The tables can look more like this

0001-1000=bronco prime bp

1001-2000=braton prime bp

2001-3000=reaper prime handle

3001-4000=boar prime stock

4001-5000=??? Prime part

Rolling a 5000 sided dice would make it so it's easily possible to keep getting the same bp over and over while still having the same amount of chances to get any other bp. This isn't a table top game with only a six sided die bein rolled and even if it was the is still a chance to get 15 ones in a row even if it's really unlikely.

Or you know... have a selection ratio of 100%/amount of parts in the table.

But I bet thats too hard to implement.

I just made a quick example. I don't know how DE determines rewards given out. You just seem really amazed at getting 15 of the same BPs in a row. How many threads have been started about running survival for 50+ min where they posted up the pic of the end rewards and all thats there is credit caches, cores, and resources as the reward with only one older prime Bp? I'm not saying I like how rng works in this game but I'm not astounded when i see the rewards repeating themselves.

We'll see how you feel when it happens outside of Survival missions.

Yep. **ck it. Im done. Another 30 min survival fruitless.

~10-12 survival hours total in the past 1.5 days. What a god damn torture, I love rhino and thats the only prime I wanted but this is just too god damn much. I dont want to look at warframe for god knows how long.

End of hype torture train.

I feel the same way already. I've been playing for while now. Void missions and crappy rewards that I'm not looking for is nothing new to me. That's just how it goes when your looking for a certain part out of many. I always try and stay caught up with DE and usually have all the weapons and frames before new one get released.

Also if I roll that dice for long enough I will roll a 1 15 times in a row however unlikely.

Yes, but the chances of that happening assuming 6 sided dice is...

1 in 470,184,984,576

Given the number of threads about how often this kind of stuff happens, I think it's pretty obvious that rewards aren't weighted equally. Would it happen eventually? Sure. Would it happen as often as it does? Definitely not.

This is essentially the exact same thing as 5 sided dice. In your example, all 5 of the options have the same chance of getting rolled, a 1/5th chance. Just because you fracture the way to obtain each option into 1000 different ways doesn't mean you've changed the probability of landing that option if you increase each proportionally.

Read up on Gambler's Fallacy and the incident in Monte Carlo Casino in 1913. Having five heads in a row doesn't mean that it is more likely for tails to land in the next flip, it's still 50/50.

It is just RNG, go play a table top strategy game and you will experience all the woes of the dice.

Good job guys, you took down the pack of dire wolves.  Ok, let me roll from the loot table.  Apparently they had a +2 longsword and a +1 buckler.

While it is true that each future outcome is uninfluenced by past results, the point is that the probability of something like this happening is astronomically low. How often do you read about such cases happening? It will happen, no doubt, given enough tries, but it won't happen constantly. And the fact is that this kind of thing happens constantly in Warframe. Most void missions have consistently dropped pretty much 1 or 2 parts specifically for the vast majority of the time. When I was running a lot of T2 captures with various random people, pretty much everyone talked about how tired they were of Orthos BPs. When I was running T3 exterminates, pretty much everyone I played with was tired of getting Sicarus Prime Barrels. After playing many void missions with many different random people and seeing what they've all noticed bias towards, and noticing that they are all consistently always getting the same items, it's very obvious that the rewards are still tiered and not equal chance.

When you have a few outliers, then that is to be expected. When a very large number of people are hitting this astronomically low chance, something is wrong.

Granted, the forums are not the best place to gather information on this sort of thing. There's a lot of bias and those unhappy and unsatisfied are always louder. That's why I ask random people in game.

I was talking more of the.

"The commander of you army of super human's who has hundreds of years of experience and is the best of the best is swings his anti tank chain fist at the monolith sized vehicle not two centimetres away from him, Ok he missed end of combat stage."

Damn you dice gods why have you forsaken me!

Oh lol, yea, been there too.

Or:

"Ok, Mr. super dextrous thief of 20 levels with skill score of 23 +5 dex in acrobatics you've encountered some ice on the platform over the pit of lava (somehow) and the skill check is 10 to not slip and fall.  *rolls a 1 / auto-fail*"

Got to love that, hell one of the best part of those games is the randomness, "Your goon in pristine condition blew up and took your arm of" or the "Your champion that has been gifted deamonhood and has slain false gods died to a human with a combat knife"

don't worry after 81 runs I got my frost prime system.  I was so numb to the experience by then I just stopped trying to get prime things.  Perhaps you too will be able to move on and enjoy the other aspects of the game like the new modes that don't exist in the void. haha

70% of people: New mode? do primes drop in it? ...ok I'm ganna go farm the level from 10 patches ago because it has new loot.

Even then, your evidence is purely anecdotal, not to mention that such a small sample pool holds no credibility whatsoever.

Although it does merit further investigation.

I would not at all be surprised if drop tables were skewed against particular items, especially newer drops like Rhino P which I'm sure DE would much rather have us acquire via Prime Access.

It is happening way to much for RNG to not be broken, i got 8 sicarus prime barrels in a row also from t3ext. This was before rhino prime. So Each run gave me a 20% chance of getting a sicarus prime barrel. I was after forma. If drop rates were equal like was stated, my chances at getting that many sicarus prime barrels was 0.000256% and my chance to not get any forma was 16.77%. RNG is not behaving as stated it should be, everyone knows it, there are enough people hitting astronomical odds on everything for me to belive not that RNG is broken(this might be intended) but not working as it was stated that it should. More people should keep submitting their astronomical luck to those who believe rng is working as it was stated, more data, higher confidence intervals.

That being said, I'm beggining to keep data of everything i get from void missions. WE WILL GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS.

If you take a pair of dice and roll them for say 100 times you will roll 7 more times than any other number.  Maybe there is something like this going on.

it has nothing to do with that.

what you are describing works because all combinations of dice have the same likelihood of happening, but 7 has the most possible combinations, namely 1/6; 2/5; 3/4; 4/3; 5/2 and 6/1.

that has nothing to do with rolling one dice with as many faces as possible rewards, which is how rng with "same drop-rate for everything" should work.

When they say equal, I'm willing to bet that they only referred to prime parts and not the filler drops like credits, morphics and cells.

still doesn't explain how everyone gets certain prime parts 10 times more often than another prime part in the same reward-table.
