[Suggestion] Offline Metagame: Scouts

The Lotus commands us and sends us onto missions... we increase in skill and rank. What if we would become kind of a commander ourselfes?

The idea is:

-Increase in Rank gives us Scout Slots.

-Scouts are automated sentinel like robots we can craft.

-Bluerpints for them drop from Bosses and Alerts rarely and in different raritys resulting in common, uncommon, rare, unique Scouts when crafted.

-Scouts can be send on missions in systems to gather intel, find mineral deposits, Enemy locations.. whatever.

-Sending Scouts on Missions costs credits depending on mission and mission time.

-Missions are in real time and can take 1,3,6,12 or 24 hours to complete, depending on mission.

-Different Missions in different Systems and on different planets have difficultie levels.

-Difficulty level of Mission sets rewards and success rate. Higher lvl, higher reward, higher chance of failure.

-Scouts can gain level up when completing a mission which increases success rate of missions.

-Success of a mission depends on random values, mission difficulty, scout rarity and scout lvl.

-Mission outcomes can be: failed and the scout is destroyed, yield no intel and no reward is given, be successful and give reward or be a critical success with even higher and/or special reward.

-Rewards can be Credits, Ressources, Blueprints, mods or "special mission" unlocks which have to be completed within a small timeframe

-Most common rewards are "special mission" unlocks to encourage the player to play other missions besides picking the best planet to farm something repeatedly.

-Special missions are much like Alert missions and can be normal group or solo only.

-Scouts can be traded (when trading is implemented).

-Scouts can be sold for credits (higher lvl scout, more credits)

Intention is to have something to do or to wait for when not actively playing or sleeping or just doing something else. It offers more depth to the game other than doing one mission after another because you can basically search the universe for some interesting stuff to do or find.

It works like a credit and ressource sink because Scouts are intended to fail and be destroyed on occasion and to have a max lvl unique scout will be something very special (but the chance that this scout will fail any mission will be slim to none if you get it that far without being destroyed on the way.) I know it adds another pokemon aspect to the game but anyone who does not like it should just not use it. Its a definite "can do" .. not a "have to".

Mmm... Interesting.

Needs some more info, I think.

It is pretty clear what your going for but I'd like more info.

Some more info.. ok...let's see:

Mission Reward outcome would depend on the Planet you send you Scout to.

-Raid Mission can reward a Mod, rarity and amount depends on mission Difficulty/level

-(Mobile)Defense Missions can reward Blueprints of/for Warframes, Type depends on difficulty.

-Rescue/Spy Missions can reward "special mission" unlocks, mission type (quality) depends on difficulty.

-Sabotage rewards ressources, amount depends on difficulty.

-Assassination always rewards a good amount of credits and sometimes a Weapon Blueprint.

Every Mission Type will most likely reward the above specified stuff but can still give any other reward at a lower percentage so... a Defense Mission will most likely have a Warframe BP as a reward but can sometimes just give ressources or a Mod.

Scouts that failed a Mission but did not get destroyed have to be repaired for 50% of the crafting costs to be operational again.

-Scout rarity increases success chance by 5% per rarity above common.

-Scout rarity increases critical success chance by 5% per rarity above common.

-Base Mission success chance is 50 + (Scout lvl - Mission level)% so... lvl 30 Scout doing a lvl 50 Mission has a 30% chance of success (30 - 50 = -20 ... / ... 50 - 20 = 30%)

-Base critical success rate is 5% + rarity bonus

Additions to my ideas are welcome.

Cheers

+1

It would be cool if you could send out those Scouts to look for specific mods in systems, after which they point out where the particular mods are most likely to drop. This slightly increases drop rates and would give players some incentive to farm on other planets than the usual. There is also a time limit for you to farm for it (1-2 hours), after which you have to send out a new Scout to another system.

This would probaly not work, but if it does, I will hope that people stop asking about where to find Vitality and Redirection mods.
