Teleport volumes should have a grace period while fading to black to allow recovery

While it's understandable that correcting all the teleport volumes in the many tilesets where they are now unnecessary would be a huge effort, I would like to see the teleport delayed by a second or two to allow the player to recover from e.g. a fall by bullet-jumping or wall-hopping out. Too often, in many levels, you can fall into an objectively trivial place to escape from, but the fade-to-black effect immediately takes you back to another point in the tile and breaks the flow of gameplay. I believe that adding a small grace period during the fade (to indicate that you are at risk of being reset) would make for a more satisfying experience.
