I literally am unable to get past the first area.

And when I do, I get my teeth kicked in in the second.

Still, my talents lie elsewhere.

As in, I'm seriously thinking a Deprived run for Dank Soles is plausible.

If only I knew how to strim it.

Oh.

I can beat the Eyeball boss on my first character pretty consistently.

Yeah, true.

Neither has my salt FOR FROST'S GODDAMNIT FLOATY HANDS.

Rogue Legacy isn't even that hard until you do the special bosses.

Those took hours at a time to beat.

*angrily shakes fist at hundreds of dead children*

You clearly haven't tried hotline miami 2's hard mode yet.

Sorry, what?

I can't hear you over how much I don't want to touch Hotline Miami 2.

And I've seen it.

You're also an insano-maniac.

*comes back*

Stop, I'm not a waifu, and never have been.

But you look like one.

*sniff*

And smell like one.

*slays you in twain*

Do they do the same thing every run-through?

The levels in the first are the same every time you fail at them, but most, if not all, new levels present new challenges.

You can get into routines that work.

Most of the time, if memory serves.

See, I don't want to have to change my strategy every time I run a level.

Consistency is something I really prefer in games.

If you're talking one level, then the enemies in the first can almost always be bested with the same routine.

If you're talking subsequent levels, they change.

And there's one part in the first that takes the pacing of the game and chloroforms it, but it picks up after that.

I've killed you a few times.

The satisfaction is there.

*slays you again*

*blade bounces off*

There we go.

Why don't you attack Alza, she has ears and a tail.

The magic couch doesn't like you like this, huh?

I guess not.

*hides behind Alza*

He's annoying me.

You can use the same strat every time you run a level, you'll just have to make some minor changes each time because some of the enemies like to wander around to different places or just spawn in different places on the floor. They're not like huge changes you're going to have to make to your strat, and they add some replay to the levels so you never have a strat that'll kill everyone by doing the same thing every time.

I'm concerned with single levels.

I don't want to die on a level to discover that it has changed the way it was functioning prior to that death.

Because.

You look exactly like a waifu I can't kill via normal means.

Therefore, this is what I have to stoop to.

And no.

They're different.

How so?

He means well..

It's nothing personal I'm sure.

Well... he's killed me quite a few times.

Maybe this whole body thing was a good thing, he can't kill me now.

As me and Reliant have said, for the most part enemies stay in the same place each time, it's just there are the stragglers that wander around and occasionally change positions after you die, but it's never a monumental change that breaks the whole strat. If anything, most of the time it's a minor inconvenience. And dying in Hotline Miami is about as a slap to the wrist as deaths comes. You WILL die, a lot, but all you have to do is press a button and bam you're back at the latest checkpoint ready to kick a$$ and most likely die again.

Oh, no.

Hotline Miami is wonderful for letting you beat your head against levels, getting better each time.

You get into grooves, and repeat them with each unexpected death.

It's a neat game, and the different masks allow for different playstyles.

How so?

I mean, they're not really...a waifu.

At least, not one like you're emulating.

You know I have problems with my bloodlust!

And, besides, if I wanted to actually kill people, I would.

That's true.. and I'm not quite the same as the waifu you look like.

Not being able to die is pretty handy.
