  1. I was just running Sanctuary Onslaught and in the middle of zone 16 I fell into a hole and started an infinite falling loop. I tried everything from attempting a wall-latch, rapidly hitting jump and trying to aim to connect with something as I'm sure most of you do. I even tried /unstuck but it just put me right back in the same place... helpful?!

Beyond feeling like crap for not being able to help my team, I continued to fall until enemy fire killed me (... still falling while dead) and upon respawn (which continued to blink as I spawned in and out of the fall) I was put back in the falling loop... how is this even a thing?

So, even though I had exhausted all of my options to rectify the situation, I was unable to reach the conduit and continue playing. I get the idea behind the 30 second timer and how it allows people to choose to opt out, sadly, however, it also forces glitched players to opt out as well. I think that is a bit unreasonable in the context of an endless challenge mode that the game's bugs present an unavoidable failure that can't even be salvaged by your team completing the zone.

I think there needs to be a better option for the falling loop, in general. It seems the infinite fall loop isn't going anywhere so, perhaps we can get a command to reset us somewhere stable such as on another player's position once every so many waves, rounds, etc in endless game modes, which would clearly (in these situations) be more valuable than unstuck.

In regards to "reaching" the Sanctuary Onslaught conduit, would it be possible to add a prompt to hold a button (hopefully separate to bind) for a few seconds to accept passage for those in such situations until a better glitch fix is created? I'd even be happy with typing /conduit if needs be, I just want to keep playing in spite of the bugs.

    Thank you for your time.

Ember's better than she's ever been, she actually does visible damage to Sortie 3 enemies now.  So what if the range is worse on WoF?  I always wanted it lower anyways.  Strength+Efficiency builds are great fun now.  Hell, even her 1 can put in work now.

I'll have whatever you are smoking please.

I disagree again. Ember with WOF + FQ's CC was amazing for any sorties with Infested at least! Blast damage knocks them over enough for you to burn them down with rifle fire. FQ gave you a 100% GUARANTEED knock down. I don't know about you, but that sounds useful in sortie missions - especially against mobs that need to get up close and personal i.e. infested

I ran this exact thing to help with UTILITY as a form of TEAM SUPPORT. It wasn't about my DAMAGE, it was about slowing down threats and giving us a chance to get up a fallen teammate or to slow the tide some.

Why did they take this away from us? I knew she was never very powerful but I loved the style of play I had and they have completely taken it away with this update.

  4. Was running today's New Loka MOBILE DEFENCE (Bountiful) on Lares, collected all of the Seeds and then went to first objective.

Protected Objective with ease but when it should have said objective complete and posted the next objective, nothing happened... Enemies kept spawning but there were no objectives, no datamass to carry and no marker for the extraction. Despite this, I played for a bit and hoped it would catch up but it never did. So, I found the extraction room and went to it but it didn't end the mission either.

I know I did not fail, the mission was incredibly easy and the enemies were dying from any contact I made with them.

This is a screenshot of my seeds and demonstrating that I had not failed the mission.
    http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=960310288

After it became apparent there was no way to end the mission through regular means, I tried crashing Warframe to see if it would allow me to reconnect to the game when I restarted in hopes that it would self-correct but it did not, nor did it give me my missing rewards via inbox.

    I hope this was helpful.

"Don't use it" doesn't particularly solve the issue of the playstyle Vacuum promotes (I have enough of most resources so tend to use my Kavat more nowadays). Getting rid of it would have ended up forcing people to play more as a team, or miss out on drops (you know, the way it was before everyone had a Carrier), since just running around Vacuuming all the loot the hallway heroes generated wouldn't have been an option anymore. While it certainly wouldn't solve all the related issues it'd at least have been a step in the right direction. But whatever I guess...

Nah man, it works exactly the opposite. The speedrunners dont need resources so they dont even bother with carrier and dont afford the other players enough time to even get loot so, with carrier, atleast new players or those that want resources and play as a team, have time to get some stuff before the timer runs to 0.

  6. I am so happy with this change. It gives me the option to use vacuum when I see fit and not have to have it on screwing with my life support or orbs when using Necros, etc. The passive was too small a range and really hampered certain builds. This change allows everyone to make a build that suits them and doesn't weaken Carrier's already existing builds.

    This Tenno thanks you!

Preferred the 6m passive tbh, seemed way enough from the few missions I ran.

Or just get rid of the Vacuum effect entirely. Now I need to either revert Carrier back to how it was or muck up my build to fit in the "new" Vacuum mod (if I don' t want to dich the new precept) Annoying.

Anyway, this seems like a step back in the wrong direction. Might as well not have touched Vacuum.

I wholeheartedly disagree. I think they made the best choice for most players. If you don't like Vacuum, don't use it!

    Fixes:

    • Fixed players in the same mission not always given the same rewards at End of Mission, such as Spy, Derelict Vaults, choices in Void Fissure mission.

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  9. Just had this happen several times while running relics tonight with my friends. The weirdest part? I didn't see the reward from MY radiant relic that the other 2 were able to choose. So, even though I boosted my relic and I was the only one that did, I wasn't able to choose the reward I worked to get. :(

It's really frustrating and it makes the entire fissure/relic ordeal so much more unappealing with the already hateful RNG and the whole group needing to expend relics just to get a random reward regardless of the relics contributed. The Boar, Mag and Dual Kamas parts Ive missed out on just tonight is bad enough but when you add all of the void trace and relics to it, it stings a fair bit more.

This should be corrected as soon as possible and it would be nice if the rewards lost because of this were issued to those effected.

So uh, how about reverting losing items during hotfixes again? As of SoTR i've now starte dlosing items and loot when extracting while hotfixing is happening unlike pre update/patch. Fix this?

Also, how about fixing the melee weapon placements when holstered? Like how alls cythes hover on the side of your arm now or maybe fix how we can't choose which version of a node we want to do anymore? Worked fine with the last starmap.

By the way, how about also fixing, losing the goddamn fragments UPON DEATH?

So, uh, how about taking a breath and being more clear and polite instead of just sarcastically spewing "how about this? or how about that?" You might have noticed some things that need to be looked at (there are a lot of bugs atm) but the way you are relaying it, isn't productive.

You #*($%%@ up my Interception Sortie Mission for this S#&$? "Rebalancing Frost Specter" SO GREAT!

You should probably take something for that. You seem really upset, as if they did this TO YOU. The rest of us are playing with bugs and DE are doing their best to get to them. The whole point of the OP was to let us know they are being addressed as soon as possible.

Furthermore, what was even the point of your post? It didn't help isolate a problem, It doesn't appear to clarify as to which bug or trouble you are having beyond something about your mission being messed up (no clarification as to how) and you felt the need to swear over that? Then you finish with a sarcastic "SO GREAT!"

Did you just spew this trash to vent? Some people use diaries for that or talk to their friends.

While I would normally feel sympathy that you are upset over something, you are making it kinda difficult.

    A) This is a f2p video game just after a huge update so the bugs are likely going to be huge,
    B) This is Warframe so, again, there will be lots of bugs cause there was an update (DE I love you all but it's true haha)
    C) You aren't even adding anything constructive with this post because it doesn't offer any clear insight into your issue.
    D) You seem like you are really taking this all too seriously. I want you to know this isn't meant to be trolling or anything, I just think that you should consider relaxing a bit, maybe watch an episode of something funny or play something else for a few days and wait on some updates if this upsets you so much.

You are, of course, free to do as you wish and your opinions (whatever they may actually be) are yours to have but I'm hoping that you'll reconsider future posts of this nature because they truly add nothing positive for you or the community at large.

    Be well.

Hi, could you please take a look at this now ?

Also, could you bring back the old system where we were able to choose, on a given node, between doing the "normal" mission and doing the alert/invasion/syndicate mission (and i'll add void fissure to it) of the node ? ATM if there's an alert/invasion/Etc. going on there's no way to choose the vanilla mission.

Also², please bring back the confirm prompt before starting a mission on solo matchmaking.

Oh, and if you take a look at the camera settings in the archwing missions, because right now it's way too close to the character.

    Thanks.

See? This individual knows how to provide feedback. I can tell exactly what their issues are (I agree 100%) and they even used the words "please" and "thanks." This type of post is so much better for everyone involved. DE can tell what needs to be fixed without having to sift through insult or sarcasm to discern what the issue is.

  11. Artificial difficulty is not fun.

Reading posts where people whine but offer nothing constructive to improve is no fun either. Please, just go play something else for a while until they make more content that meets "your" standards. The rest of us will keep playing in the meantime.

    Have fun!

  12. I did everything on your list and it's still too easy.

    Lies,

I can assure you didn't or you'd be the most popular Warframe video on youtube with your "I AM GOD cause I Soloed to Wave 80 on Xini starting with lvl 1 Mag and only used a lvl 1 Skana" video.

Why are you trolling? We are trying to help make the game more enjoyable for people, if you don't have anything to "actually" add to the dialogue please just leave us be.

  13.

I respect your point, this game should never be made for one person only. What I am actually unhappy (not raging, not crying, not mad, just slightly unhappy) is lack of end game content with rewards. Defense is just content no rewards. Large number of useles mods is not a good reward.

Here, I would like to point out that warframe is not the only game in existence, no offense intended. While I can use my imagination to make warframe harder to suit my sense of difficulty, I will only do so if I really really love warframe and no other game. That might be the case with some players here, and I respect their love for warframe but thats certainly not a case with me. There are games which provide genuine difficulty without limiting myself artificially, but sadly all of them are either offline single player, or online PvP.

The only way outside of warframe to be in a cooperative PvE and still provide difficulty, have LOTS and LOTS of grinding involved. Grinding for mods in warframe is NOTHING compared to that, and that is why I love warframe more than any other PvE. Less grinding is more fun for me, no exceptions.

Lastly, I dont rush because I am afraid, I rush because enemies are weak and repetitive. I know that I can kill them anytime I want, but most likely I will get nothing, or some stupid magazine warp reward at most. Thats why I ignore them, unless they cannot be ignored (exterminate/defense).

Sounds to me like you need more content and more powerful enemies but even then, you want rewards that would only make you more powerful and, subsequently, the issue with challenge rears its head again quite soon... Do you see where I am going here?

I feel bad saying this but your specific needs are a tad unrealistic to meet currently and from a development standpoint in general. This is especially true at this stage in a game's development.

I say this because, as you've stated, you are clearly not invested enough to "artificially" limit yourself to further enjoy this game (in its current incarnation) over other titles but somehow 'need' more content 'right now' because other titles don't provide you with what you want (co-op, etc) either.

In short, it seems that you are saying that you've 'outplayed' the game the way you are 'willing to play it' and while that is your prerogative, it likely means you are going to have to return when more content is added (much like many MMO players do).

Right now, there are a myriad of fixes that need to be attended to and the HUGE update 8 coming in a few weeks which will be adding tons of new content.   Beyond that, we know that DE are concerned about end-game (as any good dev team should be) and are taking steps to address it as they go forward.

The best advice I can give you from one gamer to another, is to either adapt your play-style or wait it out on another game while bringing good ideas forward here on the forums.

All in all, patience is key!

  14. People keep making these complaints and I know that many of us are just brushing them off because we understand that more content will be coming and there are ways to make the game more challenging at present. Unfortunately, some people appear to lack the patience or the imagination to self-moderate difficulty in a game and I feel for them, sincerely.

In an attempt to lengthen their enjoyment of the game while they await "new, harder" content, I created this topic as a venue for the rest of us to offer "positive and interesting" suggestions to those who need "MOAR HARD NAO!!!" haha

I posted a response in another topic detailing what I thought would be some good suggestions to improve the game and to make it more challenging in the meantime. That topic can be found here:

    https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/45769-game-difficulty-far-too-easy/?p=478557

I am re-posting the entire reply below and creating this NEW topic in hopes of creating a better dialogue and reaching the objective mentioned above. I only included the entire post because I feel it may garner more interest from those who are responding to THIS topic (and its intent) as opposed to the other.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This post is going to be long but I do believe it will be worth the read, please consider my suggestions as born from someone who loves the game and wants it to succeed in the long-term, much like I believe many others do.

First, this game is in constant development and more content will come, we do need to be a little more patient with DE as they are implementing changes (even if some of it is arguably confusing and rage-inducing) almost every 2 weeks, at this point.

Also, try and consider that the game isn't only to be played by "YOU." While that may seem rude, it isn't intended to be, I'm merely stating that, if this game is going to continue to grow, this "minority" of the "vocal" community needs to stop griefing about the game being too "easy." This thread of discussion simply is alienating the new player base who are meeting far more challenge than anyone previous has. Want some examples? The latest update just made acquisition of new weapons considerably rough and painstakingly long and the mod drop rates for many of the "good" mods are laughable now in comparison to when the game went live on Steam, for instance.

My advice would be to offer some "reasonable" ways to make the content more challenging for advanced players without asking for them to be completely catered to "your" preference as an 'end-game' player.

Consider what the "community" would benefit most from and make suggestions along those lines.

I am going to attempt to do that now and I would love to see what your respective responses and input are to this.

    So, here goes:

I would ascertain from my playtime (which is rather considerable) that we need more reason to explore content (instead of just rushing), more enemies with differing powers (especially in regards to bosses and also the stagger/knockdown mechanics) and a difficulty setting (managed by the lobby host for private/invite-only games, at the very least) that scales the enemies (and rewards) on 3 tiers:

    1. Normal [Novice] which would be the same as it is now,

    2. Hard [Tenno] Which could include enemy damage-type resistances and increased enemy damage output along with additional mission objectives (ie. 8 Data Terminals, 3 Captures, 4 Reactors, etc   and resistances could improve as waves increase on defense, etc)

    3. Expert [Master] which would have all the extras of Tenno difficulty with considerably more enemies and NO REVIVES.

The above options would allow the entire game's content to get more play value and more user-specific catering without damning anyone else. You can simply use these options or not, the game would be yours to enjoy how you see fit. The above, while needing some considerations and balancing for implementation is a "community-based" option that isn't hostile to anyone. These are the types of suggestions that we NEED. Not because it is mine, because it is driven by perspective and desire to make the game better for "ALL."

Now, In regards to the game being "easy" at present...

If you would like the game to be more difficult in the meantime, I can make some suggestions that I think would allow you to get some challenge:

    1) STOP RUSHING (if you aren't afraid to fight, don't run)

    2) Use a NEW frame, with NEW weapons and NO catalysts or reactors
    3) Challenge yourself by finishing high-level missions with suggestions 1 and 2

    4) Stop using your powers to bail yourself out of jams (See 3)

    5) Play solo defense
    6) Play higher-level defense with combinations of the above

People have been replaying titles with no new content as melee only, time-trials, no upgrades, no saves, no heals, etc for YEARS... I find it impossible to believe there are people who have played this game "to the fullest."

If you want a challenge, use your imagination!

If you want the game to be better in the future, create some positive, community-aimed suggestions and/or dialogue to improve the game going forward.

TL:DR -  YOU SHOULD HAVE READ THIS!

TL:DR -  YOU SHOULD HAVE READ THIS!

  16. I'd like to preface this by saying I love this game, I really do. To the point where I've browbeaten my friends to start playing. Almost fanatically singing it's praises. What can I say? I really enjoy it.

But there are parts of this update that really bother me.

First off the Iron Skin thing...it's brutal. The only thing that made Rhino playable is now gone. And that saddens me greatly. I could handle always being slow and clunky because I new I had that ace up my sleeve; that at the push of a button I could become the Angel of Death fearing nothing. I could wade through enemies to revive fallen teammates or run into a crowd to draw fire. But...alas, I can no longer do these things. I have to worry about poison, Disruptors, knock-back and getting chipped to death. I fear I'll have to pack my Rhino frame up never to be used again. He deserved better than this unceremonious relegation into obsoleteness. Though, he shall always be remembered fondly.

Secondly, I think more importantly, the increased cost of getting new weapons is problematic. I'm not sure that the change over to blueprints is new player friendly. It might create an unnecessary obstacle in the early advancement of new players. I know, for me personally, first thing I want to do when I start playing a new game is try out as many guns as I can to find what works for me. And...if other players are like me, they might find having to wait to farm materials and the forge new weapons a bit daunting. Or perhaps not even worth their time. But then again, what do I know? You guys have a lot more experience with this stuff than I do, I could be completely wrong.

On a final note, I would like to thank you, the staff of DE for being so cool. Being so involved in the community and giving us a chance to voice our opinions. I know a lot of it comes off as whining...and...some of it is...I even did some here...but the fact you guys take the time to interact with players is so very cool. It isn't like most forums where you maybe might get an answer if the planets align just right as the clock strikes midnight. And that is the coolest thing. I'd also like to thank you for the dedicated hard work you do to make improvements to the game. I've never seen a company address problems so quickly. Especially in a free-to-play game. It's simply remarkable. I don't always agree with what you do, but I know that you have our best interest at heart. But seriously, please “unfix” Rhino.

    Thanks.

^This guy is full of class and, thus, also WIN!

    I agree wholeheartedly with you.

  17.

    ADDITONS:

New Warframe: VAUBAN - The combat engineer!

Are you a crafty Ninja? Then this is the warframe for you. The highly tactical VAUBAN uses his powers to create deadly traps that can zap, imprison and dimensionally crush enemies!

Get him today in the Market with Platinum, OR purchase the Blueprint and await the drop of his components from "?" Alerts!

New Frame looks awesome, can't wait to try it out!

However my favourite part of this update is...

    • Added "Invite Only" matchmaking mode. Session can only be joined if host has directly sent an invite to client.

^THIS MAD ME SO HAPPY!  Thank you guys so much for listening!

  18. I think another way to improve this mod would be to make it a sentinel mod instead of a frame mod. Your idea is very good for increasing it's functionality though.

Especially as I can't find enough mods for my sentinel to fill all of the slots anyhow!
