Most people didn't get creative with the "pancakes" thing, and said whatever they thought sounded random and funny. So, instead of some stupid "lol, i'm so random" crap, I'm going to tell you a story about how pancakes brought me closer to a culture I didn't understand when studying abroad in India. So, in India, there's lots of open air markets and vendors, some of which sell some really great food. One stand I was passing by was selling these pancake things called malapua, which is like a banana, coconut pancake that they deep fry. They're freaking delicious. I hardly knew any Hindi, but the guy running the stand knew some English, and his kids were nearly perfectly fluent.
