Dogefighter Posted November 1, 2015 Share Posted November 1, 2015 Why Dark Souls 2's storytelling is worse than the first. Hm i wouldn't say it's worse, necessarily It's...different. As i've said in the past, DS1 was much more about the world, and it achieved it beautifully. Everything has lore, everything has a purpose. This was, however, the first age of fire, where mankind was just getting started. DS2 is the x(th) age of fire, where mankind presumably has advanced. It's still medieval-ish, ofc, because that's dark souls, but it all feels more progressed, and the game (especially SOTFS) focuses a lot on mankind, and the character. Long story short, me and a friend are going to close a case. Depending on what we do tonight, we might not live to see another day.
