Just failed my MR25 test after passing it during the practice run because the unstuck command has a cooldown... WHY? I accidentally grabbed the launcher when backpeddaling and I didn't jump for it and the cooldown on the unstuck command made me time out.

Instead of unstuck, I just melee out and then grab another if I accidentally grab without jumping. It's really annoying and adds difficulty to the test, but not unbeatable.

  2. Game updated. Wanted to advance "Operational Supply" standing before logging off. Was able to do so. But now I can't exit without "pick one" on the rewards, and can't pick one without exiting to restart.

I dunno about you but after each "memory" I was given a new ability and a floating text that told me which button to press.  There is a mouse button ability (the laser type thing), the melee attack one (void blast) and crouch. Combine crouch with spacebar (jump) creates a void dash.  All the new abilities were used during the quest for one reason or another with pretty explicit instructions (again, for me at least) about how to use them.

    Anyway good luck.

The floating text in the earlier sections said "Use Crouch LCtrl" and "Use Dash LCtrl + Space" indicating the need for new abilities. This one just said "Use Void Blast" with no key, thus implying I know what Void Blast is and it's not a new ability.

To be clear, you step off solid ground, it races for you, jumps into the air, you hit E to stun it, hit 5 (tap) to enter it. Then crouch to burrow.  You don't have to kill it or anything and it only remains stunned for a second or two then burrows again and jumps for you.  I spent about a minute or two just stunning it over and over for the heck of it.

E? Not the fire button that was literally my only offense/energy transfer power thus far? Great. Secret keys.

Well if I ever play this game again perhaps I'll remember that. Thanks.

  5. Apparently Raptr didn't make it to Windows 10. I could probably find something else to install, but to be honest when installing software is more fun than playing a game it's enough to make me reprioritize what I'm doing. Thanks anyway for the interest in helping.

Still scratching my head on stuff like "I don't want to do Sedona Junction" and "The War within is Hard"... It suppose to be a trial... suppose to be hard? It's not impossible? Majority of us has done and finish with it ease... Yeah I understand some complaints about the stuff after TWW, but over all it was hella fun and a positive experience... I wish things was more challenging... failure is the mother of success...

Hard isn't the issue.  I mean there's a case to be made about appropriate difficulty for required content vs optional, but that's not what's at hand here. I don't mind a hard fight. Most of the content in this game is too easy and gets repeated not because it needs to be learned but because clumsy reward mechanics require grinding.

No, the problem here is that the activities they're now forcing on us are a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAME. Maybe you like both. That's fine. But a lot of people don't. And the more random stuff they add, the more likely it is you'll be forced to do stuff you don't find entertaining. Even you, I doubt you're such a blind fan you'd sit there playing games of backgammon or alphabetizing lists. Or would you?

Honestly, ask yourself first, what is a Warframe? The name itself already implies that it's a 'Frame' used for war, right? And that means, there must be someone controlling it. So this is DE's way of building up a beta game into a game that has actual storylines that make sense.

They can make whatever story they want. Publish a feature-length film for all I care. Just don't make me stand on secret buttons, fly space invader style, or crawl through a cave dying 800 times because they didn't adequately explain the rules. (Or zero times. I don't want to crawl through caves at all.)

Frankly, your justification works better against you. If Frame is such a critical part, don't take my muther@(*()$ frame away and act like it's the same game.

  7. It's bad design from before it even began.

Warframe is a game about space ninjas. Fast active combat, flipping and shooting and stabbing. It's fun and that's what brought a lot of people in. And yet they keep making us do crap that isn't any of that. Archwing is a different game. Figuring out secret button combos in random Lua rooms is a different game.  Why is that crap in a space ninja game?

The only thing I can think of is that they're so arrogant that they can't conceive of saying "no" to an idea. Like they thought of it so obviously everyone will want to do it. But then we don't want to... so they make it mandatory.

I don't want to search for random rooms and trial and error my way through whatever secret they thought was so awesome I needed to experience it. Maybe others find that fun, but to me it's a chore and I don't play games for chores. Archwing is the same way. And I know a lot of people dislike the hacker minigames, which is why ciphers are needed to skip those.

Basically DE, you made a good game. And then you keep blocking it with other games that aren't as good, and dumping people in missions with no idea what to do because it makes you feel clever. Stop it.

  8. Question for the devs: Do you guys just like hate your jobs or something?

I'm just trying to understand. You were hired to make a Space Ninja Combat game, and it's pretty fun. But then I guess the boss wasn't looking one day so you figured "Finally, I can make that Astroids game I really wanted!" And that's how we got Archwing.

And then the boss went on vacation or something so someone said "Sweet, time to make a 3d platformer!" And now secret bonus rooms on Lua are @(*()$ mandatory.

Is that why this is called "The War Within"? Because inside the company you're fighting against your job descriptions?

This sucks. I'm really pissed that I have to waste time standing on random platforms on Lua just to partake in a little combat. I've never seen any development studio make it so hard for their customers to do the thing they installed the game to do.

  9. I had someone mention this to me the other day and now I just experienced it firsthand.

I join an open squad for an alert. We get the lissets loading screen.  We quickly load in, and then I'm given a connect error and load back out to my lisset. The alert has now disappeared from the map.

In my case it was just a Forma BP, which I don't particularly need anyway.  But this will be a big problem for people who actually need the alert rewards.

  10. We have here a combination of problems:

    1) New spawns are, for whatever reason, too inconsistent or slow to let an average player on a non-Nekros frame get enough Life Support drops to survive 10 minutes.

With a little luck they can get by on the large Life Support capsules, but will be living very close to the edge.

    2) If life support runs out before the extraction appears, the timer stops permanently.  It will never appear even if they manage to survive on 5hp for 10+ actual minutes.  No extraction will ever be possible, nor will the game tell you this in any way.

    3) Survival missions are in the Syndicate Mission rotation, which are a significant part of daily rewards thanks to the lowering of the bonus cap.

As a result we are largely screwed.  It shouldn't be that difficult to accomplish something which is supposed to be daily routine.  (Especially if we're checking every corner for Medallions during those survivals.)

At least one of the above is in error and has to change. If you're not going to spawn enemies faster or drop with higher frequency, you could at least take the step that 1 person uses oxygen more slowly than 4.

  11. Now that standing is more dependent on syndicate missions, and hive runs remain in that mission pool, you're requiring us to complete un-completable missions.

I just ran the New Loka hive mission twice, both times coming to a dead end when 5/5 tumors were destroyed but the hive was still invulnerable. This has been a problem for far too long.  It's bad enough we have to squeeze through narrow corridors of infinite respawn looking for small destructible decorations that blend in to the background and don't show up on enemy radar.  You could at least make the thing possible.

  12. Here's what seems to have happened. Spy missions are still in the Alert rotation, but they're not connected to the new mission type. So what you get instead is random.  This randomness includes the old-school spy mission, which came up for me on the Vallis (Mars) nightmare alert a few hours ago. Or the destroy type, which I just completed on Ceres.

Or what can happen is that it creates a mission type it can't fulfill, like a Capture mission without the target.  In that case it seems the only choice is to abort and maybe restart, hoping for a better type.

DE you need to remove spy missions from the alert rotation short-term, and consider if you want them to exist with the new structure in the long run.
