I came out with an opinion, why don't we let our melee weapons have direct influence on abilities and make mage staff for warframes that simply want a mage gameplay, like frost, and scale its influence so it has more influence on mages and less on say, rhino. So that we can actually scale better for endgame and boost our abilities directly. Many games have different base damage multipliers for physicala nd ability damages, we have elemental and physical. Mage abilities can have more elemental focus and their melees too. Rhino may have more physical damage so his melee should have more physical damage. In WF each character is pretty much a jack of all trades generalist. Their core competencies are abilities, melee, mobility and gunplay. Those aren't things they currently trade off for eachother.
