Nxai
Just use all your abilities and get proficient with them. I had to listen to a guy the other day saying all you needed was his 4, when it wasn't even killing the targets and he could have been more efficient with several casts of hallowed ground over the MD point to prevent status effects and damage anything coming at us. Kruglov
Oberon is great right now due to the changes. A month or so ago he was arguably the worst frame, now he's incredibly useful. - Smite now lets him stunlock an enemy in place while still being able to fire at it in the same way Volt and Nekro can. But he is causing the enemy to also have its damage reduced. Simultaneously all neaby enemies have their damage reduced and stumble causing them to cease fire briefly. Fantastic ability for neutering the damage output. - Hallowed Ground is still a bit mediocre in normal play but it does have some handy tricks. If placed under a Vaubans vortex it greatly increases dps. If its placed under a teammate near a particular powerful effect based enemy (napalms, bombards, venomous ancients) they can not be knocked down or poisoned or lit on fire. Most handy by far is that it can be placed on traps and trap doorways and teammates can easily walk through the lasers while being unaffected. - Renewal is a straight up heal. Not as good as Trinities but it scales just as well because it completely cures teammates of any status ailments and also slows any bleedout effects when someone has been KO'd. If someone on your team is losing health to status effects fast, or is currently bleeding out and needs to be picked up off the floor, it is immensely useful. - Reckoning was old Oberon's best ability. It's still new Oberon's best ability. Why? Because long after it's ceased being able to kill enemies, it provides very useful new status effects when it's cast that completely delays all enemies in a very large AOE from attacking. They are not only stunned, they are also blinded. Simultaneously even though the ability loses its power to kill, it causes a GUARANTEE'D radiation proc. Meaning Oberon's reckoning stops being Rhino Stomp Jr and turns instead into Nyx Chaos Jr and all the enemies start to fight each other instead of teammates or the pod. - Thats not even mentioning that Oberon has pretty high stats now and is somewhat tanky as far as frames go now. In short: DE put the BRO back in BROBERON. And they did it hard, harsh, and without lube. Mod him for efficiency (fleeting expertise is a must), and range, and bit of duration if you can fit it. Run around, stun big guys with smite, slam groups down reckoning, heal teammates with renewal. Use any aura you want on him, he's incredibly flexible. quan256
Here is my Oberon build Smite is great because you can spam it as a CC. Also Hallowed Ground + Renewal are great against Grineer due to they prevents Bleed Proc and Heal you. Reckoning is a great emergency CC.
darthdart
Hallowed Ground gives you more armor when you stand in it and heals/prevents status effects. It's amazing. I'd give up his natural armor stat for more shields or vitality though honestly. Even with max redirection/vitality, the numbers seem so low.
