Question About Leaving Void Defense Missions

So now Void Defense has been changed to endless, however I'm wondering how they handle people choosing to leave. If one person from the group leaves, does the rest of the group go on? Also, is the Void Key consumed when the leader leaves the group, or when someone else leaves? If anyone knows that would be great.

The group does continue, even if someone leaves. The void key is not consumed because the leader did not finish the mission.

It is the same as any defence mission, Also I think the key is auto consumed when you start the mission I had a failed mission that still used up the key.
