...But...What about the Lore? Prime's are weapons from the Orokin Era we get the parts for and build. We can't create any Prime Weapons. War was created by the Sentient Hunhow (using Stalker's hate (no, not the scythe), I believe), and to have "War Prime" would pretty much be saying, "Sentients can make Prime Weapons." And if Sentients can make Prime Weapons, why can't Lotus? Before that statement gets misunderstood, I am aware that she's supposed to have been weakened upon entering out solar system.

Basically, War Prime wouldn't make sense from a Lore standpoint, and it'd probably be MR locked (like, MR 22, probably), like regular ol' War (only MR 10 or 12, I think).

Also, it just doesn't really make sense.

I'm thinking MR 30, and you get it as a log in reward on the 1500th day.

both are slash based heavy blades that have VERY similar stats, with scindo just being better in some points in exchange for some range. the weapons play exactly the same, and another one of them will not help. on top of that there is the war which is an impact version of the galatine with better stats.

and then there is dual dagger weapons that cant crit, claws that cant slash and reapers that are just mastery fodder.

Incorrect, War is closer to Scindo Prime in Stats. War has the Crit chance of a Scindo Prime and the Status of a Galatine, but it has the base attack speed that puts it closer to the Scindo Prime in regards to stats.

Knowing this, the Galatine Prime will probably have a higher base damage then the War, yes, but not the same Crit Chance, and even with a Primed Fury, a Berserker Body Count Blood Rush War will hit faster then a regular Galatine, and reach Red Crits.

What one must consider is this, how will it be in comparision. I hope that its Critical Chance will either stay at 10%, or go up to 15%. However, increase its Critical Multiplier to something like 5x, 6x, maybe even 8x. Make the Crits rare, but oh so satisfying. Even with Blood Rush you cannot get auto crits on a Galatine, or atleast not very quickly, which means a rather lack of Red Crits being available.

name a prime that is an actual sidegrade to its base weapon. Its a strict upgrade, even if its in weird directions sometimes. Im not saying that having those primes is a bad thing, i jsut want other things first to improve the diversity of top tier weapons.

    Sicarus Prime?

both galatine and tigris prime are bad ideas, as both of them are part of the most prominent weapon types in their catoegory already. Shotguns are amoungst the strongest primaries and heavy blades are the best melee. Galatine is a clone of scindo already and we have sancti tigris that is god tier too. why are we not allowed to use other weapon types in high level missions.... (dual daggers? claws? crossbows?)

You can. I'm sure there is a YouTube video somewhere showing this.

Also... how do you get a Giant Sword is a clone of a Giant Axe with rather different stats? Not to mention the most used heavy blade is War currently, and it used to be people saying Dragon Nikana or Dakra Prime or go home, which were out before War.

  4. The issue to be remembered is this. You may very well say you wouldn't mind if it lost the gold trim and the effects... but have you actually considered what a non primed set would look like?

There most likely would be no energy effect like what you get when channeling with Targis Prime and Edo Prime, would be no funnels, just a ridged oval on the arms, some shin armour that looks like the leg is in a cast... but the chest piece very well may look good.

Basically, a lot of the flair of the Prime set would not be in a non primed set. Even if DE makes it, to be honest most that are saying they would get it, would probably in the end not get it. DE is most likely thinking this, which would be wisest. What should be done is something akin to an artists rendition of what a common Targis set would look like, then go from there. That, or something set up so that anyone who said they would buy it pays for it before it is released so they can put the time into it, assuming enough does this, without anyone backing out, and it would not become a wasted effort.

  5. Its more then just a bit, it is a lot different.

Sobek was brought into the category of good to use weapons with Acid Shells, but it still doesn't do as much damage per hit as the Boar Prime.

The way I have the two built, where the Sobek can do alot of crowd control with the Justice proc, my I use my Boar Prime with three of the Elemental/Status mods, doing both Corrosive and Blast, and it can stun lock groups at range, plus has a faster reload time and larger magazine.

Boar Prime is also suited more for a run and gun style then the Sobek, which can make it a lot more fun to use.

im fine with Gammacore nerf about the energy used to gave, still atm would be pointless as Zenurik and Arcane Energize are even more OP compared on how Gamma pre-nerf used to be

... man, you've been out of the loop haven't you?

Take a look at your Synoid Gammacor loadout, and look at it's stats.

If you don't have one, just try comparing its stats to the regular Gammacor, or look up an old review of the Synoid Gammacor.

    Edit:

Here's an idea, do a raid where the only offensive firearm you can take is the Synoid Gammacor.

Can take any Melee weapon you want, including the Redeemer, but you must fire your weapon.

  7. What got nerfed more though, Trinity, or Synoid Gammacor?

The nerf to Trinity did kind of make sense, just not for usage in Raids... but don't need Trinity in them... just a "need" there.

As for the nerf to the Synoid Gammacor... well... I don't think making it into a Glaxion that doesn't even freeze enemies makes sense, I'd rather it be a Synapse with the Atomos being the Amprex. More direct damage while being ammo efficient, but less mass DPS.

  8. Lex Prime, Sonicor, Vaykor Marelok, AkSomati, AkStilleto Prime, Telos AkBolto, Spira Prime, Hikou Prime, and the Atomos.

These are all great weapons to be used endgame, being used differently and modded differently. Hikou Prime I enjoy with an Arcane Awakening Syandana due to its low magazine size and fast reload and fire rate. Atomos is great in defence missions, with the Sonicor giving good crowd control.

I am sure there are more, and for the record, if you are asking for a singular answer... don't expect that to be the outcome because there will be multiple singular answers of different weapons.

Thats another thing i cant get, builds depending from your own playstile,

Whats the point in asking other people builds if you going to use him in a different way.. It sounds like ask other people shoes imo

Sometimes that info can give insight to a way that, one may not of thought of, maybe with mods one never really looked into, and can at times actually suit their play style, or be very close to it.

  10. Few things... there is already a dual primary... and its a Secondary, the Twin Grakata's.

The Twin Kohmak is a straight upgrade from the regular Kohmak as everything is the same but it's magazine and ammo pool, no change to reload speed.

There has been a dual shotgun for the longest of time, and it is called AkBronco (Prime).

Vaykor Hek is not the worst Shotgun in the game, it is a gun you want to aim for heads with, regular Hek you just body shot.

i recently got my hands on a quick thinking mod
i check on that website how much it would cost and i saw prices like 2 platinum
    those prices aint real
im MR11 and only days ago i got that mod

How much time have you spent in the Void? There are still some mods that I don't have that would be considered somewhat easy to get, but don't have thanks to RNG, and I'M Mastery Rank 20. Just last month I finally got the first Glaive Stance mod, Gleaming Talon.

  12. You know... its pretty funny.

I come here, and about 90% of the posts are complaint oriented, but in different ways. We got those that are saying its no good, should do better damage, or cost less. Got those that are saying this is OP, Melee doesn't need more of a buff. Some are here just to complain.

I personally like this. Its not that great of a damage boost, but a slight one. Making it cost less then it does currently won't change much now will it? See that Forma in your inventory? You would need to use it on your weapon still if you wanted all mod slots used even if the cost was 2 points lower.

Remember, Melee was not in the most useful way before. Then we got Blood Rush and Shadow Step, then suddenly people said Melee is OP.... Melee is subjective to a few things, and the right situation. These are things that help bring people to using Melee, to perhaps break them away from using certain ranged weapons.

This is a mod that will be only available for a while, disappear, then reappear later, for those who were not able to get it before, to get it then, and remember, Primed Mods are meant as a reward for those who are in endgame, those that have the resources, or can get the resources. Anyone given the time can get to endgame.

Primed Serration and Primed Hornet Strike are likely non existent since they are already rank 10 max mods.

I do not think that having so called Mandatory mods is a bad thing, since there is still plenty of room for mod diversity... just not so much when it comes to Sniper Rifles... bit more limited there. Basically there are those that like straight up damage, those that like status, and also utility. The concept of having these mods, means something for new players to work for at first, and they aren't that hard to get. In fact, technically Vitality, Redirection, Steel Fiber, Vigor/Primed Vigor, and Quick Thinking are all mandatory mods, but which ones you take usually depend on which frame you take. If Damage 3.0 is to exist, then I would severely hope that DE fixes enemy scaling, and makes our weapons that would be considered underpowered/useless (the Seer, and those that are only slightly better then the Seer) better, but knowing that by doing that, there comes an issue. We have access to a large amount of weapons to choose from... so would the only difference be the name between two weapons?

For the record, my main melee weapon is the Galatine, and yes, I have a Scindo Prime and the War. Currently no Blood Rush on it, and is always fun when I accidentally activate Shadow Step (forgot to swap Primary School's).

  13. To me, the main thing that should be looked at is the cost of channeling.

Compare the channeling of using the Furax Wraith vs the Fragor Prime. Both have the highest Channeling Muliplier, but they both cost the same when using them, with a rather large gap in bang for the buck.

I feel that Channeling costs should be reduced for some weapons, like Sparring, Fists, Daggers, etc. to something like 1, 2 energy per hit, maybe 0.5, with Hammers and Heavy Blades having an increased energy cost... with an exception. The amount of energy should be different for some of them, like the Magistar looks easier to swing around then a Jat Kittag, so it should cost less. Galatine and Gram are giant Swords, where as the Scindo and Scindo Prime are both giant axes, so the swords should be less then the axes... with the possible exception of the War since it is Impact based... and possibly its relation to the Sentients....

Add to that some weapons maybe getting elemental damage added like some Sparring weapons getting bonus heat damage, and possibly having the end result of energy cost determined by a frames Power Efficiency.

I might have been the first to mention a nerf, I certainly did not ask for one. Thanks for the congratulations though, seems you flipped entirely my actual intentions and made a pun out of it. Congratulations to you too I guess.

Also, I would like to know then what is the point of the post then? Calling something OP and then what? An advice on how to mod it so it is not? This is actually a good guess since this is in player helping players for some reason; but it seems like a really weird request if you ask me.

The point was a player that is not very well experienced with things was asking a question about a weapon he just started using, wondering if it was perhaps the best weapon, or one of the, in the game.

  15. Saryn is a frame of synergy. Her first ability will weaken (and kill if low enough) enemies, and spread to nearby enemies if you break any spores.

Second is good for a distraction... slight distraction at high levels (used it in a TIV Survival all the way to about 80 minutes solo, the aggro on something in one direction kept the bombard missiles from targeting me while I activated Life Support) and can remove any harmful status effects currently on your frame, plus dealing Toxic damage to enemies in range when destroyed/timer hits 0. You can also cast Spore onto the Molt for only 50% of the energy cost, and when Molt goes, so does any Spores on Molt, and then infecting any nearby enemies, of which you can hasten by casting Molt again.

Toxic Lash can add a decent amount of Toxic damage to your melee weapon, and sometimes that Damage Reduction bonus can be a life saver. The ability will guarantee a Spored enemy hit by your melee will have at least 1 Spore burst, and for each Spore that bursts by Toxic Lash, you get 2 energy back, which may not sound like a lot... but in situations where enemies will pile up, the return on energy can be quite immense.

Miasma, the ultimate ability, can do some nice damage, and disable enemies for a duration. The damage from this is increased 100% when the enemies hit have a Viral Proc on (for instance, Spore damage), and another 100% when effected by a Toxic Effect (Molt, Toxic Lash), to which end, while casting Miasma, if a Molt is in range, it will be destroyed before you are done casting Miasma. The Viral and Toxic effects do not need to come from Saryn's abilities, they can also come from weapons and a few other sources.

The first three of her abilities are all counted as one handed actions, so you can still shoot, reload, etc. without interruption, and really, her most potent ability is Spore due to that Viral.

    Yay~

Another "this is op, plz nerf" post. At this point I am hardly taking any of them seriously. I can't wait until this trend falls out of popularity.

Then this should be a refresher because, YOU are the first to ask for the nerf in this thread. Congratulations sir.

this , im personally in my corner for umbra ember/equinox ....and umbra nova = darkmattert?

Ouch (had trouble editing the quote)

I do believe I heard something about Umbra having different stats from Prime... and who knows, DE might make the Scarf available from the Market, or given free to those that have Excalibur Prime if it is an Auxiliary.

Also, I would rather like an Equinox Prime/Umbra... or who knows, maybe they will be two different frames that you can build and use, but then combine them for Equinox Smorgasbord, gaining the passive ability of anything that gets too close to it gets sucked in like a Black Hole.
