a stupid attitude. Why would you defend such poor design decisions? Why would you defend DE at all? They have left bugs in the game from more than a decade ago, several different bugs that rob you of your mission completion and earned loot, matchmaking bugs, host bugs.... but REST ASSURED, if there's a bug where people are getting stuff they don't deserve, DE suddenly decides to stop ignoring the (no lie) MILLIONS of described bugs that they refuse to fix, and they leap in to prevent the plebs from getting a freebie.

You know, when people off the web decide they're going to white knight, all that does is embolden the devs to do less than they already do, if that's even possible.

  2. Can one of you coders from DE explain to me why touching the forcefield on the outside of plains of eidolon fails your "Kill 4 dargyn while airborne and not taking status damage" causes it to fail instantly?  Can you explain why flying by a building causes it to fail?

can't touch the ground - insta fail.

can't approach any building, rock, flagpole etc. - insta fail once within 10 feet.

Can you perhaps tell me why an achieve that has bug reports on it since 2016 is still unfixed?

Seems to me that if a bug is causing you guys money, you fix it immediately. But if a bug isn't in the newest frame or gun release, you seem to not care at all about resolving it?

  3. They do this garbage too in one of the index missions. It is super annoying and lame, and you have a 50% chance of ending up on that map. Nothing better than fighting guys who can 1 shot you at level 100 and you can't even see them until they are shooting you.

(Which, BTW, was reported to DE more than 9 months ago and they did nothing about. Great work, DE! - that's sarcasm.)

  4. I would like to know why mission objectives continuously do NOT do what they're supposed to in content that is now over 5 years old? What exactly do the devs do around there?

Also, why do people put up with it? NO BUG should be in existence for more than 6 months.

For instance, leaving any indoor area in Cetus or Vallis (like a cave or facility) and having your waypoint going to the next area direct you about 40 feet away from wherever you were when the overworld map loads. You move to that spot, usually in the air, because you're not going to walk 2500 m to the next objective are you? But the second you get about 40 feet from where you were, the UI moves the waypoint back to where you left the cave / building, forcing you to open the FULLSCREEN map to see where you really are going?!?!

Next example - you get a spot on the map telling you to go and kill bad guys in the circle until 1000 credits drop from them. You get a bonus for doing it with X seconds remaining. You move to the objective. There are no monsters. You wait. 30 seconds. NO MONSTERS. You fail objective because 4 monsters spawn in the area in 2 minutes.

Next example - usually found in the Search and Rescue objective from Cetus -  you are given a spot on the map to "clear and control". You show up and kill a few monsters and gain control of the objective.  Monsters spawn in. Some of them are under the ground and unreachable. They deplete your control bar as you cant hit them unless you were smart enough to know that DE can't code a bloody thing, so you bring an AE frame like volt or saryn to kill them underground.... but that's when you find out that when they die underground, the depletion of your control continues anyways!
