  1. I know this probably isn't a very large issue, as I have never seen anyone use a hammer apart from the Jat Kittag (which looks alright) in game, but the Magistar and Fragor are seriously ugly.

I know the Fragor is supposed to be a comically large hammer so I'm not going to argue against that. But why the heck is it so thin?!!!! It feels like I'm smashing my enemies with a large textbook nailed to a stick goddamnit! If you're going to have a cartoonishly large hammer as weapon, can we at least make it large in all dimensions?

On the other hand, the Magistar suffers from the opposite issue. It's head is significantly smaller than the other hammers, yet the handle is roughly the same length. If I'm not looking carefully it almost looks I'm just hitting my enemies with a pole!

So please, if your modellers have the time, make the Fragor's head a lot thicker, make the Magistar's handle shorter (and also increase its attack speed pretty please?). Thanks.

  2. So, the dual swords debate has risen again with the opinions of martial artists being in drawn into the debate. It never ceases to amaze me how people so easily fall into the logic trap of "there can only be one." But I digress, I propose that as a solution to this dilemma, we simply separate the existing dual sword into two categories. One for two equal length swords that uses the current stances, and also includes axes like the Zorens. One for rapier and main-gauche weapons that has new stances. The animation team seems to greatly enjoy making new stances, so I'm sure that this wouldn't be too unreasonable of a request. The Nami Skyla would be moved into the second category of course, and those of you who are bothered by the improper usage of the dagger in the combos would finally be able to breath a sigh of relief. The remaining dual swords can be divided into either category as per the devs' choice.

P.S. Although the Dual Skana would probably have to go into the first category as there is no "Skana-dagger" in existence.

P.P.S. Can we please get a dual hammer/mace weapon consisting of two miniature Fragor/Magistar?

  3. Ok but this isn't the street this is a game we all have in common and if de does go to the community for feed back it shouldntnjust be one big circle jerk of everyone agreeing with everyone. Who is to say I dont like what you think should be done in the ember rework but I dont say anything and I hate the frame after it is don't, or a collective of the games players comen up with a very well rounded solution to which most if not all agree. Which sounds better?. And debating isnt yelling at some one they are wrong, it is to bring up counter points pr ideas they might have never thought of as to why somethings are a certain way or are not a certain way

Because everyone turns into a sociopath on the internet an loses all capability to care for the benefit of others, instead stubbornly proclaiming that their way is the only right way.

  4. Not much point in debating opinion. If someone makes a request for something you don't like, there's no point in posting in their thread. It's better to make a new thread regarding the same topic. For example, ember reworks. Someone is going to keep their ember rework thread the same no matter what because they think they're right. If you don't like their rework ideas, make a new thread posting better suggestions and maybe their thread will get crushed. Nothing to be gained by debating people over whether what they want is right.

Do you also walk up to people on the street, ask them what their favorite color is, and then proceed to tell them that it isn't that color?

  5.

This will be a long post, proposed changes in the first section, reasons and theory-crafting in the second.

I haven't been playing the game very long, but found that many of these changes resonate with the issues I've had with the current state of the game. I tend to do theory crafting on all of the games I play, so here are the changes I've come up with. Incidentally, many of the changes I thought of have already been expressed in other posts on the forum.

    Some comments on your post:

    1. Then maybe you should refrain from dictating how certain Warframes should work until you've had more experience? Generally people don't take it well when someone starts bossing everyone around on their first day at the job.

    2. Stop calling things "shouts", it's only going to provoke people who dislike copying from other games "buff/debuff" is enough.

    3. You are too eager to completely remove abilities and replace them with new ones. Read Archwizard's response to my question on the previous page to find out why this is a bad idea.

    4. You are classifying Warframes into roles with no justification, and your roles in general are quite loosely defined. It seems that you want to make it so that there must be a Warframe of each role in every party, and turn roles more like those of a classic RPG, not everyone agrees with that.

    5. The same can be said about your ability classifications. You can classify abilities a million ways, and none of them would be wrong. Stop thinking about what category an ability is supposed to fall in, and changing it to suit that category. Instead, try to regard the ability individually, as if it is unique. Try to discern what purpose the ability itself is supposed to accomplish and decide whether or not it is fulfilling its purpose adequately.

    6. Opinions. Apart from Nekros, there isn't a single Warframe that should be subjective in terms of what changes they need. You need to be more objective with your arguments, stop thinking "I can do it better this way" Also, stop saying "Most people..." if you don't have the statistics/public support that back it up.

    7. Free energy regen is heavily dependent on what direction the devs want to take the game in. You want the game to be more centered around constant ability use, but once again, not everyone wants to play that way.

I'm sure Archwizard can give better answers than me, but I'll give you a head start on improving your suggestions.

  6. First of all, Europa has a unique tileset.

Unlike your previous thread, I actually personally agree with this suggestion. That doesn't justify it as anything other than a mere opinionated demand towards DE though.

However, if we were truly going to be accurate to the real life solar system, then we would also have to add a lot more "worlds" (think Mario). If Europa is a moon, but exists as a separate "world" from Jupiter, then it would only make sense for the major moons of all other planets to be separate. Phobos should not exist apart from being a node on Mars, as it is only a plain asteroid the size of a large city captured by Mars in its orbit. However, some of these moons are bigger than things that we already have as "worlds" (Saturn's moon Titan is bigger than Pluto) so it wouldn't make sense to exclude less significant objects such as dwarf planets. All in all, we would end up with this massive list of "worlds" to make consisting of all the major moons and named dwarf planets in the solar system:

    The Moon

The rest of the Galliean moons: Ganymede, Io, Callisto

Saturn's largest moons: Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, Iapetus, Titan

    Neptune's largest moon: Triton

Uranus' largest moons: Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, Oberon

    Pluto's moon: Charon

    Varuna

    Quaoar

    Orcus

    Ixion

    Haumea

    Makemake

    Salacia

    Varda

    Chaos

    Huya

If all of these worlds were added with their own unique tileset, then there would be no doubt that Warframe has become the most awesome game in the world. I will also personally drink champagne out of DE_Steve's shoes. However, both are unlikey.

  7. I kept trying to get into Tf2 but I couldn't get over the fact that it is a complete borefest; the gameplay is not fun and there's very little sense of progression, the longest I managed to play before uninstalling is around 15 hours, and my total playtime is 34 hours.

I've installed&removed it 3 times, and now I can confidently say that I will never download it ever again.

What can I say, play and see if you are still hyped about the game after 30 hours, because many games seem amazing at first, but then you stop caring about them in a day or two.

Stop trying to find a progression in a FPS game.

The only progression there is is completing your weapon collection.

Otherwise you just have to enjoy playing and training your skill.

    Random crits

Long list of stupid weapons, reserve shooter is my favourite.

Most maps valve has made are horrible, hydro being the shining turd.

Indeed, there is a little dressup involved but nothing that should make you look on how you can "progress" other than getting a bit better by playing.

Remember, stock is almost always the best weapon.

Actually, the progression is the improvement of your skills. The game actually has a quite high barrier of entry (high enough so that I could never cross), as if you lack the necessary reflexes and reaction time, it is impossible to enjoy the game.

You can't progress by mindlessly grinding, the only way you can progress is by specifically training, like practicing a sport. You have to spend hundreds of hours training on rocket jump and mge servers to even start to get a sense of what the game is supposed to feel like. They say that it takes 10 000 hours to master anything, well TF2 has 9 classes, so in order to actually "master" and "finish" the game, you would need 90 000 hours of gameplay. For a more extreme example, look at Quake 3 Arena/Live or Counterstrike 1.6. Newbies simply cannot enjoy those games unless they are extremly talented when it comes to shooters.

  8. Well, since we're proposing unrealistic requests regarding unique tilesets, real life aspects of planets, and the layout of the solar system...

I would like to see all of these objects appear as worlds (planet/derelict/void/asteriod-the-size-of-a-city-that-should-not-have-its-own-tileset):

    The Moon

The rest of the Galliean moons: Ganymede, Io, Callisto

Saturn's largest moons: Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, Iapetus, Titan

    Neptune's largest moon: Triton

Uranus' largest moons: Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, Oberon

    Pluto's moon: Charon

    Varuna

    Quaoar

    Orcus

    Ixion

    Haumea

    Makemake

    Salacia

    Varda

    Chaos

    Huya
