I dont know the reduction of swing speed, but it only adds 7 points of normal swing damage. Not worth it in any means, unless you like how the skin looks?

With the axe? You wouldn't and especially with this fire rate reduction

Smith - did you try testing it against infested? Does it do more than 7 points on them? If not, I'd be inclined to agree.

in other words does it count as a flat bonus to the weapons core damage.

even if you did, 50 with a 42% damage mode (max) is

50 * 1.42 = 71(without skin)

57 * 1.42 = 80 (with skin)
