Change Direction While Rolling

I know some people have complained about the rolls when you land a jump. I too am a little annoyed by them, but for the sake of realism (And I use that loosely), they really should be there.

 

Why not instead of being stuck in a animation when you land and possibly rolling off of whatever you were trying to land on, you could change the direction of the rolls with the camera or WASD keys? This would increase fluidity in movement greatly in my opinion.

i have managed to change direction of my roll when jumping off things, but only worked on so and so occasion, not a lot thou. maybe it was already there but left us to figure it out or maybe it was something that they, the devs did unknowingly.

If you change your direction before sticking your landing, you'll roll in that direction. It's not always obvious since your character doesn't actually change directions midair. And no, you can't change directions mid roll.
