[Enemy Concept] Corrupted Butcher / Corrupted Scorpion

Faction: Orokin

Type: Melee

Weapon: Cleaver / Machete

 

Backstory: Same as for Corrupted Lancers and Crewmen - normal Grineer units, who wandered into the void and fell under the control of the neural sentry.

Appearance: Orokin-ified versions of the standard units

 

Unlike other Corrupted units, these are exclusive to T4 missions and T3 Defense after wave 15 / T3 Survival after 20 minutes. Scorpions have lost their grappling hook ability. Instead they charge at the player with full speed and violently attack you (increased attack speed compared to the standard units), forcing you to either take them out while they are still at a distance or engage in melee combat with them.

They would spawn about two in a squad of six enemies total (any one of those being an Eximus). As they can pose quite a threat to the player (if done right), their appearance should lead to shortly lowered overall spawn numbers.

 

Afterthought: Both enemies could actually be able to use (and drop) the corresponding stance for their weapon. Would be a nice touch, I think.
