Parabellum Posted February 18, 2013 Share Posted February 18, 2013 You can do this: Install the launcher using the installer, then move the game's files that you've copied to the folder you want to install the game to. ghettoblaster Posted February 18, 2013 Share Posted February 18, 2013 (edited) You could download and install cameyo http://www.cameyo.com/ it should let you turn it into a portable app. I was able to make a version by installing the game and capturing the install. I did have to tweak the package. it does have limited access though so access to program files, app data and registry should be contained on the usb stick. You have to have cameyo installed. You might want a usb stick greater than 4gb as it it's currently about 1gb and may grow larger with each update.You may download here http://ul.to/8o4bjkic or build it yourself if you don't trust the download. To build it yourself once you install cameyo and have the game unisntalled. open cameyo go to studio, then capture app locally. cameyo will make a pre install snapshot. Once the snapshot is complete you should see a menu at the bottom saying install done or cancel. install warframe.msi then click the button that says install done once warframe is done installing and getting any updates. once that is complete if you click computer on cameyo then right click the warframe package and edit package. Under general settings choose data mode. Under advanced choose recreate shortcuts and associations. Copy Warframe.cameyo.exe that should be in your documents/Cameyo apps folder to your usb stick along with cameyo. then click on the warframe package under cameyo or run the .exe. They do have a method to make apps online but I had to do it locally because it was having problems with directx installing, I think it has to do with uac. I removed the game from my computer and the gameplay is pretty smooth running off usb 2.0 you might get better gameplay if you have a usb 3.0 stick to try.
