Is the reward for this event in any way tied to participation? Also is the reward something we will keep or still have access to after the optional reset that has not been made an option yet? It's not clear whether its some kind of global reward or exclusive item or anything. But it would suck for those of us still waiting for the optional reset to miss out on whatever it is.

Since we are up to 7.9.0 already, is update 8 soon? I always find it counter-intuitive when version numbers are written in decimal notation and do not follow decimal rules, in that 7.10 is technically the same as 7.1. After 7.9 should come 8.0 if you are going through version numbers in a way that makes sense to most people.
Its not something that actually matters, I just have always found it odd as hell. I probably wouldn't even care at all if people just wrote them with dashes or slashes or any other kind of notation besides a decimal point. But I guess I am just weird like that.

Is there a timeframe yet on the optional reset? Is that going to come before or after Update 8?

Any ideas on what changes you'll be making to the Founders' Excalibur Prime to differenciate it from the standard one?
They don't need to? Its a different skin, it already looks different, mission accomplished. If there were any gameplay significant changes then people would rightfully complain about not having access to it some other way.

Very likely but you may want to wait until Update 8 Rise of the Warlords goes in. But that will be your call. One-time only though. :)
With an update name like Rise of the Warlords, I hope that means Update 8 will have some love for the bosses in each system. The name just sounds like a 'Lets improve the bosses' patch and that would be awesome in my book.
Any particular reason, if you are allowed to mention it yet, that you recommend we wait until Update 8 to reset our accounts?

They should get someone to cosplay as Excalibur iin front of the booth. That would probably draw some attention :D
They should have had Rebecca cosplay as Lotus and keep telling people that somethings wrong, a heavy unit is approaching.

Glad to see you will be there, more marketing is a good thing. Unfortunately money, timing, and location keep me from going to PAX East myself. Though I do hope to make it to PAX Prime in Seattle this year, last time I went was in 2009 and every year I have gone PAX has been amazing.
Is there going to be any sort of redeemable codes handed out at PAX East? Even if its just beta keys, swag is an excellent way to entice people to check the game out when they get home. and a great bonus for people already fans of the game if they get something exclusive out of showing up. Some people think its not fair to people that can't go, but its usually something cosmetic for most games.

It would have been cool if the skins were different weapons entirely instead. Anywayz, I am looking forward to update 7!
I actually think some of the other weapons could stand to become skins instead of separate items, particularly the swords. Cronus is a direct upgrade over Scindo that you get early, so thats cool, but things like the Pangolin Sword and Jaw Sword aren't distinctly different enough and should be skins for Cronus.

Just kidding, nice move making both variants available (even if it's only for a short time). Anyway, back to topic:Lato Prime still can't use Lato mods. ;)
I hope it doesn't go away completely, because in the future other people may want these colors and would pay Platinum for them, but giving them to us for 1 credit right now is a nice compromise for the changes that happen in betas.

So with the color pickers, are we going to get more limited edition holiday ones like the Valentine's Day one? Greens for St. Patricks Day, pastels for Easter, Red, white, and blue for July 4th, etc? Or more stuff like Ice that will be available permanently?

I would totally buy a color palette of metallic colors like the ones used on the Vandal.

I never should have mentioned the forsaken P-word.. sigh... I've learned my lesson, I'm sorry guys.
There are two things I have learned on these forums that if you mention them, people will jump down your throat about it with a kneejerk reaction without even reading or acknowledging your entire post. PvP and Wipes. There has been plenty said on both sides of these issues that the Devs know enough to decide what they feel is best for the game, that its best at this point to sit back and see what they do before commenting any further on them.

If they ever do add PvP, no ones making you play it. And if it brings in more money to Digital Extremes and helps the longevity of Warframe as a game and business model, well that PvP just helped you by funding your PvE.
Why is it that so many PvE fans get &!$$ed off and angry at the prospect of PvP in their PvE game? I never saw TF2 players complain when they added co-op PvE to it's previously entirely competitive game. Those that didn't like it simply ignored it and kept on playing what they've been playing. Any complaints that were lodged at it were from those that desired the cosmetic items from it, not from the fact that it was added in the first place, but thats a business model problem not a gameplay problem.

They should make it so that only you (the nyx doing the mind controlling) can kill the mind controlled unit. Stupid team mates are too busy spraying away at everything and anything they see :|
They should put it back to being immune to teammate fire, but also make it blatantly obvious that they aren't doing any damage even if they have to make the word Immune come flying off the target like damage numbers normally would. Previous to this patch there have been times where teammates would empty an entire clip into some elite I mind controlled without even realizing they were doing nothing to it, and not just one person, but all my teammates, standing there wasting ammo.
However now, no one has the sense to prioritize targets that aren't mind controlled. Its possible the graphic is too similar to Trinity's Well of Life and they think they are going to get health from it? But its annoying to mind control something and just have your teammate kill it right away anyways despite having a bunch of other targets around.

nice updates! nervos are the rolling stun grenades used by the grineer seekers.
also, do power range mods effect the number of targets during bladestorm? if not, i think it should.
I would think Power Duration mods would make more sense for that.

Can no longer use Switch Teleport or Pull on teammates standing in mission extraction zone.
Could you also make it so people in the mission extraction zone cannot use those skills on other players? I hate it when I want to loot the upper floor of the normal extraction room and some impatient Mag pulls me to finish the mission.

Its up, and the Braton Vandal is exactly what I was hoping it would be stat-wise. Slightly lower fire-rate with increased damage over the standard Braton.
Instead of 16 damage 15 fire rate, the Vandal is 20 damage 12.5 fire rate.

There has been mention before of offering CBT players an optional reset at the end of CBT for those that wish to spend their platinum on things they like instead of for testing purposes, or for those that wish to experience the content progression again after all the changes that have happened throughout the beta.
How will that affect things like that OB Weekend exclusive gun or the CBT exclusive reward? I would hope exclusives will at least be flagged to stay in our inventory if we choose to wipe, whether or not their levels stay we would want to keep the items that are no longer acquireable once true Open Beta starts.
Also that Braton Vandal model is fantastic looking.
