Mazikeen
RNG exists in a lot of parts of Warframe, and I feel Status could be better without any random part. Right now, it give a "chance" to proc. How about making it linear? Instead of a chance, it could determine the status strength. Let's take an example: for instance, a weapon with a 10% status chance dealing some fire damage. Right now, each shot has a 10% to provide the full strength proc. The alternative could be for this weapon to create an immediate fire DoT on first shot, with a 10% of maximal strength. Then, the second shot would make the DoT at 20% of maximum strength. When 100% of the strength is reached, the maxed effect is starting (the part where the fire effect makes the target panics). What are your thoughts? OblivionNecroninja
I support player weapons having 100% proc chances.I do not support same for enemy weapons.
Volt_Cruelerz
Very similar to what I suggested in my fixing the fundamentals thread on the subject. I'd vote yes.
Noble_Cactus
I'm all for a Potency system. SortaRandom brought it up in the Strun thread. It's similar to how you idea works, except that the current Status Chance would be translated into Potency (status chance would now be 100% on player weapons). The higher the Potency on a weapon, the greater a proc's effect would be. For example, a 10% potency Fire proc wouldn't last long at all. But at 50% or so, it'd last for much longer, and each tick would hit much harder.
