Deimos mining endless mission not registering succesful bonus objective completion

Played endless mission (strip mining) with an acquaintance yesterday on Deimos. While UI shows supposed completion of bonus objective at the end of every step (a ticked out box), the symbol appearing at the top after the end of each phase remains blue (rather than gold indicating perfect completion). Played for about two hours (11 or so rounds) while easily defending excavators - nearly all the rewards, again, were ayatan stars, with a few times endo popping out here and there and a couple of mods (by the end, one or so of them being silver/uncommon tier).

Given how long it takes (again, two hours and not far from 100 excavators defended) to get anything beside first of the common tier rewards and how different it is compared to other excavation objectives in the game, I am pretty sure it's seriously broken.
