I feel that the amount of sheild should be lowered and the recharge rate should be increased.

There are mods in-game that let you increase your shield capacity, as well as mods that increase your shield recharge rate.. I know those aren't the answers to your request, but I think these customization mods allow you to choose what kind of survivability you're looking for (not to mention armor/hp).

While I do agree that the recharge rate *should* be increased, if only a bit because without any mods it's a painful crawl to regen all the way.

yes but they go on base stats since its all % based. also i find recharge rate extreamly rare, ive played maybe a good around 30 hours and have only found 1 maybe im just unlucky

My volt curently has more then 400 shields. It drops at later levels in seconds and recharges for atleast half a minute. In large batles when every thick of the shield counts its kinda hard to survive, as health drops are only found in lockers.

Maybe the Frame shield upgrade could increase recharge rate or the recharge time.

My lvl 29 Excalibur has over 3k shield :)
