  1. Don't bother forma-ing or catalyst-ing it. They are just going to make it utterly worthless, like everything else they nerf. It's better to pick a middle-of-the-road weapon and stick with it and hope it never gets noticed by anyone (I fear the Quanta is on the road to ruin now that everyone is playing with the Vandal), or just jump on the Soma/Boltor Prime bandwagon, since those are the only two immune to nerfs.

  2. Like every developer, instead of balancing something that is perceived "too good" they take a god damn steamroller to it instead of slight tweaks. Meanwhile the dozens and dozens of worthlessly weak guns are still that; people have simply shifted down a peg on the tier list of secondaries.

  3. Everything about it sucks ***. I can't name one single thing I like; you name it, I hate it. Combat sucks because everything is tiny until it's in your face and the weapons are all too similar. No Warframe powers, so everyone is pretty much the same, which makes it feel like a generic space shooter. Movement sucks because maps are ****ing pointlessly massive with very little action, and there is no true 3D movement (no flips). Droprates are terrible. Leveling gear is terribly slow. Mods are extremely underwhelming (Rank 10 rare mod for 30% power efficiency are  you ****ing kidding me). What little content there is are the most boring modes in the game on blatantly copy-pasted maps. Even the HUD is terrible; Archwing has one of the worst reticles I've ever seen in a game, ever.

    I guess one nice thing is that drops automatically pull to you, but that wouldn't even be necessary if the maps weren't big empty masses!

  4. This Tactical Alert is just like the last few ones, the Capture and Hijack ones coming to mind.

    It seems like hell, straight up impossible and unfair until you hit that sweet combination of teamwork and squad composition that makes it a breeze.

    Except the "sweet combination" is the same ol' Loki+Nova combo. Not saying others can't do it, but I was Loki with Irradiating Disarm and we had a slow Nova and it was a piece of cake. Much like the entire game with those two.

  5. If you can't find anything in the patchnote, there's no nerf. Simple.

    Those are hard to drop, and are meant to.

    Their addition to the gamemode wasn't even in the patchnotes, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were hidden droprate nerfs happening all the time.

    That being said, these event mods seem to still be dropping pretty often for me.

  6. Gammacor not the strongest pistol in the game, OP knows it and DE knows it too.

    Yeah, its the strongest gun, period. I love the thing, but trying to deny it isn't the best gun is silly. You can shout "B-b-b-but teh Brakk!" all you want; the odds of consistently hitting all of the Brakk's pellets vs hitting a target with a 100% accurate beam isn't even comparable.

    I don't think the Synoid needs a nerf. The currently-primed sidearms need a massive buff. All of them are worse than the syndicate weapons (except lolRakta).

  7. Yeah, I mean, Bombards just have insanely high amount of defenses/health which is not weak to the average element weakness of the Void, and can burstfire a homing rocket launcher that can chain-stun you to death, not to mention he floors you if you get near him, which is instant death as well.

    No big deal, except, you know, all of those factors are pretty damn insane for a relatively common enemy. Hell, a single T4 Bombard poses more of a threat than most starchart bosses. The Nullifiers are annoying and they have waaaaay too powerful of a gun for such a defensive frame, but their bubbles can usually be dealt with before you even see the Nullifier as long as you have punch-through, but the Bombards are on a whole 'nother level of stupid. Only a few frames, like Limbo or Loki, can even deal with a pair of Bombards, much less a crowd of them.

  8. Tempest Barrage should at least try to target enemies. I was messing around as Hydroid with a Limbo in T3 defense and I can count on one hand the number of times Tempest Barrage actually hit something, much less knocked it down. I rather like its short duration, allows me to re-position it more often, but the suggestion that you should be able to cast another while it's in effect is nice as well.

    Honestly, the puddle isn't so good. Its funny but it works against all his other abilities. I'd rather Hydroid spill a trap of water under him that he can toggle off, allowing you to trap enemies while still being active in combat. It's really not fun to just sit in a puddle doing nothing while the action happens around you, and he already has an escape move in Tidal Surge.

  9. I'm fine with primes being absolutely superior, it gives the playerbase as a whole something to work towards. The biggest issue I have is using catalyst/reactors/formas in non-primed gear feels like a waste. You know eventually your weapon will be completely outclassed by a prime version; and sure, this might sell more catalysts and reactors, but on the flipside, people will invest a lot less catalysts, reactors, and slots because of the quick releases of better gear. I personally stopped putting catalysts into anything that isn't prime, syndicate, or clantech, which really limits my options of usable weapons, which means I experiment less, which means I use less catalysts, which means I need less weapon slots. The current system encourages players to invest in a single piece of prime gear (usually the Boltor Prime) and never purchase more weapon slots/catalysts.

    There is one simple change to primes that I would implement to fix this issue: When crafting a primed item, the foundry will ask for an optional inclusion of the original, be it a weapon or frame, and if selected the prime will be built with all the bells and whistles copied over, and you'll be able to reapply any polarities you'd like (as some primes have replacement/additional polarities) but left at rank 1, at the cost of the original gun. Additionally, when a catalyst/forma'd primed secondary is included, such as Bronco Prime, in the creation of the "Ak" version, this also copies over any existing catalyst and forma, or you could include the original Akbronco, if you've invested catalyst/forma into it.

    So, for example, you invested four forma (V,V,V,-- polarites) and a catalyst into the Hek, and Hek Prime comes out. You get all the Hek Prime pieces, and when you go to craft it, you're asked if you want to optionally toss in your original Hek for the catalyst and polarites, and when you do you notice that the Hek Prime comes with a V polarity, so you reapply your polarites as v,v,-,-. You lose your original Hek, but your new prime now has the catalyst and the 4 forma'd polarities of your Hek.

    Again, yes this might, in the short term, encourage less catalyst/reactor buying, but in the long run long-term players will be less hesitant on spending catalysts and reactors, and encouraged to invest in weapon slots. You are now given a reason to keep weapons for something more than just mastery fodder if you had a passing interest in them. This is just me talking, but if I knew my weapons were "future proof," granted I spent the time getting the parts for their improved versions, I'd sure as hell start catalysting things like the Vasto Prime, Tipedo, Tiberon, Hek, Torid, Kestrel, etc.

  10. Edit: Also the way he talks that a melee weapon should be used with any frame? Like trying to fitting a square peg into a round hole and then getting angry that it doesn't fit. Synergize with your frame. Use a Saryn with miasma for corrosive procs then use a viral weapon. This whole "I should be able to do any weapon any frame anytime" mentality seems.... just wrong.

    Every frame is effective with guns, why shouldn't every frame be effective with melees?

  11. When they first started mentioning features of  the ability mod removal patch, they assured us that abilities would not reset when the frame was forma'd. Apparently that idea was quietly swept under the rug in favor of more painful grinding. Really wish they would have followed through on the original idea. It wouldn't even be difficult to code, as they already have flags in place for weapons to check for forma in order to determine whether or not it qualifies for trade. If a forma is on a frame, it should flag a trigger to instantly toggle all abilities to max rank, plain and simple.

  12. Frankly this video is quite inaccurate.

    "Dakra Prime is the only melee weapon that can pull this off (melee only)" he says.

    Really? I just tested using Ember and Jat Kitty, melee only on Ceres vs. lvl 35-ish Grineers, zero problem without using any abilities or guns.

    Ember is also tied for the highest amount of stamina in the game, almost twice as much compared to the next tier.

    "dakra prime is only melee weapon wich can do this" Do you scindo prime bro? or dual ichors bro?  Srly scindo prime can one shot lvl50 corrupted heavy gunner if you get lucky critical/finisher while channelling, not to mention it is capable give you 600+ health with one critical if you use UNRANKED life strike, ichors in other hand just overpowers enemies by sheer number of hits(its also your go to weapon for those high number of hits with right mods)

    All other points are true. Only thing i disargeed with was that dakra prime thing.

    Three weapons out of almost seventy. You sure showed him.

  13. i dont understand, all of those dont need to be zoomed in, the penta arcs too much for a zoom to matter, the castanas are pretty acurate (the one in the left hand is thrown a littl to the left) and the quantas are mid to close range machenegun/lasers, i dont see why you need to get a closer look

    Quanta = 50 meters, no zoom

    Phage = 25 meters, zoom

    This = Logical?

    Don't get me wrong, I've used the Quanta for so long that I rarely zoom with any weapon now, and if they gave it a zoom I wouldn't use it, but I'd definitely disable it for the Phage. It's already a keybinding, you're arguing against making it functional. "Nah m8, they should leave broken keybinds in the game, cuz I can't see why you would zoom in with a gun that has a 50 meter reach!"
