  1. So I have a perfectly good XP system that ran warframe pre U15 and you guys are telling me to purchase windows 7, reformat my pc install all my programs just to play a game that it already worked on before? Good logic!

Erh... you do realize Microsoft ended support for Win XP in April? Any XP machine is now fair game for any hacker in the world to completely dismantle its security as it starts becoming dated without updates and get ALL your things.

I'd sooner start bugging DE to start devving for Linux.

They are working on it and the update was only two weeks ago.

Edit: 1/20 people are using xp btw.

I am not sure I should be happy or terrified that (only) 1/20 people are cheap to the point that they willingly endanger every bit of data on their machine.

Also, I did a clean install of my windows 2 weeks ago. You realy don't have to download and install EVERYTHING.

See this: http://lifehacker.com/5983652/how-to-do-a-clean-install-of-windows-without-losing-your-files-settings-and-tweaks Step 4 is the most crucial of what you need, and you may skip the registry copy.

You don't even have to redownload any of your games. Almost all launchers now do a search of their directories before they start downloading. Only thing you need to do is copy your downloaded game files from wherever you installed warframe: ..\Downloaded\Public\Cache.Windows and copy the launcher executable.

On a clean install you then just start the launcher, it proceeds to create file paths and associations. Just pause the download , close the launcher and paste the contents of the Cache.Windows folder you have copied into the new Cache.Windows the launcher created in your machine. Restart launcher. BAM Warframe installed without hours upon hours of download.

And this applies to a vast range of programs.

  2. (the ending experesses my exact sentiment when that happens)

    That being said,

    BUG TRACKER!

    BUG TRACKER!

    BUG TRACKER!

    BUG TRACKER!

    BUG TRACKER!

    BUG TRACKER!

These things should become industry standard, realy. Not harping at you guys specificaly. I love these things. No need to sort through whine posts, they have keyword search, incidence, timestamps, forms that force the user to separate the when the what and the how, the whole shebang!

  3. Can confirm, tried doing excavations today on my new update-inspection character, Cambria - always freeze crash. If I had to make a guess, It's a memory leak (someone just went "yeah, durr, thaanks for being soo specific"), because from 6 runs I tried, timing was inconsistent. I did 4 of those with a fresh Latron and it always happened after ranking it a little past first level, so I assume it's either drops fill the memory or some data on killed enemies that should be dumped aren't. Will keep trying and update the post if I find something peculiar.

We realy need some in-game bug report system. Or maybe somehing like Dwarf Fortress' Mantis bug tracker, so we could bump existing entires and comment with additional info. Forums aren't the best thing for user bug reporting in my experience.

  4. I presume you are a fellow SOLO enthusiast. Yeah, the interception could use a slight rework so that there is only one terminal and you can also speed hack said terminal just like the enemies can. In a cell, this problem evaporates, but multitasking 2-3 towers so you have an edge in case shenanigans happen is borderline insane even with nice gear.

I am afraid interceptions might need to also be moved outta the way, because Mars has one blocking Nef Anyo, and even with lower difficulty setting of the first wave, it's not so great and for less skilled SOLOers new to the game might prove frustratingly impossible. I might have to create ANOTHER character for this update to check up on the difficulty curve for newbies since there appear to have been some changes made on the nodes that are first unlocked for new planets as well.

  5. We already know from their first implementation on Earth how horrid they can be to Solo, unfortunately now, at least on Mercury, for which I rolled a new character, it completely blocks off three other missions because I find it impossible to complete.

Sure, you might say, go in with a team! First of all, why do I HAVE to have a team to progress in the game? Why even have solo mode then? Not to mention, now to progress you need to be a host anyways and with my 256 kb upstream, that aint gonna happen anytime soon.

I can solo every other type of mission perfectly fine, yet with a new character, on bloody Mercury, I am getting my sorry derriere handed to me, burning up revives. For now I have simply given up going to Venus since my character simply isn't beefy enough to take the jump from L5 Grineer to L9 Corpus and I have been relegated to slowly farming Apollondorus.

Here is a video for you to illustrate a few problems:
