Rewards Lost When Failing A Mission... Why ?

I think I like the system as it is now. For example in a defense mission you get the choice to leave with the rewards you have or keep going. The point is that you risk it. Its an all or nothing gamble. Remember some game shows you might have seen on tv? When someone loses they leave with nothing generally. They might have nearly won, massed up loads of winning cash just to lose it all. Thats the whole point. When you lose you get squat. Why reward a player for not doing the mission properly? Why should I care if I lose or fail if I still get everything along the way anyway? Before you know it people would be deliberately failing missions just so they can leave with their stuff.
