Lanka Electric Damage, Why?

"The Lanka fires a high velocity projectile through magnetic induction"

It fires a ferromagnetic bullet through magnetic induction. But it deals electric damage. Why? Shouldn't it deal physical and magnetic damage?

I propose that instead of 250 electric it's changed to 83 impact, 83 piercing and 84 magnetic and similar values for uncharged shot. It just makes sense.

It deals 250 electric damage.

Also, you know that using black font on black background is a terrible idea right? I had to highlight your text with LMB -_-

@ninja'd. Thanks for correcting it.

its an artifact from damage 2.0.

the lanka used to do serrated blade damage which ignored armor.

besides, electric is the best kind of base element for a gun to do as it can be turned directly into magnetic or radiation.

Even better considering the new mods are electric, gives more diversity to a build.

Serves me right for copy-pasting text from the wiki.

Best from an optimization viewpoint, not so great from a make-sense viewpoint. The rifle fires physical bullets, it should have a physical component.
