Nemorac Posted February 6, 2014 Share Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) Okay, so on doing an invasion mission and siding with Corpus, I hit a Grineer with Soul Punch on my Nekros, and saw something weird...a blue number. I hit a few other Grineer, and noticed the blue number continuing to appear. So, it seems that the Soul Punch skill gives Grineer (possibly Infested too, haven't tested) shields when they don't have any, just to hit shields that aren't supposed to be there, thus taking damage away from being dealt to the enemy. EDIT: After a bit more testing, it seems it gives them shields for any damage done to them by colliding into walls. Still weird as hell.
